Canine Dimensions Denver has been a massive help. I had a high drive boxer who was completely controlling my home. I could not walk her outside and she was constantly whining in the house. With the help of canine dimensions, I have gained knowledge of pack structure and how my dog sees things. The improvement has been amazing. I can now walk her with no issues, and she is much more enjoyable in the house :) thank you!!!

Canine Dimensions has been a lifesaver for me during my transition from a one dog household to a two dog household. When I contacted Canine Dimensions I was at my wits end with my new addition due to her showing aggression to my older dog. Jaci has taught me the tools I need to diffuse tense situations between my dogs in addition to teaching them some manners! Having a trainer come to me in my home was very convenient and Jaci was always on time and very pleasant to work with. There was an initial expectation set at the beginning that training a dog takes time and I needed to put in the work. I now feel more comfortable with my pups and I have seen a definite improvement in their interactions. I recommend Canine Dimensions to assist in helping with anyone’s dog training needs!

Jaci at Canine Dimensions has helped train my husband and I to be able to better understand how to train our puppy. While she is adorable and we love her, she can be a handful. Jaci helps us and reinforces the things we need to be consistent with to ensure success. Jaci is truly a gem/​dog whisper :-) — non judgmental — willing to help via phone or at our appointment — patient with both Bella and us. I felt like it is way overpriced for what you get. A lot of it is self taught with a workbook. It was difficult getting the trainer out here because it is a distance, but she told me it was within their radius for business. She also was slightly rude. We had to pay upfront for her to even come out-​the whole $ 1000. Yes, 1000. Wasted money. We were having difficulty assimilating a dog we had rescued from the shelter. We were desperate and I think that was taken into consideration. Definitely not a positive experience. You get 3 at home appointments. I forfeited the last appointment because I didn’t feel it was helping us. Our trainer was located in Atlanta, Ga. There are trainers throughout the U.S. who are with the parent company Canine Dimensions in home dog raining as the link and website will inform you. I spoke with the owner who gave me the name of another trainer, but offered me no other options. His name is Phil Guida and owns Canine Dimensions. (which has trainers in other states-​just to be clear)

We rescued Brutus from Boulder Humane in February. My wife and I both had dogs growing up but this was our first dog together. We immediately fell in love with him — 80 pounds of exuberant energy — but we overlooked his obvious nervousness around other dogs — which the shelter told us would need to be worked on. It soon became evident that we needed help so we Googled «dog trainers» and picked the one first available. I won’t mention her name here (she is a «clicker trainer») and after several lessons Brutus still had not improved. In fact, all the «click and treat» seemed to be making his behavior worse. He was still lunging and barking whenever he saw another dog, it was impossible for us to enjoy our walk, in fact we started walking him at 6 a.m. so as not to come in contact with anyone on our walk. So on the advice of our vet, we contacted Canine Dimensions. (As others have said here — they are NOT the cheapest. But I have to say it was worth every penny. I’d rather pay $ 600 for something that WORKS then waste time and money on cheap lessons that do not work.) Brendan is a lifesaver!!! He has an almost magical way with dogs (Brutus loves Brendan!) and he is a good teacher for us humans as well. Brendan soon had Brutus walking perfectly — no more lunging or barking at other dogs. He taught us exactly how to send the right message (i.e. leadership) to Brutus and how to gain his love and respect without yelling at him or bribing him. For us, it only took about 2 weeks to see a 100% improvement in Brutus… but of course, our dog is the smartest dog in the world :)

I would urge anyone that is considering Canine Dimensions to think twice! I completely agree with what Kd L. has written and the two reviews that are *not recommended* I could write page after page about our bad experiences with Audi and Brandon… I will have to continue this review at a later time when I can fully explain! Don’t get taken by the high pressure sales pitch Audi will try to give you!

Our trainer is Jaci. She is truly the dog whisperer. We love how in control and structured our training sessions are with her. We always make progress with our puppy in our sessions. Jaci can identify mistakes we are making as pack leaders, and help us remedy and develop proper control in a very clear and humorous way. The entire organization is first class and we recommend them to every dog owner we meet!

I learned more about dog training in 3 days with Brendan, than in the 40+ years that I’ve owned dogs. While I consider becoming part of the Canine Dimensions organization, I shadowed Brendan for 3 days, observing a variety of canine behavioral issues — including aggression and basic obedience for puppies. It was amazing to see the program in action — how quickly the dogs responded; the relationship between trainer, dog and owner; and how appreciative each dog owner was at the end of our session. I was shocked to see such a difference in an hour or two! This experience gave me a whole new perspective on the relationships that are possible between dogs and their owners.

