Star Shine Station

Wanted to try this store but they lost three customers after waiting around ten minutes for the owner to open the store (during store hours mind you) but no one ever did. I’m not allowed to show up late for my job, would be nice to have my time respected.

Awesome place! You have to check out when you are in west Asheville, she is constantly decorating and adding new and interesting things,
Think magical vintage and an interesting artist
Who is always creating and dancing around
And you get to hang out in the studio and actually take home some amazing things she has been
Uncovering for years. Pretty cool, and with taco billy right next door, it makes it that much better…

My time in North Carolina was great but I had the best experience in Asheville. The amount of good vintage and record shopping was the best! Star Shine Station is this rad little vintage shop that has a massive selection of vintage for both the ladies and the gents! Don’t be fooled by all of the beautiful furniture and rad mid century, 70s kitsch art on the walls. Most of them are the owners personal collection. But her little living room area is amazing! She really has done a good job in making a unique shop. The minute that you walk you are overwhelmed by the amount of neatly placed and organized vintage items. I was more impressed with her massive wall that she has filled with art. Almost as though it was a gallery wall. Ughhh everything in here is awesome and made me wish that I had driven to NC rather than had flown. I wanted to bring back so much rad stuff with me! Aside of the vintage I was warmly welcomed by the owner and I forgot her name but she was super sweet and when she learned that I was visiting she welcomed me, we sat down and chatted for a long time! So customer service here is rad!
If you are belt person then you will love her selection of belts. I scored on so many great ones but by far my favorite is the macramé fitted belt with a massive copper buckle!
