Very nice place! Pretty, serene, friendly staff. They were great about discussing my options. And they have a relaxation room with massage chairs and a keurig.

My whole family has been going here for 3 or 4 years and we’ve always been very happy with the doctors, the office staff, and the flexibility. But I haven’t been compelled to write a review until today. This morning, my step-​mom broke her glasses and as a result could not see or do anything. The glasses looked bad, lens fell out and the thin wire holding it in was broken and bent. I called the office and Michelle said bring the glasses in and we will see what we can do. Well, she took them and worked on them for 10 – 15 minutes and, voila, they were good as new. And when we asked, how much do we owe you – no charge she said. That’s why I like these local businesses. They want to be part of the neighborhood. Thanks, Insight Eye Optique. You definitely cemented our loyalty.

Have come here for my last 3 eye exams and it’s always a great experience. I have seen both doctors and what great personalities they have. So personable and friendly. I have had a couple of eye issues recently and they are able to work me into their busy schedules with short notice. Nice office and friendly staff. Was able to try on several different frames when I needed glasses. My eye glass order arrived pretty quick and they made sure I was happy with them. Would highly recommend Insight Eye Optique.

I’ve gone myself and taken my kid once and I’m not impressed.
Three issues:
1. Painful prescription
2. Exceedingly expensive and they push unnecessary services, options, and exams
a. Name brand frames — there were no affordable options
b. Every lens option way over amount allowed by insurance
c. They pushed an unnecessary test that has to be paid out of pocket
d. They lied and said all kids should get an optometrist vision screen after age 4 or 5.
3. Fit. She didn’t fit my frame right the first time, they slipped down even though I said they didn’t fit right. I had to go back.
First, the prescription I got is waaaaaay different from my old one. I got prescription sunglasses this last time so I go back and forth between old prescription and new. It hurts every time I put on the sunglasses and everything is super blurry because the difference is so great. My eyes do not adjust even if I’m driving for a couple hours with them on. So I paid hundreds of dollars for glasses I can’t even really use as intended.
Second, expensive! Super expensive. I have decent vision insurance but every lens option was way above the allowed amount. They only offer super expensive name brand frames, well over the allowed. They also pushed hard this eye photography thing that costs $ 100 out of pocket — as a baseline for comparison for future retinal changes. My insurance was like, yeah, right. In addition, they told me that all kids need to have their vision screened from age 4 on. Yes, they do — and all kids do get screened with the letter/​shape chart at their annual pediatric well kid visit as well as the occasional screenings done at school. You don’t actually need an optometrist screening if there’s no need for glasses indicated by the standard chart screen. I took my 6 year old because I believed them even though his school and ped said he was fine. Then I discovered why you don’t take kids to optometrists if there’s no need. They’re really not set up for younger kids, kids don’t really understand, they don’t all sit still, and frankly, there’s not a lot they can do with a wiggly kid. Don’t do it unless you see signs of eye strain (squinting, headaches, etc) or your ped/​school nurse says there’s a need. It’s a waste of time/​money.
Third, choice and fit. I was not impressed with the help I received picking out the frame initially and they really didn’t have many options for people with narrow faces. I’m not talking about frames that were attractive on me, I’m talking about frames that would even fit a narrow face no matter if they looked good or not. I was not impressed with the selection or the advice. I don’t care so much about cutting edge fashion, I want what looks good and fits well, no matter if it’s not the latest style. When my glasses came in, I got them fitted but she did a poor job and she said they didn’t need fixing when I asked. That’s what you get for coming in at the end of the day and when there are other customers, I guess — half-​assed work. I had to come back another time to get them fitted so they don’t slip down. Glasses can’t work if they don’t stay where you need them.
There’s nothing affordable. Of course, it’s Brambleton but still. Yes, there’s a fancy ‘relaxation’ room. If you get a massage and glasses elsewhere, it’ll cost the same or less. The Dr. was nice but I’m not convinced she got my prescription right.

Everyone is very nice, good customer service. I’ve seen both doctors and I really like them both. Love those massage chairs too! :)

Gave this place a visit after reading through the reviews. Everything was good except for one thing. The doctor was very nice and informative and front desk was great and attentive, until my 1-​year contact lense order. Why would I pay several hundreds of dollars and NOT want my contacts ordered? I waited 3.5 weeks thinking they would call me as the front desk said. I also mention running low on my old prescription contact lenses and they said no worries we will call you once it’s in. I now sit here with no contact lenses after I had to call for an update on my orders. Apparently when you pay for your order you have to tell them you would like it actually ordered and shipped. I doubt I will come back here again which is sad because the doctor seemed really nice.

The staff at Insight Eye Optique is extremely friendly and professional with all their clients. Dr. Sutaria is a kind, gentle woman who clearly demonstrates interest in the well being of her patients. I have been with them for about two years now, and althought their office is small, I wouldn’t trade their services for any other office. Oksana is always willing to help you pick just the right set of frames, she has an amazing sense of style! And Jennifer at the front desk is extremely helpful with any questions you might have. I have not once felt rushed during my appointment, and their relaxing room with coffee and massage chairs is the cherry on top of the cake.

