Olde Town 14 Theatres

Well Olde Town… I have loved you since my grandpa took me here when I was a young child, but my last two times here has really just done it for me. Usually I always come to this theater for the friendly staff and Home feeling of being in good Olde Town arvada. I came to see Black Mass with my fiancé we are both in our 20’s and while purchasing the tickets the new guy was absolutely rude from the time we walked in. He was on his phone the whole time and smelled of B.O. when he asked to see our drivers license my fiancé pulled out his and then asked for mine I told him that I didn’t not have my wallet on me which was true. He said he couldn’t sell us the tickets which I can somewhat understand but by no means do we look younger then 17. So I had to rush to my home to grab my license and by this point I’m so agitated l, when we went to the kiosk to purchase are tickets there was another guy who didn’t when check our license… REALLY. Then we went to purchase food and drink which of course like always the popcorn tastes like it had been sitting there for there whole service from open to close. Then the guy who we first delt with went and whispered into the old lady Manger well into her 60’s about us and we’re pointing at us as well. I felt as if I was doing something wrong… this made me feel so uncomfortable. When the old lady took our tickets she then asked for our drivers license again. At this point my fiancé is beyond upset, my fiancé asked why she needed to see our license since they check up front… she never answered, but after a minute of trying to read our license she said I can come and check these anytime I want. This was so inappropriate and for me who spends a lot of money at this poor and frail theater every year I am just baffled at the way I got treated. I can safely say I will never be back and I suggest for other to spend money at the AMC where the popcorn is fresh and the theater isn’t falling apart also so you don’t have to be interrogated to see a movie

The seats are dirty, broken and torn. Some of the seats won’t recline or return to the upright position. Half of the bathroom sink fixtures (men’s) don’t work are are loose. Landmark is not taking care of this theater. Getting run down, very quickly. Most of the staff is friendly, except the one that’s the ticket taker. Not a person who enjoys her job and clearly shows it to customers. We’ve been there several times, but I think it is time to go to AMC or Regal — much better maintained and repaired. Sorry to see this. Would love to have a properly maintained theater in Olde Town Arvada.

Love the location, but it starting to look worn and run down a bit… Movie was great!

Not a big fan of this place the floors were sticky and the overall atmosphere was typical big box theaters… probably won’t go back

Movie theater was so cold that people were getting blankets from their cars. It’s hardly enjoyable to watch a movie as a Popsicle.

It is a decent movie theater with pleasant employees who work hard to keep the movie theater running. The facility itself is somewhat dated, seats are older and the sound system is not the latest and greatest around. While the movie ticket prices are typical of most movie theaters, the prices for food and drinks are on the very high end. $ 9 for popcorn, $ 7 for a soda and $ 5 for a box of candy? Granted this is how movie theaters make their money but this is a little ridiculous for me.
TIP: Get some dinner before you go so you aren’t tempted to spend an arm and a leg on junk food.

Okay… So after a fun filled evening of trying to find a decent place to eat… We came to this Landmark for a movie in olde town Arvada.
Upon walking to the bathroom… before sitting down to see Jupiter ascending… i slipped on the wet tiles because its been snowpocalypse the past week and not one employee asked if i was alright… So that bummed me out…
Moving on the the movie…
The start time was 7:35pm…At about 8:00pm the movie still was not started. So i walk to the front and ask the lady why the movie wasn’t started… She seemed super annoyed that i had the nerve to question her– and rudely asks if i «want a refund»…Even more bummed at this point… :(
Finally past 8 the movie starts…
So as we walk out the manager hands us 2 movie vouchers and 2 small popcorns as a «sorry we messed up» …which is very nice… And we will give Landmark another shot because i grew up in this neighborhood and remember when this place opened… ive been coming here since a child…
i will say that the customer service needs a tune up–
A smile from the counter girl wouldn’t hurt either…
But sometimes people have bad days… i get it…

A typical movie theatre with none of the nicer touches that the Landmark theaters typically have — such as VIP seating options or better snacks and cleaner restrooms. It does have stadium seating and 14 movies showing more mainstream movies though, so that’s a benefit, and it still manages to have a friendlier employee count overall. All and all, it’s still a step above, though I’m still partial to someone of the other Landmarks!

My boyfriend took me here to see dumb and dumber too, and I’ve never been to this theater before. Super crowded because it was opening weekend and it must have been sold out or next to sold out because seats filled quickly. The sound isn’t too bad and the seats are old style bucket seats. they don’t rock or recline much. I am however, blown away with how much the snacks are here. Seriously? $ 9 for a bucket of high cholesterol buttered popcorn. $ 5 for a small box of candy? I know i haven’t been to the movies in a while but I don’t understand the incredibly jacked up prices. I do like the layout of the theater and of course that it’s close to me. I will continue to come here and catch a movie. every so often.

