McGeorge RV is a good dealer. It’s just a shame that they sell primetime RVs. Biggest lemons in the industry!

Gave them my credit info and they said they wanted 500.00 deposit to «work for me». I told them no. They basically said oh, its refundable. Very shady business practices. I told them there was a 1000.00 rebate on the unit I looked at and the salesman stated he had no knowledge of it. HORRID BUSINESS PRACTICE! Something is rotten in Denmark here. STAY AWAY FROM.
CROOKS!
Oh here’s a better kicker, they offered my friend 600.00 for his trade in that blue booked at 7000.00! Their excuse was the economy was bad. He saw the same trailer there on their lot for 9000.00!
Yeah.

I am stuck, 500 miles from home with a 2015 Coachmen Concord, still under warranty, with no AC on a 96 degree day. Despite being an authorized dealer of Coachmen they refuse to take on new customers who didn’t buy from them. Basically I was told to take it on down the highway if I wanted repairs even under warranty. The Coachmen technical support team was surprised to hear that but certainly it is the dealerships prerogative. They did offer to sell me a new motorhome instead though… which I declined the offer. If they are not even going to help a stranded RV’er why bother even further. I have heard rv’ers are like a family and that is true in the campgrounds but don’t look for a lot of the dealerships out there to include McGeorge to stand behind the product line they sell. They say one bad review can impact 10 customers opinions on doing business with a company. Here is the bad review so that the next 10 customers can be wary.
PS — A competitor dealership/​service department already looked at my unit, talked with Coachmen, contacted Dometic, and arranged to have a new AC unit shipped to them for installation tomorrow. 2 hours install time plus a few minutes on the phone. Guess a couple hours of warranty work is too much to expect from some in helping stranded campers on record degree heat days.

So far I have had a very good experience at this RV center. I went shopping on a Saturday and they had about 20 salesman. We were allowed to walk around and walk in many are the mobile homes while waiting. Our salesman Justin showed us around with the golf cart. He listened to our needs and matched us up with 10 homes that look great. we narrowed our selection to five then the final one. There were no high pressure sales tactics. We picked our trailer up a week later and everything went as promised and more. I have read the other reviews on Unilocal and I am surprised at the negative reviews over pretty petty issues. Most of the negative reviews seem to’s center on the service department. I did see that because they sell so many RVs the sales department is overworked trying to get the new sales out the door. However as far as purchasing an RV this is probably the best RV center I have ever been to.

Sent email asking about trailer online? Heard nothing back. Sent Facebook message? No response. Left voicemail about said trailer? No callback. Call next day? Lady says,“Sure, we still have it. Come on out.” Get there and a salesman drives us around the huge unorganized lot for 15 min in freezing weather and we never find it. He goes back in to ask a «boss?» where it is? It sold 3 days ago!?! BUT, hey we got one around same price that was traded in that hasn’t even been inspected or put up for sale yet. We go luck at it, even have to set it up ourselves since they had yet to even open the door to it since the sale. Decide we want it but that we have to go get the cash 1^st after negotiating a price. Guess what? On our way back to finalize deal, they sell it to someone else while we are gone! We did all the hard work for them, opening everything up, pulling out the slideouts, setting up cushions & tables. Just to make it pretty for them to sell out from under us! Guess they could have given us the saleman’s commission, haha. But seriously, we are repeat customers. This was some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. You guys need to step up your game.

