UPDATE 4÷16÷15: This business owner is calling me a liar and a bully for my review. I stand by all claims. I have supporting evidence to back up my review and will continue to defend myself as long as they continue to make false statements about this review. I thought this conversation ended 8 months ago after he apologized and offered me a refund, until he started posting new allegations last week (which have already been edited from their original content).
UPDATE 4÷10÷15: I would be happy to forward the private message Mike sent me last year admitting the quote was too high and apologizing, he also offered me a refund. This post has never been removed for being inappropriate. I stand by all claims. Interesting that he deleted all his own previous comments… definitely a case of «Byer» beware!
UPDATE 6÷29÷14: In response to Mr. Byer’s assertion. My wife and I share this Unilocal account, the Google account is in my name. He called me on 6÷27÷14 and asked who referred me to his business, he said I didn’t know what I was talking about and probably hadn’t even had the repair done yet (the repair was completed last weekend for $ 300), he implied that I never been to his business as he also did in his response to this review. I have a receipt that shows the estimate and the «inspection» charge, Repair Order #64 495 on 6÷20÷14. Now he is calling me a liar. I would be happy to provide anyone with a copy of the work order.

Took my car in due to a squeaking noise from the back tire. Was told I needed to completely overhaul the front and back brakes for $ 1000. Explained $ 1000 was out of my price range and asked if they could fix what was most urgent and I could bring it back for the remainder, they refused to do anything less than the $ 1000 repair quoted. Told them I needed a second opinion, then they charged me FORTY DOLLARS for the brake inspection before they would release my car. Subarus R Us in Swannanoa quoted the same repair for half the price. The Mobile Mechanic quoted a third of the price and will come to my house to make the repair. Do not use this guy.

I would happily and confidently recommend these folks to anyone in Asheville! Recently had my Prius repaired by them and they were honest and efficient. They also charged half the price the dealer wanted for the repair. Am grateful both my husband and I have found good folks to take care of our Toyota needs in future. I wouldn’t think of taking my car anywhere else and plan on telling all of my friends about them.
