Established in 1991.

Dr. Stephen M. Kaufman started Cheatham Family Dentistry to provide high quality dental care to Ashland City in a relaxing environment, with a friendly staff and a clean facility. Since 1991, we’ve brought our general and cosmetic dentistry services to patients from Nashville, Pleasant View, and Clarksville.

Dr. Stephen M. Kaufman was born and raised in California. He graduated from UC Davis and has since served the Ashland City Community for over 20 years. Dr. Kaufman is a Past Delegate for the ASDA and is currently active in Mission Trips with Doctors of America. Dr. Stephen Kaufman has traveled to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Thailand, and Bolivia.

Honestly, I’ve never written a review for a health professional, but I will for Dr. Kaufman. He has been able to fill my teeth, many of which are poor, without any numbing agents. He’s the most gentle, yet proficient dentist whom I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen him care for patients in a manner that I thought was lost. He is literally the «small town dentist.»

I had a number of crowns put on by Dr. Kaufman several years ago. I have since had three different dentists comment on the margins which were left between the crown and the tooth, allowing food to get in and continued decay. My newest dentist even asked if I had work done in another country!
It has been too long to remember a lot about the rest of the service, but when it comes down to it quality work should be the absolute first thing one looks for in a dentist and it is clearly lacking here.
