I’ve been coming here for years for oil changes & other routine repairs. I was so thrilled to find a HONEST auto mechanic! I never felt that Don tried to cheat me. He’s not the smiley face type of guy but he’s cordial and HONEST! I would say 6 out 10 times — he turns me away after he does a quick check & a test drive. He usually tells me to drive more before I need to replace anything. Seriously, how many car mechanics turn customers away? Most mechanics usually try to get you to fix unnecessary things but not here. I hope he doesn’t retire anytime soon!!!

I used to go to a place in Cypress for my automobile needs because it was the place that all of my family members would go to. That place in Cypress was always a hit or miss for me, and the repairs weren’t always consistent. As a result, I started to look at other places nearby. Due to the fact that I worked down the street from here, I chose King’s Auto.
I’m glad that I made that decision to switch! Don from King’s Auto knows his stuff and I feel super confident in his repairs. He does not push you to repair things that you did not originally come for, and gives you the facts straight up. A lot of the mechanics that I’ve had in the past try to sell you repairs that seem unnecessary, but there aren’t really any tricks here — they are completely honest and transparent. I had some oil leaks in my BMW and I had King’s repair it. There were leaks coming from different places, and I got a fair estimate compared to the other places that I went to. It hasn’t leaked since, not to mention that he gave me a year guarantee to come back. This place definitely deserves a 5 star review!

After getting a few quotes I went with King’s Auto since they offered the best rate. They finished the job faster than expected and the bumper came out like new. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Will definitely come back.

I am a long time client of King’s and would not consider going anywhere else to have my older Mercedes serviced or repaired. The customer service at Kings is outstanding, and my car is always finished perfectly and within the stated timeframe. The prices here are the best and the work is always done even better than expected. I find the entire company to be honest and experienced and so accommodating to my needs and schedule.
I give nothing but the BEST recommendation to Kings for all your automobile needs!

I came here to get some scratches on my car removed. The guy I talked to was very chill (I think his name was David). Got almost all of the scratches out in just a couple of hours. Did a really good job! At a fair price too.

The owner isn’t exactly the nicest nor gentlest guy, but IT’S OKAY because you get what you go for — these people are like car doctors. They will know exactly what the problem is and be QUICK in fixing it. There is a waiting room btw! And your wallet won’t be crying upon leaving King’s Auto — the prices are more than reasonable.

They are honest, fast service to get the car fix and friendly service.
It has been many years the shop is there. My friends, relative and my self goes there.

Honest and best Body repair shop that you will find in Orange County. I’ve got into car Accident this morning on my way to work. Called AAA, and from Westminster to here was 13 miles and my membership only covers 7 miles of tow service and rest is extra charge per mile. But without a second thought I chose King’s Body Shop even if it meant extra cost to tow.
Owner David and Ray who works here are amazing. These guys are very funny too! My heart was sunken from unexpected accident which my Insurance didn’t cover, but after talking with these guys I was feeling so much better. I probably should have paid them for a Counseling session I received.
Look no further if you need Auto Body Works.

I am really upset coming here! I came here though recommendation because my boyfriend is a regular here and he swears by it!
I came here to get my brakes fixed since they started to talk to me every time I braked. They told me $ 240 to get it fixed and I said alright, let’s get it done! I left my car there for a few hours and everything went as expected. He called and I picked up my car.
After a month, I think, the car started to speak to me again. Really? I didn’t pay for my brakes to be fixed for a month just to go back again the next month. I expected quality service. I had a bad hunch from this place from the start. I should have listened to my gut feeling! I don’t think I will take my service here again. I will come back for them to address this problem and that’s it!
They are nice people though, but they are a little difficult to understand. Just keep that in mind.

My girlfriend brought her 4Runner after getting an estimate at JustTires for $ 1100.00 to replace a part related to suspension. Don noticed it was just a screw loose and tighten it and in the process replaced some rear stop burned lights all for $ 120.00 which is fair considering labor and time.
I like dealing with people who are honest and not those corporate style places who are always trying to take your hard earned money. I’m coming back for sure!

Got my car towed here because it was not starting and he was charging me $ 550 for fuel pump replace. I called around and pep boys was charging $ 360 and dealer was charging $ 428. This place is a rip off. Still had to pay $ 40 for me inspection which I fine with. But never going back here again.

I and my family have gone here over the years but we’ve all finally agreed to avoid this place. The last few times I’ve gone for major work King’s has taken advantage of us and grossly overcharged us while not even doing a good job. I think it’s gone downhill since a few of the old folks stopped working there.
If you’re just going there for something minor like an oil change you wouldn’t notice, but someday you’ll notice the greed when you’re charged a few hundred dollars upwards to a thousand because Kings needs to find some part, and then wonder if it needed to be replaced at all. (Wasn’t there a cheaper fix?) The invoices he writes are always so rough and vague they’re not convincing. (I used to think it was just a language barrier with the owner, but I now think he’s vague on purpose, as he relies on your confidence to charge as much as he thinks you are worth. It would help if he showed me what was wrong, wrote the name of the part on the invoice, and showed me when he had it replaced. That has never happened.)
In fact, a couple times I have had them fix something only to have it it «break» again a few days later, and when I came in to try and have it repaired he tried to charge me full price again. Hello, you didn’t even fix it properly the first time and you want to charge me again? Do you think I’ve got unlimited money or do you not even remember working on my car?
Enough is enough, avoid this place or you might harbor resentment. It was an alright place once, but it is so no more. Besides, there is a good chance he will be so busy he won’t want to work on your car on that day, and would ask you to come back anyway.
I’ll give 2 stars because this place exists if there’s an emergency and 1 star would be if the «fix» didn’t even work for a few days. Expect to be ripped off if you go though, especially if the engine is involved. The other review about getting ripped off for a coolant pump was also similar to what happened with one of my a/​c repairs.