I had a great experience buying glasses at Insight Eye Optique. After looking at other stores all day and not finding anything I liked, I decided to drive out to this shop in Ashburn. I was not disappointed! The optician, Oksana, helped me find a frame that perfectly fit my face, eyes, and coloring. Ordering the lenses was very easy. Now that I have the glasses, they are wonderful! I’ve received compliments on the style, and since they fit so well, they are completely comfortable. I am very happy I went to Insight Eye Optique!

I’ve had a great experience here both myself and my two children. Dr. Sutaria is down to earth, super friendly and she take the exams thoroughly and she really spend her time tweaking your prescription to get it right and will take extra time effort to throughly explain her diagnosis. They also have great frames collections that I have not seen from other eyewear store such as Oliver People collections and other independent brands.
Specially Oksana she is AWESOME!.. She knows exactly what is good fashion and patiently select and recommend what’s the right glasses that’s perfect for your face, fashion and style. Their staff would support you as well in giving you their honest opinion on what looks best for you.
Both Dr. Sutaria and Dr. Bierwiler were great doctor and they have friendly staff and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this office to anyone needing an exam,
glasses, or any other treatment. :)

The entire staff is very professional and patient. Both of my young boys had appointments and if I did not know better I would have thought this office specialized in children. They made my kids feel right at ease and talked to them the entire time. I have also had examinations at this location and have been very pleased. I appreciate how I do not feel rushed and the thorough exam that Dr. Sutari gives. I highly recommend this location.

So it has been about 8 years since my last eye exam. I decided to give this place a try based on Unilocal reviews. My eyes aren’t that bad where I wear glasses all the time. I do wear glasses at night to drive (although legally I don’t have to yet) and at musical events, concerts or shows. So I was overdue for a new pair! My husband currently has AWESOME insurance and I figured I would take advantage in case it changes as his small company was recently bought by a big company. So Dr. Jill (not sure of her last name) and she was AWESOME. Her personality was great and not at all pushy on anything. She did recommend a photo test where the insurance doesn’t cover all of it, and I did decide to do it this time.
I also decide to look at frames and the lady who helped me was really fantastic! I liked her a lot and she was patient as I figured out what style I wanted to go with. She also helped with suggestions and telling me what she liked. In the end it came down to two different pairs. a pair of Royal Blue Kate Spades or a Silhouette. Both VERY different. In the end I decided to get the Silhouette a try. They do also offer sunglasses and currently had a 40% off sale.
I do wish there was a slightly larger selection of frames, but overall was happy with all they had there.
I can’t wait to go and pick up my new frames!

I’ve been wearing contacts and glasses for almost 20 years now and have moved to more cities than I can count. Insight Eye Optique is the best I have ever found for optometry.
Dr Sutaria is very patient and will take whatever time you need to make sure you find the perfect contacts for your eyes and your lifestyle.
The office is run well and you can typically get appointments for the same week when you call. The staff always goes out of their way to print out whatever materials I need for rebates and explain all charges.
There is also a ‘relaxation room’ which almost makes me wish I had more of a wait when I visit ;) Great job Dr Sutaria and Insight Eye Optique!

Dr. Sutaria really cares about her patients and is much more concerned about their happiness and wellness than how much money they spend. This is so refreshing after dealing with so many doctors who only care about their bottom line.
If you want a really thorough eye exam and a really great pampering experience get your eyes checked here!!! Especially if you are fashion conscious, Oksana (the optician) knows everything about not just eyeglass fashion, but general fashion, and is happy to share her insights with anyone who talks to her about it.
They carry all my favorite eyeglass brands, too! Oliver Peoples, Tom Davies, Etnia Barcelona, and a bunch of others. Love that they care about carrying independent brands and not just the same old same old brands.

After reading so many great reviews on Unilocal,I made an appointment at Insight. I’d previously been going to the Old Town location of Voorthuis Opticians. It wasn’t impressive. Anyway…
The location is very easy to find and the front desk staff is friendly. They were on time, ran smoothly. There was a low-​pressure up-​sell to have a special photograph of your eye taken, but it wasn’t a high pressure sales environment at all.
Dr. Sutaria is down to earth, friendly, and efficient. She made some recommendations, but also said if something was working for you, no reason to change it. I appreciated that she took care to see whether I needed additional correction for my astigmatism. I didn’t feel a ton of sales pressure here. She actually recommended cheaper contacts than the ones I’d been wearing for years and, unlike a previous optometrist, didn’t try to talk me into expensive astigmatism contacts.
I was in and out in less than half an hour. They do a complementary follow-​up appointment to make sure everything is working out for you, which I appreciate. I’ve found my Loudoun eye doctor.

