The Arvada Center offers theatrical performances, galleries and educational opportunities for its patrons through a direct connection to the Arts.
We feature two theatrical performance venues. Our Main Stage seats 500 and our smaller Black Box Theater seats 220. We produce seven theatrical shows a year. The 2011 – 2012 lineup includes:
— Ragtime
— The 1940’s Radio Hour
— Chess, a musical
— Legally Blonde, The Musical
— The Road to Mecca
— The Importance of Being Earnest
— Twelfth Night, or What You Will, a Comedy
The Arvada Center has three gallery exhibit areas where we feature touring exhibits, local artists and partnership exhibits.
Our multi-disciplinary arts education programs reach all ages through classes and workshops at the Arvada Center and outreach into schools and community organizations. We offer classes in acting/performance art, ceramics, dance, humanities, movement/yoga, music, photography and visual arts.
History
Established in 1976.
We first opened on the Bicentennial Celebration day — July 4, 1976. For 35 years, we have been proudly promoting arts culture by providing our patrons a direct connection to the Arts through theatrical performances, galleries and educational opportunities.