I was extremely surprised and frustrated when our rescue dog suddenly started to become aggressive with other dogs. I looked online and Canine Dimensions was one of the first places that popped up regarding training aggressive dogs. I called Canine Dimensions and right away, Audi assured me that the trainer would tell me if my dog was not trainable. On the contrary, Brendan came over and explained to us that our dog did not see my husband and I as dominant and he thought he owned us and the house. We were assured that with each training session, we would eventually be able to see how our dog would react with other dogs that Brendan would bring or that we would go to. The lessons were simple, teach the dog to sit, stay, and lay down by giving treats, taking them away, etc… for three consecutive sessions. On the fourth, I finally broached the subject of adding a dog into the mix like we had discussed when we first signed up. I was then told that our dog would most likely never be able to be around other dogs. However, I could feel free to contact a friend who had a dog and Brendan would come out and see how they would do together. This completely conflicted with what we were told in the beginning, but I figured I would bring it up in the next session. That was the last thing I was told. I wasn’t told to contact the office to set up another session with Brendan nor was I given a phone call by Audi to set up another appointment. I thought we paid for six months of training, or at least the astronomical price would imply that. Four training sessions in and being no closer to potentially having other dogs around, I decided to seek another trainer and just eat the money I wasted. Very disappointing experience especially since we paid so much for it.
On the bright side, and about $ 900 cheaper, we found a trainer at the humane society that immediately brought dogs in with our dog and showed us how to discipline and train him and to how to get him to listen to «no.» He’s at day care playing with other dogs right now… so much for never having him around other dogs again!

We brought our then 8 week old Havanese puppy home with us at the end of August 2013. My husband and I both grew up with dogs and thought that we would have no problem adjusting to our new family member. Boy, were we wrong! While our dog had a sweet personality, he was also high energy and very confident. We had no idea what to do with him or how to begin teaching him to be the adult dog that we wanted him to be. We started and ended every day exhausted and overwhelmed.
We were very fortunate to find a Canine Dimensions brochure at our vet’s office. From my first call with Audi, I felt like I was talking to someone that understood our frustration and could help us get our situation under control. We decided to sign up for the year long Puppy GoodStart program to help get us and our puppy on the right track.
We felt immediately comfortable with our trainer Jaci during her first visit to our home and our dog fell in love with her. In fact, he seemed like he was ready to go home with her when she left! She answered all of our questions and taught us how to start training our puppy. She has visited us two additional times since that first trip and we are incredibly grateful for everything that she continues to teach us. We have also been encouraged to participate in the monthly Puppy Swim and Social events which have been a great opportunity for our dog to socialize with other puppies and spend some time in the pool. Our training sessions have taken us from bewildered puppy parents to confident pack leaders.
While our dog is still very much a puppy, we can tell that he is on track to become a wonderful adult dog thanks to the guidance we have receive from Canine Dimensions. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

We were at our wits end 7 ½ months ago. Our 16 month loving but huge rescued boy, named Barley, was unruly and we had no desire to take him on the walks or hikes that we imagined when we adopted him. We had been in an obedience class with a well-​respected trainer that’s been in the area for years, but it wasn’t a good fit and the training didn’t stick. My wife called Audi and they bonded immediately. From the first session with Brendan, it was like night and day. Barley went from a domineering pup showing bad behavior, to a confused dog trying to figure out what had happened to the status quo, to a willing participant in training. Any good obedience training is much more about changing the human’s behavior and understanding how dogs think, which will dramatically change a dog’s actions that innately wants to please. Brendan gave us very concrete steps to take before our next session and a guidebook to start reading while we were incorporating the plan. By the second session, Barley was walking on the lead like we always wanted. They invited us to Puppy Swim Class at K-​9 Body Shop (Tammy, the owner, is wonderful) and Barley was on the fast track to obedience recovery. After 6 lessons, we’ve finished our Basic Training and we’re teaching Barley more and more. I can’t say enough about Brendan and Audi. They are compassionate, thorough and beyond helpful. It’s much more than a professional relationship and I honored to call them friends. I have and would recommend them to ANYONE interested in obedience training. We recently lost our 11 year old Lab to a brain tumor and Canine Dimensions will be the first call we make when the timing is right to get a puppy.