Respect? Value? This Store dose not value your services or respect you or will give you the time of day. I had a appointment sent in for this place, which I had made special arrangements from my work to come there since they «claim to be busy through out the entire week». I arrived 10 minutes late, you would think they would have some type of «understanding» but I was rejected when I arrived and said «she» was busy with someone else that was in my spot. I thought that was kinda weird. which there was only 1 other person and I know they take walk ins because when I arrived at this store for the first time I was offered a walk-​in.
My conclusion to the person who runs this place seems to have these traits.

After some horrible experiences with Optometrists (see previous reviews) I am happy to announce I have found a GREAT one!
Dr. Sutaria is super friendly, smart, and willing to work with difficult eyes. She fixed my horrendous prescription and I can finally see again! My eyeballs are much happier :)
I also picked out some awesome glasses and sunglasses — which I get tons of compliments on… all of the credit goes to Oksana for that! The front desk staff is ALWAYS friendly and competent.
The only drawback is that it is a bit expensive. It did cost me around $ 1000 out of pocket (on top of my insurance, which, admittedly, is not that great) for glasses, RX sunglasses, and a year’s worth of contacts. They do have a great plan to save on contacts if you’re in the market for those kinds of eyeballs.

This is far and away the best place for taking care of your eyes. Dr. Sutaria is fantastic — extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and has great staff. Her optician, Oksana, is great at getting you into the right glasses.
Can’t recommend this place enough!

I was looking around for a new eye doctor in Loudoun county as my yearly eye examination is coming up soon. We stumbled upon this place in Brambleton based on Unilocaler’s excellent reviews and we were glad we took the chance. Dr. Sutaria is one of the most kindest and sweetest eye doctor we have ever met. Like many fellow Unilocaler commented, she is very patient and professional throughout our visit. The whole process was seamless and it shows dr. Sutaria really cared about her patients. Even the staffs at the front desk was nice and patient.
The coolest thing about this place is that they have this ‘relaxation room’ where patients waiting can sit down on one of the two massaging chairs while sipping on a cup of Carribou coffee and relaxing your eyeballs staring at the waterfall display on the wall in front of you. My girlfriend and i spent a good 20 minutes on these chairs while we were waiting for our eyes to be dilated — it felt good. It would be nice if they have masseuses coming out to massage your eyeballs too… but i think that’s asking for too much.
Overall, excellent place and great services. Highly recommended and will definately be back next year!

What a great place! Dr. Sutaria is very professional, thorough, patient, and personable. I have astigmatism and pretty bad vision with a different RX in each eye, so finding the right contact for me is always a bit of a frustrating process. Dr. Sutaria was always kind and patient, and I could tell that she sincerely cared that everything was right for me before I left her office.
The lady in the glasses department is awesome! She really cares that her clients leave happy. She’s always willing to help recommend frames, and give her honest opinion on what she thinks looks best. I always really appreciate that. Plus, she told me that she just got in 40 new, more stylish frames. YAY!
And the relaxation room?! I could seriously stay there forever. That massaging chair made me wonder why human beings ever gave massages in the first place. Unbelievable! Who looks forward to going to the eye doctor, right? I do, I do! What could be better than a massage in the morning before a long day of work? Ahhh! Oh, let me not forget the awesome hours at this place. Did someone say open ’til 7PM? Yup, they are actually open until 7PM on some weekdays AND open Saturdays. I mean, what else can you possibly ask for?! I must say, however, that this place is a bit pricier than what I experienced living in Miami.

A stellar recommendation from a former work colleague led me to Insight Eye Optique, and the trek out to Ashburn was well worth the trip! My previous process for selecting an optometrist depended solely on proximity to the office, so I was used to subpar customer service and a generally unpleasant experience when I made my annual visit to the eye doctor to update my prescription.
I was already surprised Insight’s space: very modern, elegant, and stylist. This was way more welcoming than the dungeon-​like feel a lot of the downtown optometrists’ offices I’d visited in DC. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Sutaria takes immense care of each of her patients. Between Dr. Sutaria’s knowledge, and all top of the line equipment, Insight really impressed me. It was very fortunate that I came in for a visit because Dr. Sutaria noticed that I have enlarged optic nerves, which put me at risk for glaucoma; it’s shocking to me that no other optometrist ever noticed this because when Dr. Sutaria showed me pictures of my optic nerves in comparison to those of a healthy person’s, the differences were glaring.
Aside from the immense care given to patients, Insight can also feed the vanity of customers by offering a great selection of frames to choose from! I was in the market for some Oliver Peoples frames, and obviously came to the right place because they offered quite an expansive selection. Insight’s inventory is way ahead of the curve in terms of what they offer, I really liked that they don’t just offer the conventional brand names. They have a really great selection of ProDesign and Oliver Peoples frames, and I personally find these particular brands to be more unique and stylish than their counterparts.
In addition to my glasses, Dr. Sutaria offered me samples of multiple contact lenses to try out. I thought this was great, and it really allowed me to consider my options before settling on a specific brand at no additional cost!
Considering both my wife and I have terrible eyes, I am glad we found a wonderful optometrist! We will most certainly be back after our A+ experience.
