History

Established in 2007.

The glo was developed using the model that two brothers from Detroit Michigan, Dale and Larry Huggins, implemented in 1970 to streamline the traditional full service car wash process which they used for the previous two decades. With the progressing technologies and debuting of improved automated equipment Dale and Larry witnessed an opportunity to change the way they washed cars. With this was the creation of Gas’n’Glo– the first glo car wash which utilized the latest in technology, engineering and chemistry.

I have been working at and managing car washes since 1996. After moving to Colorado from Detroit in 1999 to pursue my passion of skiing and the outdoors, I soon found myself back into the car wash industry.

With the growing new trend in «Express» car washing, I worked for a group of investors building and managing a small chain of exterior car washes here in the Denver area before developing the glo car wash. I spend much of my time visiting other washes in the country and I have traveled the world numerous times to research new ideas and methods in car care technology. Here at the glo we strive to be the most technologically advanced car wash to deliver an exceptionally clean, dry vehicle safely at a simple low price.