This is literally the only place that I’ll bring my car after dealing with other mechanics that wanted to charge me to replace things that didn’t even need to be replaced. Been coming here for 10 years now and the service is always quick and prices are very reasonable.

The owner might not talk much but this place is the most honest place I’ve been too. The work is quality and the price is hard to beat.

I came to King’s based on a referral from my bestie Linda after a hit and run left my passenger side messed up, with the door making a horrendous sound every time I opened it. I seriously thought my car door was going to just snap off!
I was very wary of having to deal with anything car related as another auto shop had tried to cheat and gyp me out of a crazy amount of money for parts/​services I didn’t need. (Brakes & struts in addition to new tires). Buuuut that’s another story. So my faith in auto shops especially mom & pop ones were just gone. Thankfully, my BFF who doesn’t put up with bullshit steered me the right way and led me here.
Being the type of girl that pretty much has her dad take care of everything for her, I was a bit stressed about the whole situation. However, David was so helpful and patient with me. He handled most of the insurance issues other than me actually making the claim and bringing in the car for the estimate. It turned out I needed a panel completely replaced with a new one and the rest needed to be repaired and painted. My car was repaired and washed within a week, looking better than brand new. Seriously, I hadn’t washed my car in 2 – 3 years and King’s even repaired the scratch on my bumper left from the garage door closing against it.
And when I say they were patient with me, I mean they were super patient! I lagged on picking up my car 2 days after it was ready for pick up and I forgot to bring the money that insurance sent! I know I know, I’m so annoying!!! x|
It’s honestly so hard to find an auto shop that’s not trying to cheat and lie to you, even though a lot of them swear they’re being honest with you and put their bullshit on their kids’ life & careers. Even though I don’t live in Cerritos anymore, I’m willing to come to King’s for my other car needs!

My mom recommended this place years ago, and we have been bringing our cars here ever since. I highly recommend King’s Auto for all types of things, especially oil changes, breaks, and water pump replacement. These guys are very honest, which is why my entire family keeps coming back.
They even gave a great referral for transmission specialist!

Super nice guys, very honest and good prices. I usually work on my own cars but once in a while when I don’t have the time or tool required, I’ll take it to a local shop. I My girlfriend’s window regulator on her car went out so we stopped in randomly and was quoted a very reasonable price. They had us bring in the car the next morning so I ziptied the window closed and brought it in the next day. Within a few hours, they had it all fixed and working perfectly. A few months later the same problem occurred on a different door so we brought it in again to these guys since they did a good job. They quoted us the same price on labor (part cost was a little higher on this different door, different part) and again, did a good job. I wouldn’t hesitate in bringing in one of mine the next time something needs fixing.

He tried to rip me off just because I had a Mercedes… I brought my own oil and filter and he still wanted to charge me $ 40! Clearly not as honest as others here have said…

Don (owner) and awesome guy is SO reliable and fair. I’ve been going to him for oil changes/​repairs/​tires for the past 8+ years. He’s great! He’s by far the lowest price, and his work is so reliable. If he changes my oil, and somehow the oil light comes back on, and i visit again, he takes care of me first. he makes sure everything is fine and will even drive it around to make sure there’s nothing wrong. I’ll never go anywhere else… AND i send all my friends and family here.

I hate having to deal with anything related to my car. Oil changes, repairs, paint jobs, etc. Forget it. Me+cars=clueless. So, when I was looking for a new place to get an oil change, I turned to Unilocal.
I read nearly all of the reviews on this place and figured I’d be safe. Unilocalers have yet to fail me! I went on a Friday morning and I was met by Don, the owner. He quoted me $ 25 and about 15 – 20 mins. Someone started working on my car ASAP. I was all prepared for about an hour’s wait with breakfast from home and a book. After Don quoted me, he just kind of walked away, talking on his cell phone. He didn’t take my name or number. I kind of stood there for a minute and then just sauntered over to Artesia Park. I found a decent bench to sit on, munched on my banana chocolate chip muffin and started reading my chic lit. 10 mins. later, I see my car being pulled out of the garage. That was fast! I walk back over, pay, and leave.
As I pay, I notice the tiny waiting room for the first time. It has about 3 chairs (I’ll know to wait there next time) and a water cooler. Don is a man of few words; no friendly exchanges, he didn’t even crack a smile. Well, I’m not there to chit chat so that’s fine with me.
I hope I never have an accident *knocks on wood* but if I do and I need repairs done, I will come see Don. Thanks, fellow Unilocalers!
