Ok. So my husband and I stopped in to visit Grove Park Inn while visiting the area. We stumbled upon this lounge that had magnificent views of Ashveille. We weren’t starving but hungry so we thought this would be a good place grab some drinks and apps. Yuck! My husband ordered the chicken sliders and I got the tempura mushrooms. The sliders were 15 bucks for 2 tiny sliders that came out burnt and flavorless. The mushrooms were all batter and luke warm. I don’t mind paying the price for good food but this was not good. Service was not up to par and slow. My advice is to have a drink here and maybe try the restaurant. I gave them 2 stars for the view.

So while visiting the Grove Park Inn a small lounge/bar that is located on the left side or southern end of the Inn is the Magnolia Lounge. This simple bar is located at the corner of one of the newer additions of the inn and a steady stream of traffic walked by as it was the holidays and folks were taking a little tour of this great establishment. The area has several couches and chairs in the traditional style of when the Inn was originally built, but the real draw here was the fantastic view of the city of Asheville… my hometown. If you get a chance to have a drink here… make sure it is a double and just sit back and enjoy the view for a while. Bartenders are very professional and provides excellent service.
