Legacy Plumbing & Renovating

We woke up to a leaky faucet in the basement on a Saturday morning and I called around to a few places I found on Unilocal with good ratings. On Monday, Legacy called me back (one of the first to call me back-​only a couple actually called back). They said they would work me in that morning-​awesome! Harry arrived on time, was very nice, friendly, didn’t seem to mind our puppy, and he was very knowledgeable, professional and even happened to have the items and faucet he needed for our repair –outside in his truck (it’s an older house, so kind of an old type of faucet/​fixture so we didn’t expect him to have it). He was here an hour or so and while it was more money than we wanted to spend, we felt the pricing Harry offered was fair and we trusted he knew exactly what he was doing and would definitely use them again, although we hope we don’t have to!

I got some insanely expensive hourly rates from big plumbing companies before finding Harry. Including one company that charges $ 480/​hour for labor — crazy! And none of them would give me an estimate for a very straightforward job. When I called Legacy, Harry answered the phone and gave me his hourly rate and an estimate — YES. He arrived right on time, was friendly, courteous and professional — and did a super job replacing a toilet. I would not even think of calling anyone else.

We called Harry and he came out the next morning. Within 2 hours he found the source of our leak and fixed it!!! Very friendly guy, he is the third generation of master plumbers for this company (grandfather, father and him).
Cheaper labor than the other bigger companies (done! plumbing) that came out the day before and quoted us $ 199 /​hr for labor and ~$ 500 for parts and labor to fix said leak — I will add Done! did not even attempt to look for the leak they just looked at the spot we showed them and quoted us a price from a «price book»).
He fixed our leak within 2 hours and the charges were UNDER $ 200!!! And that included labor. He saved us a ton of money and was truly a professional.
I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is going to be the plumber we call from now on if we need plumbing work.