As an active Military family family we noticed All they did was rave about how much they «respect our Military». & offer amazing service to our troops! Hmm =\
Where to start. Was already approved by USSA, knew we were ready to buy either or! Got there & Bo was very kind, considerate & and even offered me an umbrella because it was so HOT out.
Then it started. We chose our new TT. A beautiful 33″-2007, excellent cond. Next was to have USSA submit a check to McGeorges. We also had a OLDER motorhome trade in. The day of our pickup went like this.
The OLD motorhome decided it didn’t want to be given away so we had to call a service out ($ 500.00) to get the belt fixed to get it there.
I told Bo that morning, then afternoon I was running behind, he said np
PLUS WE WERE PAYING THEM so hey stuff happens ok, but BO was upset we were not on time for them to get their $ basically ah ya =\ or an appointment basically but seriously .like I planned to have the OLD motorhome break down, really so I got there around 2:45 btw my privately hired
Mechanic inspector to look over our new investment & be 100% it has no delimitation, or other issues we may not know how to detect.
So he’s upset about that too later on. IDK why Were PAYING THEM right!
All in all this is how WE felt:
1^st he Made me feel like it was our fault that the bank messed up & that HE made it very clear the check was suppose to be made to them!
NO DA!
He then started stressing he had OTHER $/​people he’d made an appointment with, ok I never made it a point to RUSH or wait until he was done with his New $/​party.
Then to top this off!!!
Bo comes to me & tells me this word per word
«Who is that guy out there by the TT spouting things off»?
I said our mechanic rv inspector why? He said.
«WELL I DON’T LIKE HIM & HOW HE”S SAYING WERE SO UNORGANIZED»!!
Oh well pardon me SIR! But considering you
1. Locked up the TT the second he started noticing some things
2. Were RUDE to him!
3. Didn’t even know there were agreements about the Dr #,
The title & some yet go off about the bank check mix up.
Ya.
4. Told me there would no longer be a WALK THROUGH
Because you already sent him home BIG LIE BTW it was only 3:45
& in the back garage there were at least 13 guys back there who could of done a BASIC walk through considering we just paid them CASH /​CASHIERS CHECK PLUS SIGNED UP FOR THEIR MANUFACTURING WARRANTY!
No walk through happened ok! Once Bo got that check on his HAND

Well long story short I raised h@ll after we got it home! We ended up having a kitchen sink over flow because there was ZERO walk through to tell us a simple 2 grey tank was up front that needed to be opened which caused our NEW cupboards to bubble at the bottom!
After MANY, MANY EMAILS BACK & forth with Nat
We were FINALLY taken care of!
Bo is all about his commission, sad because he seemed genuine!
On a good note WE LOVE OUR TT!
Would we go back here again.
NO & the reason they get ONE star even after Nat sent us some
Money to fix ALL the problems BO had failed to handle prior
Is because they disrespected MY HUSBAND & that itself
Was the most dishonorable thing ever one can do is to USE THE WE SUPPORT
AND TREAT OUR TROOPS GREAT & not KEEP YOUR ENS OF THE BARGAIN ON THAT!!!

I wouldn’t buy from here again. We were first time buyers and wanted to get a little popup trailer, so we looked here. Melvin was very nice and let us look at a bunch of them, and gave us time to talk about it, and all of that. Later, when I went to pick it up, he allowed my dog inside. Very pleasant. So we bought it. They couldn’t schedule a pickup for nearly two weeks. Bummer. But things happen, right?
We should have known from the fact that they couldn’t FIND THE KEY for TWO hours on delivery day that there would be a problem. My husband had taken a half day off from work but it turned into an entire day. This is crazy because we paid cash so there was no financing. We were there the minute they opened. No way should it have taken so long. Also, during the demo on how to set up/​tear down, we were told that they wouldn’t show us how to do the awning because it was not a factory installation. That doesn’t jibe with the rest of the demo which included third party features. But okay, we can figure out an awning.
It gets worse, though.
We did a practice setup before our first trip. The second setup went fine. So did the third. But the fourth time we had to set up, the power system to raise the popup stopped just short of the appropriate height. After several calls, they were unable to walk us through the problem. We had to cut our out of state trip short because our popup was not usable.
Also, the door latch got jammed so we couldn’t unlock or open the door (luckily, since it’s a popup, we just undid the velcro to open the door). We took it into McGeorge for warranty repair. Turns out they had to replace the entire lift system. But it took them several weeks to get what they needed. No calls, no nothing. So here, we had owned our popup for two months but had only had possession of it for a total of a week and a half.
The kicker is, we decided to bring the mattresses in over the winter so they wouldn’t get musty. Guess what we found under the mattress: a tool to hand crank the popup up. Did even one of their techs think to mention this so that we wouldn’t have to cut our trip short? Not one.
So, never again. I might go check out what they have to get an idea of what’s out there, but I would never buy from them again based on their service.
Updated on 9÷25÷15 to add: guess what we had to have replaced AGAIN? Yep, the lift system. We’ve moved out of state since we bought the camper, but I had to include this little tidbit.

