Arvada West Lock & Key is a small, independent business established in 2001, and based in Arvada, Colorado. I have over 20 years of experience working with locks, and have been a full-​time locksmith in Arvada for the last 15 years.

Business Owner

My name is James Starks. I’m the founder and owner of Arvada West Lock & Key in Arvada, Colorado.

I was raised in Arvada, where I lived from 1977 to 1988. During that time, we lived in a house at 59^th & Quail, and I attended Vanderhoof Elementary School. In the summer of 1988, my family moved to the small town of Keenesburg, Colorado, where I attended Weld Central Jr/​Sr High School.

In April of 1997, I returned to Arvada, where I began working at A-​One Locksmith, which was located in the Arvada Plaza shopping center at Ralston & Independence. In this busy store, I gained much more experience. In early 2001, I learned that the shop would be closing, so I began working to establish my own locksmith business.
