nice unpretentious cozy British pub… meat pies are authentic… nice beer selection… the pies are not cheap at $ 10-$ 11 each. And the meat was cold on the inside. I think it was probably an aberration. I might try it again.

Hate to break their win-streak with Unilocal reviews… But thought I’d mention that the meat pies are too small to be considered a dinner portion. Yummy as they may be(relatively for english food) it takes 2 to fill up for me. That said, i’m not gonns spend $ 20 on a salty stew in a little filo dough. I love the atmosphere and it’s a fun spot to drink beer, but it’s not on my go-to list for value or flavor. Their salads are the best value and flavor on the menu. But they’re not what you’re looking for in a pub & pie place. If you wanna spend $ 20 on great food, go to the Smithfield’s across the street for any meal. You wont be disappointed.

Meat… Ale… In a Pie… It’s perhaps the singular standout thing that the Brits do unequivocally well in the world of cuisine, and you can pair it up with some local brews as a side here at what I will now call Little Smitty’s™. We were happy with the sausage rolls, steak/ale, and ham hock options. The crusts on these puppies are what make them so delish. Service was attentive but perhaps a little ‘young’ and apologetic. It’s all good. I like the underground feel of this place. Not a ton of room, but they do great with what they’ve got. Seems like a logical post-Cabaret theater hangout for folks. Sure to return with friends.

Whenever Neil puts a place together we’ve learned it’s a must try! This is no different. We stopped in just before the dinner hour one night to enjoy happy hour. They have great beers on tap, including(at the time), Devastated Sky from Opposition Brewing! Taps rotate so don’t expect the same list each time. We were in a hurry to get home so grabbed a couple beers & the sausage rolls appetizers. Then we ordered our pies to-go. The sausage rolls were divine & I can’t wait to have them again. We both ordered the steak pie. It was SO good. The crust was perfection-not too rich. I was worried they wouldn’t hold up as a to-go order & would be soggy or something by the time we got it home. But they survived and were great! The only bummer is our to-go order was ready before the appetizer came out. Otherwise good service, food, and beer selection. We’ll be back!

I didn’t want to rate this place because I want it all to myself. Think comfort food meets Top Chef while you sit in a comfy brick pub with wooden tables and a warm friendly atmosphere for the whole family. Our waitress, Bella, made great recommendations. I can tell a good chef by the simple things. Salads as fresh and beautiful as any European café with dressing that made me wonder what the heck is in it, so I could have it at home. The chicken on it had great flavor and texture from a simple brine… The pies are melt in your mouth flakes of butterful beauty. This place I am sharing with you because I am nice. If it gets to full, you better let me join you because it’s addicting!

Delish addition to the Smithfeilds restaurant. Tried the pulled pork pie special and it was fantastic. Also enjoyed the sausage rolls, beetroot pickled deviled eggs, as well as the chicken curry pie. Seasonal fruit pie a la mode also yummy. Art out bartender was knowledge able and attentive.

Was really excited to try this place. My husband ran a British pub for many years and was really looking forward to some good pies! I really like the décor, it’s small and modern with clean lines. We ordered drinks, my husband got an Old Speckled Hen and it came with a warm glass. Literally warm, like right out of the dishwasher warm. The menu looked interesting, but we noticed right away that the sides for pies were lacking. Minted peas or a salad. It would have been AMAZING to have chips or mashers as an offering. After all, what’s better comfort food on a cold rainy evening, than a pie with potatoes. My husband ordered the steak pie and I got the chicken hot pot. My husband liked the steak pie but said it lacked a bit of depth. I took a bite and agreed. The crust on the pie was excellent, tho. My hot pot was really good, chicken and bacon flavor with crispy potato crust. It may have been just a tad dry, though. Overall very good, but we left feeling like something was lacking. Update! The owner messaged me, thanked me for my review and said that mashers were now on the menu! Wonderful :)

I had a crustless chicken pie here a week or so ago and it rocked. Came out really cooked perfectly with a nice sauce and a light crispy potato toping. Delicious! I’ll be back to try their other pies for sure. I think they have done a major improvement from the past Irish bar that had been in that location years previous.

Delish. Met a friend for lunch. We shared the sausage rolls, pickled veggies, small salad and the steak and ale pie. The sausage rolls were ridiculous. Good ridiculous.

This is the real deal. Hand pumped craft ales. These are the gentle beers the Brits adore. Try them for a smooth mouthfeel and minimal carbonation and chill. Clooney is making proper pies. Try them, too!

This place is great for sure! Bartender Art made me a tasty nonalcoholic beverage, although they do have a full bar and 10 beers on tap! I wasn’t super hungry so I got some small snacks, beetroot pickled deviled egg and the house made sausage bites with house made Worcestershire sauce! Both were delicious and reasonably priced! Neil Clooney has transformed the once dark and dreary space to a much more inviting British style pub!