Ok. I read the reviews for here and figured that I would check it out anyway. Well I am really glad I did. We weren’t looking to purchase for a few more months and were just looking at different models to kinda see whats out there. We had already looked at two other dealers prior to here.
Jerry met us at the door and introduced himself and asked how he could help us. We explained that we were really just looking for our first travel trailer and were thinking about buying one in a few months. He said thats great and asked if he could help us narrow down our search. He asked us to take a seat, got my wife a sprite and started to talk to us about the way we travel, where we travel, how long we are our for and what we are looking to get out of a travel trailer.
He asked us the right questions and narrowed our search down to four models based on what we were looking for. He took us out to the lot via golf cart and showed us the first two models.
Let me say he got it right. The first one we saw was nice and fit us but he insisted on showing us a few other floor plans. The second one was really nice, fireplace and recliners, but it just didn’t have the oh yea feel. We walked over to the third one and he said I can guarantee this is going to be the one. Well he was 100% correct. The others did not have a rear window and this one does. It changes the feel of the coach. Well he was right. We walked into it and were greeted by two swivel chairs in front of a huge window that let in the light! It felt like home.
He was right on the money. We are outdoor people and like to see the outdoors. With the other units it was just a bit too closed off. He let us have all the time we wanted to hang out in the RV’s, take pictures, talk about them and never pressured us one bit. He showed us all the systems and how everything works and answered all of our questions.
The greatest thing about Jerry is he never forgot to include my wife. Several times when we have been looking at big ticket items like cars and the other rv lots they tend to forget about the wife. He always made sure to include her and ask her questions about what SHE wanted.
We ended up deciding on the way home that we are going to go ahead and purchase it now. We called Jerry up the next morning and gave him the news. He was very appreciative that we were going to go ahead now.
We got our own financing so I really cannot say how their finance department it. I do know that it only took me about 5 min to complete all the paperwork for the sale after I took them the check.
Everyone was so nice there. We get to pick up our home away from home on Tuesday and I will give an update on the delivery. I am sure that it will be a great experience!

Spent $ 1700 getting a state inspection, axle bearings greased, appliances inspected and leak in the awning fixed. Huge price for little work. Turns out, the awning was not fixed. Had to go back a second time.
When there are only two RV repair shops the North of Richmond area, pride in workmanship isn’t important. These two guys split up the business evenly, sending customers to the other guy each time. I feel like a ping-​pong ball bouncing between two equally incompetent shops.
Do I really need to trek to Fredericksburg for decent service?

I almost purchased an RV from McGeorge’s. Melvin Snow was the salesman I spoke to and he was great, but they didn’t have the Jayco 165 I wanted in stock. Later, after purchasing my Jayco trailer, I used McGeorge’s service dept. for warranty repairs — BIG MISTAKE. While «Jay» was obviously a diligent, hard-​working contact in service, the service itself was useless. I had to haul the RV there twice for a water leak — the first time they gave it back «No Problem Found» after the cabin flooded during a trip … UH, really!!! I contacted the Service Mgr., who said he’d «take care of it.» When I came back, he was on vacation and hadn’t spoken to anyone. Another time, one of the service tech’s YELLED at me when I insisted I left a key with a desk person (they later found it, but no apology followed). I’ve decided to buy a bigger RV travel trailer this year. ONE THING IS FOR SURE … IT WON’T BE PURCHASED OR SERVICED AT MCGEORGE’S RV. Too bad because some of the workers are great, but the service dept. ruins it for me.
