This is the new Sports Bar and Grill, for the 2010. it is completly renovated. It’s not the Pub place anymore. History

Established in 2004.

Broadlands, is a newly built community located in Ashbrn, Virginia area. It’s a great community to live and play in, and to raise a family. Broadland Sports Bar & Grill, started as a small Pub, in the neighborhood, with the name of Broadlands Pub & Grill. Overtime the demands started to increase with the neighbors visits and their requests to have a sports bar place in the neighborhood, so the new management decided to expand the place to more than 3700 sqft, and creat a more sports bar oriented place, which has received the approval of the neighbors. Completly new place come and check t out. You will love it.

From the outside, it kind of looks like a hole-​in-​the-​wall, but once you get inside it’s fantastic. Usually very clean and very open. The food is great, especially for bar food. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, and way nicer than I expected from a sports bar. Plus, they have great activities on different nights of the week, like karaōke (my personal favorite), live bands, and trivia. And of course, great drinks! Plenty of televisions for sports watchers, if you are into that.

As this is the closest bar to my house, I was curious as to what it would be like to go. The orange juice I ordered was pretty bland and a small portion. I had the veggie quesadilla for my entrée, which tasted ok but was almost exclusive beans and corn. It was so floppy as a result that I couldn’t even eat it with my hands; I had to ask for a fork and knife. The service as quick and friendly, however. Still, I imagine there are much better bars fairly close (although I am decidedly inexperienced in this area).

Every time I’ve ever come there I’ve had terrible service. I also had always gotten my food messed up or it didn’t taste right. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I find it pretty gross.

For bar food, they really have some tasty options. I would say their burrito and wraps are some of the best.

This bar is decent, has a good menu for late night snacks, and has karaōke on friday nights. I go about once a month on fridays to watch friends sing which is always a good time. They always serve good drinks and they have good bacon cheese fries.

The bartender we had (never got his name but he’s a bigger bald guy) was incredibly rude. I was visiting from out of state and asked what beers they had on tap since I didn’t recognize some of them. His response…“Look for yourself.” I finally decided on a raspberry vodka press (bartenders should know what this is) and he says in a snarky tone «What’s that?». The drink ended up tasting fine but then my brother asked how the fried broccoli was and he said «Um, it’s broccoli that’s fried.» Again, in a snarky tone. He just had zero customer service and made us feel like we were asking stupid questions. Not sure if this is just an east coast attitude that I’m not used to or what but I was very unimpressed.

Came here with 8 of my friends on a Sunday…
POSITIVES:
1. This place has lots of TVs so you can catch every game.
2. Good service.
3. Great selection of local and international beers.
NEGATIVES:
1. Food. We got the fried pickles, chips and queso, boneless wings, bone-​in wings, wraps and sliders. Everything tasted average, nothing extraordinary. Must improve.
2. This is a Steelers Bar, so if they are playing you can only hear that game, you can watch the others but the TVs are muted.
The GM is new and is trying to improve this place. I am hopeful, will be back.

Honesty 1 star is too much for this place… the owner is rude and make sure you ALWAYS double check your bill, it is know that it may be wrong or you may be double charged. Food wise, it’s not good… and the several times I’ve been there it, there has been no more then 5 – 6 other people. I feel bad for the employee’s, they have told my husband and I horror stories about the owner and how they are treated.
It’s a shame because I think it could be a really good bar it’s has a nice lay out and if the owner was not so worried about the TV’s burning out it could be a great sports bar.
From what I’ve seen it appears to be younger early 20’s type that do go there. I recommend a «no go» until new owner can take over and turn it around. Also notice that since the reviews under this name someone started a new Unilocal account for the same place under a slightly different name.

Got a gift certificate off
… that was the only reason to go here. I traded in my other voucher that I bought… the staff was great, and the food was ok. This place has potential. but needs a lot of help. It was almost totally empty when I visited and can see that only regulars seem to come in… not very impressive.

We didn’t like it at all. We had a voucher otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed. I brought my young kids and had a few low tables to choose from. The place was mostly empty. The tables had scotch tape all over them like someone thought tape would repair whatever was wrong.
The kids meals were fine. The fries were good. My breaded chicken sandwich was something I could have made from my freezer and it took them awhile to «cook» it. My husband said the burger was good but was surprised at how small it was. Once we gave the voucher and asked for our bill, our server disappeared. The kids were growing bored and a bit crazy, and I think the cook saw we were looking agitated. He asked what we needed and then went looking for our check. It was just so slow!
We were there for an early dinner, and the women’s bathroom was pretty dirty. They open in the afternoon and don’t appear to see many female customers, so I’m guessing no one cleaned the bathroom the night before or in all the 4 hours they were open before our arrival.
We will not be returning. We have more vouchers and will just give them away.