Decent local theater. Rarely packed movies, easy to get to location. Seats are a bit run down but still pretty comfortable. Tix run 9 – 11 depending on discounts or time of day. Still cheaper than AMC

As a movie goer you expect certain basic things from a theatre, like playing the movie in the correct theatre they have told you to go to at the correct showing time they have provided. Okay so everybody makes mistakes, I get that. But there was this guy, I was told was the manager, yelling at the customers who were telling him the movie was not playing where it was supposed to. «if your ticket says theatre six, then you need to be in theatre six!» was his response, in a stern aggressive voice as if we, the customers, had made the error. Movie was supposed to start at 10, in 6, and did not. At 10:15 we can hear the music in the theatre next to us starting to play, guess what, it was our movie that we were told to wait in 6 for. We all decided to get up and move to the next theatre, 5, with no assistance from any employee telling us to do so. Now by us I don’t mean a couple of people, I mean a couple dozen of us were mislead and treated poorly by this «manager». At one point he stormed off across the lobby and concession area muttering how he was «sick of theatre six.» This theatre is closest to my house, by less than a mile, but in the future I will drive elsewhere to avoid such rude behavior and lack of respect. This situation should have been handled so much better by the «manager» but was not. I could also tell how uncomfortable his behavior was making his employees, who were all very nice people by the way and incredibly polite despite their leader falling apart under a little bit of pressure. He should not be in charge, I would go as far to say he should not be employed. He does not reflect the type of person you want to handle your business.

I am a big fan of this theater based mostly on their close proximity to me, but also because the staff is super nice, there is never a line to get in, and there are generally plenty of seats. The movie selection tends to be up my alley, a decent selection of art house flicks but certainly some blockbusters as well. No adult beverages sold here, but a great all around theater.

Older theatre, can definitely use a remodel in the theaters. Seats are old style theatre seats in a stadium setup. Comfortable but some are broken and many are dirty. Not many concession choices, just the typical. For the price of a movie at this theatre I will be going elsewhere in the future!

This theater gets an A-​OK from me. It’s not only one of the closest to my house, but it’s also kind of tucked out of the way and never all that busy. Even on the days the biggest blockbusters come out, you’re sure to get in without too long of a wait and still grab a decent seat.
The staff is friendly and the theater is pretty clean with the exception of some of the seats — some have seen better days and are kind of gross (heavily stained). With that said, I’ve always had a good experience here and there’s really not much more you could ask for in a movie theater. Don’t forget the popcorn and Milkduds!

Been going here for quite some time. I’m sure it had it’s hay-​day some time ago, but that sure isn’t the case nowadays.
It is conveniently located to work and where I used to attend college, but it hasn’t always been the best experience. It has gotten a recent (few years ago or so) facelift to help perk it up, but it is still a decent location for me though I tend to go elsewhere most of the time.

Nothing special about it. It is your basic theater with basic offerings. I’m not sure how it occurred, either Google tricked me, or I misreadh, but I only came to this theater with the assumption that they had a full service offering (food and drinks).
We arrived at the nick of time for the movie to start and to our disappointment that it was not the kind of theater we expected.

If you didn’t see the outside of this theater, you’d think it was the Elvis discount theater up the street. I give them the benefit of the doubt because they’re Landmark, and because we were given Landmark passes from the Esquire manager, and used them here. I would not be delighted if I had paid the $ 9 – 10 price to get in.
However, besides the kind of gross seats, nothing is really wrong. The floor wasn’t sticky, the seat springs and cushions were fine, just dirty. They only showed 4 previews, which was the perfect amount, and they kept the lights on until the movie started; I like this because if the lights are all the way off you spend the whole time assuming you need to pay attention because the movie’s gonna start.
We didn’t really have to wait in any lines and the staff was all friendly and attentive. On a Friday night it was normally busy but they weren’t overwhelmed. If I have a pass, I’ll definitely come here. If I have to pay $ 9, I’ll probably go to the other theaters in the area, because they are newer and generally a bit nicer, but I don’t think they’re selling an inferior product here by any means.

Cute theatre! Had a little of an old time feel to it. Seats were average, but just fine.
Loved the Eco-​friendly popcorn bags! And when my friend could not carry all the goodies back to our seats, instead of a tray, one of the employees walked back with her… super nice.
I just read in other reviews that they offer $ 5 movies during the week (nice!). That will definitely be worth going back for. It was a good night at the movies.

I dig this place.
I don’t go out to the movies often. It just seems like such an incredible hassle between parking and having to get tickets online or risk it being sold out when you get there.
But, I did drop in to this place for a free movie preview of J.Edgar. It was really an «event» here. I expected to be able to show up early and swap my online print out for an actual ticket, then go have dinner in Olde Town. Nope, here for a free preview, you must stand in line. That was disappointing. But, they had this huge line all the way around the lobby, that was actually pretty fun and built the anticipation.
The service here is great. At a lot of these preview things, they treat you like a moocher. Not here. The lady taking tickets was super nice and answered all my weird questions about how the event worked. They could have used a bit more organization seating people (i.e. lead the first person in line to the front left seat and make the next person sit next to them, rather than hollering «who has an empty seat next to them» for 10min) but it was still fairly efficient.
I love that there is plenty of free parking here and it is so close to the Olde Town restaurants. This is just a good spot to watch a flick and I will be back!

This place used to be owned by Kerstotes (who seem to be diving quick, as their Cherry Creek theater got bought out by AMC)
It was a few months ago bought out by Landmark, a chain that’s normally known for independent cinema but always for better experiences.
I’d hoped that the change would include Landmark’s popcorn, which is miles and miles and miles higher in quality than anywhere else. Seems it did follow the buy out, score!
Theaters are nice-​clean, comfy seats, good picture and sound.
Bathrooms are only in the lobby, not hallways, so if you gotta hit the head in the middle, you’d better sprint.
Overall though, nice theater.
