Outstanding customer service! Rather than charging us for coming out on a Saturday to fix our furnace they were able to troubleshoot the problem over the phone at no charge. I would highly recommend Best for Less Heating and Cooling.

Avoid this guy! I could probably live with the fact this man lied to me when he said he services Trane furnaces, or even when he tried to sell me a $ 99 thermostat for $ 350 (no wiring required to replace it), but when I told him that my furnace still won’t go past 72 degrees and I need him to come back and fix it, he just LAUGHED! He told me to call a friend of his that DOES work on Trane furnaces. I asked him what I paid him for then, he LAUGHED AGAIN! Stay away from this guy.

Excellant service! Prompt, friendly and professional. They do excellent work at reasonable prices. We wouldn’t use anyone else.

Last Saturday we had an issue with our furnace after a home inspection that was requested by potential buyers. The inspector called while we were away to tell us the furnace wasn’t working, which was extremely odd considering it worked the morning prior to his arrival.
So we got back home at 4:30pm that Saturday and verified we had no heat. We began making calls to local heating companies, worried we might be without heat that night. Upon our third call, this time to Leon and Best For Less, we were relieved to find a technician who could come that evening.
To our delight, Leon showed up in less than 30 minutes, which is exceptional, especially so on a weekend evening. He quickly determined that the inspector had shut a vacuum line in the heater door which would not allow the contact switch to initiate.
Within an hour, the furnace was up and running and Leon was on his way… for less than a couple other companies were going to charge me for a minimum diagnosis fee. After chatting with Leon we learned of his 35+ years in the HVAC industry and I believe he has a noble business and good heart.
Kudos Leon. As an owner of two businesses myself it’s hard to know who you can trust, especially with things like home repair. You are a gem and can’t thank you enough for your ethical approach and prompt service!

1 star because I can’t do zero. This company installed our tankless water heater. I asked Leon what brand and he replied a rinnai. On install day he had his crew install a noritz because of product classes and such. I did not care too much for brands but was a bit let down. We seem to keep having problems with the unit, running bath water makes the unit reset and drop to 90 then we unplug and wait. A technician has come out to service but said we need a new unit. We have called Leon and he has no idea who we are so suggests he will call us back. We will call a real company instead!

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Best For Less Heating & Cooling. They’ve installed our furnace and AC unit, and both have been working without fail for 5+ years now. Other than changing the filter, we’ve never had to pay for any service. The other day, we noticed that the blower motor was «false starting,» and I called after hours to schedule an appointment. The next morning, Leon (the owner of BfLHaC), called me back between 8 – 8:30am. He listened to my issue over the phone, and told me that it sounded like a dirty flame sensor. He said it was an easy thing to clean myself, and walked me through the simple process of opening the front and cleaning the sensor. Our furnace is now back to it’s warm, normal self, and the «service» didn’t cost a thing.
Free advice from a heating and cooling contractor… that’s not something you see every day, if ever!
Through this, Leon showed me that he’s not just after a buck, and I couldn’t be happier with his service.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! They came out to service our AC so that it can run more optimally. They charged us $ 250 to refill the coolant. The following week I told him that the AC is not working any better than before, so his only suggestion is to charge another $ 150 for a test to see what else it could be. I said no thanks. 3 weeks later, the AC goes out completely! When i called them, they finally sent a technician out a week later to take a look. He quoted us another $ 750 for parts and labor for a part that turns out to be $ 150. I called them back trying to get more info and talk to them about what they found, and I never heard back from them again. Left 3 messages for the owner and nothing. We know someone who also had a really poor experience with them also. Don’t use these guys — they do bad business! Really disappointed.
