At the Gentle Groomer, our environment consists of a calm, quiet, environment, No tranquilizers, Special needs pets, welcome!

We offer grooming rehabilitation, for those pets who may have had a bad experience elsewhere.

At The Gentle Groomer we pride ourselves on treating each pet we groom as an individual, with unique likes and dislikes. We strive to make the grooming experience as low stress as possible. We assess the temperament of each pet and adjust our approach accordingly. In most cases we are able to avoid the use of restraints entirely. Our handling of each pet emphasizes gentleness. We only utilize restraining measures if the pet’s temperament and behavior indicates that this is necessary for the safety of the pet or groomer.

We only accept cash or check. No credit cards.

Established in 1997.

This was a home based salon until January 1 2014

we are now at a larger facility on kipling and 80th Ave with a new name.

I began grooming in1998. Lia trained me and mentored me through the certification process. I am now a nationally certified master groomer through National Dog Groomer Association of America. My

personal speciality is working with shy, timid, and geriatric pets.

I had or rather Bogie had a horrible experience with a groomer here in Denver. I was very worried if I would ever be able to take him to a groomer again! I found The Gentle Groomer Too here on Unilocal.
Brenda is the kindest groomer to take care of you dog. I know her staff is just as good because I watched them as Bogie was getting groomed. She addressed all my fears and made sure that Bogie didn’t become distraught. Her kind manner kept him relaxed and he did so well! She and her staff are very kind and courteous!
If your dog hates the groomer, then there is a reason! I have found us a home at The Gentle Groomer Too! Thank you Brenda! You made my life much easier now with Bogie!

Leah is amazing and always did a GREAT job on my two girls! They have a wealth of knowledge in working with difficult temperament type dogs and helped me with better understand both of my dogs. Be ready to have open ears and know that you don’t know everything because like it or not– they will give you info about your dog or breed and if you accept it– you will be better off for I. Your other choice is to be offended. Don’t be stupid. Accept advice and accept these amazingly talented too-​notch pros to take care of your pups. I’m now in another state but I certainly miss the work these gals did. Nothing like it in Denver — especially for such a fair price!!!

Brought in my rescue cocker spaniel, they took off all his matts, cliped his toenails and he looked like a new dog. He and I were so happy. He was amiss when when came in so long and matted. They took their time and were very gental and helped he feel so much better. Thank you so much!!!

Unfortunately, we had to stop going here. The owner is lovely, and the groomer does an amazing job. But, the groomer is SO very rude! We got tired of the bad attitude every time we went in. She made comments about the snarls in our pups coats, and accused of «hacking away» at the ear of my Cavalier. She didn’t know he’d just had a painful mass removed from his ear, and the area had to be shaved before the procedure. Had she bothered to ask instead of going straight to sassy, we’d have explained. But she didn’t. She was just plain rude. Many times over. So, we stopped going. It’s a shame, but there are plenty of good groomers out there. No need to put up with the nonsense.

I brought my dog Max, a miniature poodle, to The Gentle Groomer too this past Saturday. Lia and Brenda took a great amount of time to find out my issues encountered with groomers in the past and make it clear exactly how they were going to groom Max.
Max’s groom was perfect, and I am very, very impressed with their customer service and quality of groom. If you have a dog that’s difficult to properly groom, they are the BEST!
I VERY highly recommend them!

I took my Himalayan cat to Lia for the first time yesterday and all I can say is wow! I learned so much. Lia spent so much time teaching my boyfriend and I how to care for her coat (we rescued her some time ago but have never owned a himy before and had no clue). She also fixed her coat up. All the ladies are so nice there and are so knowledgeable. Because we are so new to the hemy world, I will be back with my cat every 6 to 8 weeks to have Lia comb her out. They also are very reasonably priced. I would and am going to recommend them to anyone who has a pet.

I really love the groom that our Akita has gotten from The Gentle Groomers. My only complaint is that the place is a bit small and they can take a little longer then some. They groom out of an attachment to her house, making it nice and personable, but also crammed. I’ve had my pup there for several hours while they work through other dogs first. Last time I dropped her off on a Saturday at 9 to not get called until almost 3. That’s a long and stressful day for a dog in a crate! Otherwise, I’m still a fan because of the good grooming and prices… Call well in advance because I think it’s just the two and they book up fast!

I have taken my sheltie to a couple of different groomers, and have never had results like I got at The Gentle Groomer.
I tried this place out based on the Unilocal reviews. I paid a little extra for a «specialty» appointment, where I could stay and watch my little guy being groomed (he is shy and can be nervous with strangers). I stood across the room where I could watch, but not distract him from the groomer.
The gal grooming him did FANTASTIC! She bathed, dried, brushed, and groomed my lil guy in 90 minutes with amazing results. They got his entire undercoat out and he was trimmed impeccably. They even were able to get all of the little knots and mats out from his collar area and ears. My dog was relaxed and not anxious at all during the entire process.
Overall, they are reasonably priced for the great service they provide. I will definitely be taking my sheltie back!

Best grooming in Denver!
Lia and Brenda are excellent groomers, but, more importantly they genuinely care about the dogs they service and have an excellent knowledge of working with dogs. They will treat your animal with care and respect and will do a fantastic job. I highly recommend them.

If you want to give your pet a great grooming and don’t care how you are treated, this is the place! They have a lot of experience and do a great job. However, the owner treats everyone like they are a moron and is very condescending. If you can get past that and just want to give your dog a great cut, this is it – however, I have to think that there has to be a groomer in the area that is capable of both?

I used Gentle Groomers for the first time last weekend and I will DEFINITELY go back.
I previously used Pet Empawrium and was less than impressed with them.
I highly recommend Gentle Groomers!
