I recently had my 2004 F250 powerstoke blow an egr valve, egr cooler & oil cooler. After having the same repair completed at a local ford stealership 4 years ago, I was not that trusting in Ford!
After a phone call with Chris, I knew I found my shop. I had the needed Repairs and maintenance completed with out a hitch. Thanks you Chris and Louden, for operating an honest, no bs shop!

My son blew up his Honda Civic engine while heading home to San Diego on break. As a father hundreds of miles away and so close to Christmas, I was in a bind as to what I should do. After searching through Unilocal,I found good comments about Factory Trained Auto Repair.
Louden was great! He offered some good suggestions, and had a very good general attitude about doing every possible option to get the car back on the road. He even offered to come in when the shop was closed to accomodate my son. After some discussion, he ordered a Honda certified engine, and, although it took awhile in transit, Louden did everything possible to get the job done — also ensuring that it was done professionally.
I would highly recommend Louden and FTAR. Having an engine installed in a vehicle is never a cheap proposition, but aside from that, I felt comfortable in trusting him to do the work. If you want a «can do» attitude, and the professionalism to follow it up, then this is the establishment for you.

Went in with squeaky brakes was not sure if we needed to replace the brake pads. Brakes are always a sketchy situation with most auto repair shops but not these guys! They were great! They checked them out, cleaned them up and reported that they would still be good for at least another 10k miles. They did not charge me anything, they just asked I keep them in mind when we do need to replace the brake pads. Great service and honesty!

Ok? For ya, when was the last time you took your car in for a repair, got a quote, went to pick it up and the service guy says it took less time than expected so they LOWERED the bill. I bet never, but it just happened to me here!!!

Quiet simply the best diesel repair shop I have used! My F-​450 needed major work on the turbocharger. The team there diagnosed the problem and had it repaired in a just a few days. I checked with dealers in the area and the price quoted me was higher than here! Not only only did they repIr my truck but my mileage improved by 20%.

Quality establishment with quick, reasonable and very friendly service. I was in from out of town for a quick oil change before a long drive but wished that I had a place like this back home!

Love this place! Awesome Honest and Efficient. Took my 2010 TDI in for an oil change and walked to the gym worked out and then came and picked up my car! It was awesome and affordable!
Also my husband brought in his Dodge truck (1999) and they totally helped out, gave us a prioritized list of what needed to be fixed. It was a great experience all around! Thanks Chris for all your help, please don’t move far from us!!!

Haven’t taken a vehicle in yet… but had to write a review after speaking with Chris on the phone this morning. This guy knows his stuff, is polite, respectful, really listens to you and gives the impression he cares about cars and giving you the best advice he can. I’ll do another update after my repairs, but if you’re thinking about calling and booking an appointment I can definitely say that he put a lot of my stresses at ease with a few minute call. Nice to connect with someone you’re on the same page with about something as near and dear as your vehicle. Kudos!

When my car craps out, my world seizes up.
Luckily I got a bead on FTAR when a friend’s car crapped out. Had to get it towed there so my sphincter was already on a Roman holiday and I was prepared to go car shopping.
These guys have factory trained Ford expertise but like John S. said, they know their German cars also. They walked me thru what needed to be done and it didn’t sound like Farsi to me so I told them to go ahead.
Yah, it wasn’t cheap but I didn’t feel gouged either. Let’s just say that they made it as pleasant as a colonoscopy. You don’t see (your car) for a while, and when the fog clears, you get a bill, pay it and go home.
I did have to take it back in for a quick fix — the heater stopped working — but they had it in and out in nano time, no charge, explained why the heater stopped working, again in plain talk.
I trust them. How often can you say that about auto repair. Good guys.

I was desperate to find a good honest mechanic to fix my broken window in my 2000 Lincoln. I never use Unilocal but I thought… why not try it today! I called and Shawn answered the phone. I have never laughed so hard while speaking to a mechanic. Seriously… I had just started a new job in Real Estate and was tight on money and super stressed and somehow Shawn made my day better! Of course the day I was scheduled to go in to the shop another window broke… really?!? So Shawn was able to fix one window, prop the other one closed and set up a time the following week for the second window. They charge a fair rate and do an awesome job at the same time! Finally… a shop in Colorado that I can trust. I highly recommend Factory Trained Auto Repair to everyone in Denver. Awesome shop! Chris fixed my super duty when the dealership couldn’t figure it out! It now runs better than it has in years. Honest mechanics are hard to find I’m glad I finally found one!

I don’t usually write reviews but it’s rare to find people who are reasonable in prices, do quality work, and treat you like you’re their most important customer. Afterall, garages are a dime a dozen in this area, I can count 5 other places within the mile radius.
I went to these guys for brakes service and the Jeep dealership quoted me at $ 400 for my front Grand Cherokee. The guys did it for $ 200 and it was done in the same day. Everything works as expected.
I thought my AC had issues and needed a recharge, they charged it but by the time I got the car it was like before, not cold, turns out my AC compressor was broken, guys didn’t charge me for the AC work. Real standup move on their part.
Very helpful, friendly, and most importantly professional. I would recommend this garage to all my friends and coworker if they need any work done on their cars.

I have been looking for a good shop, and based on the reviews here I took a chance with FTAR. I was not let down. Chris was great to work with and I knew that I was getting great service from the get go. They gave me advice on what repairs would be needed next with a «It’ll need replacement soon, but if it were my truck Id wait and check on it at the next oil change» kind of attitude. Which is exactly what I want as opposed to trying to upsell you on every little problem they find.
I would highly recommend them, they’ve earned my business.

Came to Denver from Texas for a fiddle contest & ended up getting stuck in the hotel parking lot in single digit weather. My 7.3 l 2000 F350 was not liking the cold weather. In the process of trying to get it started (after leaving it plugged in all night) the batteries wore down. Since it was the weekend & there was fresh snow all around (& it continued to snow until early in the week), I couldn’t find any qualified diesel mechanics to work on my truck. I knew it was the glow plugs, so I started looking online for help. Saw 100% reviews for Factory Trained Auto Repair & I was hooked. Called, left message, said they’d be in @ 7:00 AM Monday morning. One of the 1^st calls I made on Monday was to FTAR – a few minutes before 7 AM, Chris answered the phone. I explained my situation & he had a tow truck out to me within the hour (even though there were multiple accidents b/​c of the snow & it being Monday AM traffic). By 10:00 he’d diagnosed the problem (relay switch to the glow plugs) & called me with the estimate. After sending me on my way to ski via a rental car, he called again later to let me know that my seals on my 4 wheel drive needed repacking & some needed to be replaced. Being that I was in snow, from Texas, and needed to drive back home, I gave him the go-​ahead to fix the seals. Not only was he efficient, but also fair. Although the repair was expensive (considering I hadn’t intended to repair while on vacation), his prices were extremely fair & reasonable and his turn around time was amazing – I was in & out in one day. Chris even cleaned up all of the dirty snow & ice from my old truck!
If I lived in Colorado, he’d be the person I’d always send my truck to!

I have been taking my cars to a tech named Chris for several years while he worked at Brighton Ford. He has always been honest with his advice and his repairs.
He has since started his own shop and I will be sure to take all my vehicles to him. He specializes in Fords, but has no difficulty keeping my mazdaratti running over the years.
