The food was okay, I got a Philly cheese steak and it was dry. The Mac n cheese didn’t have much flavor, but the mozzarella sticks were good. However, what really blew it for me is that all the employees would not stop arguing and yelling at each other. Our waitress left us without drinks for the first 20+ minutes and was cursing like no other, which wouldn’t have bothered me if my two year old son wasn’t sitting right beside me. The cook kept calling people«morons» and was rude to other employees. In short, we won’t come back.

Went the other night with my wife and she had the hamburger and I had the patty melt. My burger was tasty although smaller than expected and the bread was ginormous. Wifey’s burger was a bit less done than she would prefer. The worst part was we sat by the kitchen entry where you could see trash on the floor and the cook wiping his nose on his shirt and didn’t have any gloves on. We were surprised that they had a 95 health rating.

We just moved from downtown to Leicester, and were so excited to find Wynn’s just down the road from our house! We have been there twice so far to eat, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and have not been disappointed. Their omelettes are light and fluffy, their burgers are on point, their portions are generous, their staff is super friendly and sweet, and their prices are so reasonable(everything seemed to be around $ 6 — $ 8). What more could you possibly want in a restaurant? Get used to this face, Wynn’s Diner, because I’m pretty sure you are going to be seeing me A LOT!

First time at this diner and the amount of food is very good. Paide 4.99 for the original and a bowl of oatmeal. Waitress was nice. Definitely a nice stop for breakfast lovers.

There are some things I REALLY like about Wynn’s: the prices, and relatively relaxed atmosphere. They also have some creativity, if you look for it. Today’s special is Cowboy Chili.” So if you have never had bear, bison, beef, and cactus in the same bowl, you now have your chance. But you better act fast, because it will probably be gone by tonight. This sort of fare sure sets Wynn’s apart from the usual Asheville offerings. While Asheville is pretty proud of its«quirky» reputation, I bet no other restaurant here serves THIS combo. I didn’t order it; I ordered something safer, the reliable Reuben, specifically. It seem a little weird. And I bet no hipster would be caught in his/her Pendleton’s and Fred Perry’s at Wynn’s, eating Cowboy Chili for $ 5.00. But if the same dish were being served to them at someplace like Blackbird for $ 21.95 per cup, the chili would be magically transformed from weird to quirky and cool. Having been away for a few months, I recognize I kind of miss the oddities, and the genuineness of the serving staff, and the fact that Wynn’s can never seem to get their wi-fi together. The local color is well worth watching too, ranging from dreadlocked Rasta wanna-bees, to granola grannies, to the Leicester redneck contingent. Everybody seems to be there for the same thing I am, an nobody seems to get in anyone else’s face. So I will lay down the challenge: drive 10 minutes from downtown, and dare to try the ultimate in Asheville quirk, and show me your«Bear Badge.» I don’t think they have such a thing, but they should. And they should also have another badge for people who eat at cheap chain restaurants only, called the«Sysco Kid.»

Stopped by here on a whim, definitely has the good old diner feel and cheer. I would probably come back just for the vibes even if the food was horrible but the food was quite good, very filling and there’s lots left on the menu I’d like to explore. I think this would be the perfect breakfast spot for a hangover, good fast heavy food, quick and friendly service, cozy cheerful environment. Glad we decided to give it a shot!

I’ve eaten here about ten times and I have never been disappointed. Perfect traditional diner food. Great prices, hard working and friendly staff.

Hands down best price for food in Asheville. Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. 12.00=2 pancakes, 4 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 orders of biscuits and gravy. I prefer this place to Waffle House or Huddle House as the food seems more home style. The staff is friendly and on point. The atmosphere is Diner Style so don’t go all dressed up like a numbskull. It’s a shame they aren’t open after hours because this would be the best late night stumble food ever. I’m very picky about food and snooty people. Come to Wynn’s but don’t be snooty and be humble. Enjoy what they have and get some pie.

I was expecting so much more from this restaurant based on the previous reviews but it was a huge disappointment. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. The fried chicken was 2 tenders fried extremely hard with shredded cheese on top… Come on people… A fried chicken sandwich is something all small country diners should be masters at. The Mac and cheese was horrible and I couldn’t eat it. It tasted just like Kraft out of the box, Kraft may actually be better. On a good note the fried okra was very tasty. Overall, save your money and go somewhere else.

Classic diner fare done well. Wynn’s delivers on burgers, sandwiches(terrific club and reuben!) and breakfasts at reasonable prices and friendly service. Large portions. Plenty of parking is another plus.

Good service, good food. Convenient location in Leicester area for a quick, «home-cooked» meal. Soups are very good & filling, nice side item choices, and breakfast is a sure bet. Bring a jacket because it always seems cold… that’s probably because the cooks & waitresses are working so hard! Check out the desserts too.

Based on the reviews posted here, I expected more. Located in a former Huddle House, service was good, prices fair and food mediocre. Far from being the best breakfast in Asheville– a random Denny’s would be a comparable experience.

Had a delicious breakfast with friends to end our Asheville vacation. All four of us really enjoyed it. The sausage gravy was really good and I set a high standard for sausage gravy. Scrambled eggs and hash browns were on point. Highly recommended if you want a no-frills, classic diner breakfast at a very affordable price.

Wynn’s is great. The food is very good for a very good price. Service is excellent. We’ve been for both breakfast and dinner and everything we’ve had has been great. I’ll be sad when I don’t live right up the road from this place anymore. Things to try: omelets, biscuits(excellent) and burgers.

The best breakfast in Avlle. Great service. Food prepared by people who enjoy and care about what they do. Clean cheerful diner. And the hamburgers are outstanding. Try the onion rings, too!
