Racquetball… getting hit with a blue spongey ball traveling at 90mph multiple times leaves you feeling like the opening lyrics to Bruce Springsteen’s «Streets of Philadelphia:»
«I was bruised and battered, I couldn’t tell what I felt. I was unrecognizable to myself.»
I love to play, I just suck at getting out of the way.
This place also has cardio (stationary bikes, a rowing machine, treadmills) equipment, and weight machines.
They say they have free weights (but there’s a charge to use them).
$ 10 bucks to reserve a court (call two days in advance) and $ 3.75 to workout for residents.

I used to go to the Apex center to workout but it was crowded and that giant monstrosity didn’t have a sauna?
So I tried out this place. It is quiet, mostly frequented by older people and has a great weight room, plenty of cardio machines and racquetball courts. It has much of the same equipment as the Apex Center. Plus it has a dry sauna!
