Jasmer’s Rainier Cabins & Fireplace Rooms

We stayed in the Trillium and everything was great. Very upscale and roomy house (seems wrong to call it a «cabin» — it’s much nicer than any cabin I’ve been in).

We stayed in the wildbird cabin which was just right for 2 people. The little fridge was perfect for our needs and having a sink with provided dishes was very helpful. We really liked having a grill available for us as well.
The hot tub was great, and while there was a board on which to schedule your hot tub time, we arrived back from hiking so late that by 9:30 or 10 PM we could use it freely as long as we liked.
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned here, which I think is worth knowing about, is that if you’re going to Rainier you will likely not have any cellphone service. This is not a problem at Jasmer’s, at least if you have Verizon. They provide their own cell phone repeater from Verizon, like a home-​based hotspot just for your phone. My phone picked up service for the first time in a day as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. The wifi was great as well.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU KNOW WHAT A REAL CABIN IS OR WHAT PRIVACY MEANS OR EVEN EXPECT THEM TO MAINTAIN THEIR OWN SHIT YOUR PAYING OUT THE NOSE FOR IT!

That’s how I can easily and accurately describe my experience at the Jasmers Rainer Retreat
Apparently people don’t know what a cabin is, that was a mobile home off its wheels and painted brown. We spent over 300 to get what we found out was a overly exaggerated SHOE BOX.
The Wifi wasnt working when we got there ans their IT guy who couldn’t be bothered to listen worth a shit to my husband on how to fix it and fast after Jamers tried to get my husband to fix it for them and not call their guy. He purposely ignored my husband after bitching he had supposedly gone through recent gall bladder surgery and yet looked as if he was just fine the whole time showing no pains just stubborn old man with head up his ass.
We were promised privacy n had WAY DIFFERENT EXPECTATIONS From what they portrayed and claimed on their site.
I had a buncha people’s cabins hella close all around our shoebox rental and was even rudely walked in on by 2 women from nextdoor who stood there like 5ft away from the deck and just talked like we wernt even there let alone looking pissed off as fuck at them.
TOP SHIT OFF THEY CHARGE YOU FOR CLEANUP, DISHES, ETC
im sorry but talk about cunts serious, you should have seen the post they had about charging hourly for dirty dishes left in the ««cabin.» There was 2 small n 2 large plates, 2 bowls, etc, HONESTLY IF THEY ARE CHARGING HOURLY WITH THAT AS THE LOAD THEN THEY GOTTA HAVE A TURTLE LICKING THEM CLEAN TO BE THAT SLOW!
They have YOU CLEANING UP AFTER ADVERTISING AS A ROMANTIC GET AWAY.
I will NEVER EVER FORGET THIS NIGHTMARE OF A RENTAL!
I never will go and do business with these overpriced lying scam artists again.
We basically payed for a patio deck n hottub as the cabin has the largest room as the bedroom/​kitchenette/​entty hall and then there’s a bathroom with a shitty stall shower in it.
Couldn’t even spring for a romantic bathtub at least?
Then they also advertised we could have a nightly rustic fire. Which was so not true.
the bumpkin fire department (im not kidding jt looks. like a joke) put a county wide burn ban out which I have no idea if it was even legal cus OUR NET
HARD AND I HAD ZIP FOR SERVICE IN AN AREA THAT LOOKED LIKE AN EVERYDAY NEIGHBORHOOD.
I want my money back SO FUCKING MUCH and THEN SOME. I want my wasted time of my life I had to endure the bullshit Jasmers served us.
You wanna buy an experience thats no different than babysitting a neighbors home with a hot tub and pay hundreds a night for it with 2 – 3 night rental REQUIRED. I doubt you do!

The words Privacy and Cabins are just used out of context way too much for them to have told 1 truth about their business.

We stayed at Tahoma vista, which was an adorable little cabin stocked with everything you could want for a relaxing long weekend. This is a much better experience than a hotel or b&b room and worth the price if you are traveling with kids. Thank you Bridget for telling us about the area. They also have a thick binder with information about the area in the chalet.

My husband and I stayed at the rainier retreat for two nights. It is a very cute little cabin and we were able to have a thoroughly relaxing weekend.
On arrival we walked in and the fireplace was going, they had Christmas lights on back deck and a small tabletop tree with candy canes. We thought that was really cool. The hot tub on the back deck was nice. There are a couple cabins near but with the privacy fencing it still felt private.
The cabin was well stocked with towels, extra blankets, pillows, candles, paper products, foil etc. If anything is needed a phone is located on bathroom counter to call owners. I appreciated having plenty of towels etc. for our entire stay as we came there for privacy.
It was super clean! It is a small cabin so no closet or too much storage but look under bed because there is a roll out board to store things. Many wall hooks to hang clothes.
The location is close to park entrance. It is also close to copper creak restaurant which is an excellent place for breakfast. We have had lunch and dinner there before but so far breakfast was my favorite meal.
In Ashford we were able to pick up a few grocery items that we forgot.
We look forward to coming back.

