History

Established in 1982.

We began as Charlie’s Frame Shop over 25 years ago and changed our name to «State of the ART» in 2006. In November 2009, we moved to the Cox-​Lewis Building in Downtown Asheboro in order to collaborate with two other art related businesses… Circa Gallery & Dish’N, a paint your own pottery studio. We are so excited about the new «Art Hub» here in Asheboro!

Beverly Wilson is a local artist and has been in the custom framing business for over 16 years. She also has a B.S. in Interior Design from the University of Alabama.