I had read such good reviews about this place and was excited to call them and make reservations. My first experience with them was awful and quite frankly insulting. The lady on the phone was short to the point of being rude. I started making enquiries about their availability etc. and the first thing she does is interrupt me and ask for my phone number. Next, she asked me if I was the same person that called before. I told her this is my first time calling. After that, she just seemed uncommunicative and after I asked a couple more questions, I was so turned off by her abruptness and rudeness that I decided that there is no way I am booking at a place that treats a potential customer so rudely.
There are other nice lodges in the area with much more friendly and courteous staff.

Wasn’t sure when we first got there if we were going to be happy, but, oh! We were very comfy and had a lovely experience. We had the wild bird room. Great deal on this place, it’s cozy but roomy enough, great peaceful setting with gardens, hiking trail behind cabins. We didn’t use the outdoor garden set hot tub but it looked good. Loved the fireplace, the bird feeders, comfy bed, llama’s (?) next door, friendly kitty on premises, all the goodies in the kitchen… every need met– even DVD’s and books! Really great getaway, would love to return someday.

Jasmer’s cabins are clean, not too small, and kept in good condition. The setting is pleasant but there are no mountain views. I would not mind staying here during the winter, spring, or fall — in short when the temperature outside stays well under 70 degrees. The problem is that the cabin we were in – and the others as far as I can see — are designed with virtually zero air flow. There is, of course, no air conditioning, and the tiny window fan is nowhere near up to the task. The bottom line — the room is useless during sunlight hours. Sorry, I really wanted to like you Jasmer’s.

Jasmer’s is quaint, inviting, QUIET and comfortable. It’s super cozy and the hosts are wonderfully welcoming. The room we stayed in (Songbird) had some groovy old fixtures — they type you might remember seeing in an older home when you were a kid.
The bed was a little soft but still comfortable, and we slept like rocks. The hot tub has a lovely little gazebo and is private and has beautiful trees and plants around it, as does the entire place.
The hosts also are great resources for local attractions, hikes, restaurants, etc.
Good for a weekend getaway or a week of downtime!

Jasmer’s is fantastic! My husband found it completely by accident online when we were looking to stay near Mount Rainier National Park. We ended up staying in the Tahoma Vista Chalet. More space than we needed for just the two of us (three beds, plus a couch-​bed), but still cozy. I love the touches of home — books, movies, CDs, board games. Anf of course the hot tub. :o) I wish we had been able to stay longer than two nights.

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away. I thought he was planning a trip away on Memorial Day weekend. I also thought I may have ruined the surprise for myself (not maliciously) but I was peeking over his shoulder and thought I had an idea of what we were doing (I’ve been wanting to go to a dude ranch). I was wrong on both accounts! He called me at 3:30 on Friday afternoon, asking if I thought I could leave early. Of course I’m like «for what» — and he said «super surprise weekend away»…and I said «I thought that was memorial day weekend» and he said that I thought wrong. After a few minutes of disbelief back and forth, I was outside waiting to be picked up. He had everything booked, and ready to go, even my bag packed (which was a scary thought in itself)… He wouldn’t tell me where we were going and was hardly participating in the guessing game… it was a 2 ½ hour drive…
Well, I can’t tell you how shocked and pleasantly surprised I was when we arrived at the Tacoma Vista Chalet.
. The cabin was so adorable and had all the amenities. All of the thought and all the little details that go in to this place was not unnoticed. The owners have thought of everything and then some. The binder was so informative and helpful. It rained the entire weekend, and the rain on the metal roof was so soothing, and the wood burning fireplace kept the cabin toasty. And the hot tub was a perfect ending to the evenings. No cell phone reception… no tv… we just read questions from the 90’s edition of Trivial Pursuit and went to bed early… This cabin was fully equip… we cooked steaks out on the grill and had a FEAST.
It was perfect (other than maybe the weather). It was a great weekend away!!! I really do feel very relaxed and re-​engergized. :)

The Good:
: the owners are really nice, helpful, friendly, and professional
: the cabin we stayed in, the tahoma vista, was extremely roomy. it had 2 bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), a livingroom, a kitchen, a laundry room, and 1 bathroom
: there are a ton of amenities here that you can find online at their site in case i forgot something. there’s a hot tub (yessss) outside, a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools and dishes you’ll need for anything, some basic spices and condiments for cooking, a washer and dryer with detergent, a hodgepodge collection of vhs movies, comfortable couches, an indoor fireplace stove thingy, a fully stocked wood shed outside, an outdoor firepit with chairs, a spacious patio, and more
: it’s not far at all from mt rainier… it’s about i think a 10 or so minute drive to the entrance of the park
: it’s really remote so you can really get lucky and see wildlife out and about near and around the property
The Bad:
: no cable TV and no internet wireless access. this can be a good or a bad thing actually. it was good b/​c it helped you get away and escape from the everyday connectivity we’re all used to and really spend quality time while your’e there. however, it’s also annoying b/​c when you are looking into suggested/​recommended places to eat, shop, etc around the small town where the cabin is and you can’t get online to do so. so it all really depends on how you look at it. i saw it as both a blessing and a curse, not having wireless. :) they do offer other cabins that have satellite tv and wireless access, so maybe next time i’ll look into one of those.
: it smelled a bit musty during the stay. we’d open the windows to air out the cabin and it would be okay.
The Ugly:

Would I go back? In a heartbeat. An awesome cabin with most everything you’ll ever need to get away from it all and get mentally rebooted, and reconnected with yourself and anyone you go with and nature.
This place is IN.

I know giving Jasmer’s a 5 star rating is unoriginal of me, but it is deserved. I stayed in one of their fireplace rooms for a couple of nights with my partner. The room was very affordable, I’d even say cheap, and was very cute and cozy.
This is a great spot for a romantic getaway close to Seattle or simply a place to rest between day hikes or snowshoe outings on Mt. Rainier. We had access to a jacuzzi (had to sign up for an hour a night, but also slipped in during one of the many unreserved hours both days).
The room had a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and some dishes. We managed to eat most meals in– making it even more affordable. Would highly recommend Jasmer’s to anyone looking for a place to stay near Mt. Rainier.

After 2.5 years of being together, we finally got to spend Christmas together (my man always flies back home for the holidays). We decided to make it special and come down here. Wow, we couldn’t have imagined how pleased we would be. We got the Wild Bird Fireplace room. Even tho it was closer to the road, we couldn’t hear it. The place was cozy and romantic. They thought of everything. Tana took lots of time to talk to us about areas we might want to wander to, ect. We really were impressed. When we realized we forgot our hiking poles, she quickly came up with some for us. We snow shoed up at Rainier and each night came back to our toasty cabin and sat in the hot tub while doing some star gazing. This place is THE GO TO PLACE if you are looking for a romantic get away. We will certainly be back again soon. THANKS YOU GUYS for being such great hosts!

Are you looking to run away from Seattle and hide in the woods of Mt. Rainer? Because we were!
We’ve only ever done day trips to Mt. Rainer and honestly, it’s not enough. You can’t hike very much and you always feel drained on the way home.
This time we rented a nice cabin and even got one on a creek!
The cabins are posted all over the web and really advertised well. The photos don’t lie. Dealing with them through email is incredibly easy and efficient. Last minute changes were easy too.
We had the Big Creek cabin, which was perfect for two couples. A beautiful hot tub, a view of the creek from the sofa, and food to give the raccoons! We were thankful to be close enough to stores to grab last minute items, but far enough away to relax.
No internet, so be prepared for that. And no cable TV but plenty of movies and puzzles. We spent our time enjoying the campfire near the river and wandering Mt. Rainer, which was so close by.
I highly recommend getting a cabin with this company.

We stayed at the Tahoma Villa cabin (which was actually a small house). It was amazing, there was a private hot tub in the deck, we were surrounded by nature and close to Mt. Rainier. The house was stocked with everything imaginable. There were three beds, one soft, one medium firmness and one firm. The wood stove was romantic and heated the cabin nicely. Even the little things like tin-​foil were in the cabinet.
You only need to pack your clothes, there are two mini grocery stores near by, the kitchen has pots & pans plus there is a BBQ.
Tana and Luke (the owners) have thought of everything including a variety of movies to watch and games to play!
You will not be disappointed. We loved it!

There are several rental cabin providers in the Ashford area. I am sure there are many good ones, but I can’t see taking a chance after a stellar weekend.
Jasmer’s staff was very relaxed, very helpful about area activities/​restaurants. Policies are reasonable, with no surprise «cleaning fee» or any of that nonsense.
The cabin (Creekside) was perfect: hot tub, fireplace, picturesque, lots of movies, condiments/​spices/​cookware, and good layout. Lots of attention to detail… It even had three birdfeeders and a jar of birdseed!
Most important: it was super-​clean.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a place to base some Ranier activities, you could do a lot worse.
