Bank of America

Needed a $ 10 money order while I was on this bank neighborhood. Went there, had to go thru a reasonable waiting time. The teller asked me If had an account with BOA. I said Yes I do. She then said its a 5 $ fee for your $ 10 money order unless you have $ 10.000 in your account. I was way short. Couldn’t believe the fee.

So messy inside!!! ATM sometimes, there is not enough cash for my withdrawal. I thought it was very convenient to have BOA ATM just a block away from my house BUT not at all.
(Sigh…)

I passed by this branch of Bank of America to deposit some cash right away before heading over to the movies.
This Bank of America is located on the corner of the street and there are 2 ATMs available for use. The ATMs are more modern because you can deposit cash without envelopes, take out cash right away, and save trees by not getting a receipt.
This is not your typical bank location since there is no actual bank to go into.
It was a bit messy inside and could definitely use some cleaning up.

Why hello there Manos Papayas oh wait your a bank now and an old smelly one at that. But your perfect for me when the one on Broadway and Steinway is super packed and very hot due to their non-​circulating room. ONLY go here if you have to because your in a rush. Be warned because sometimes the machine on the left does not work and I am not sure why. Seriously, Bank of America you should move to the old capital one building it makes more sense because it is a bigger location and between both this aim and the actual bank. The number one thing that sucks about this location is there is always a bum waiting by the door to hold it open for you and watching as you take out money. They should name this location to Bank of Amugging.

I sometimes ponder taking my money somewhere else strictly due to the awful experiences I’ve had at this ATM branch. The conditions are filthy. It’s a slum of an ATM. I can’t believe this is where I bank. There’s always trash piles of receipts and wrappers on the floor. There’s NEVER deposit slips or God forbid a pen! There was a woman changing her baby on the counter once. Sometimes the security strip where you slide your card to enter malfunctions. Anybody can walk right in.
One time there was an alarm going off inside the branch. Loud, in fact. I was in the area and observed that nobody tended to the alarm for a little over an hour. That’s disturbing.
Some positives are that it’s brightly lit and it’s in a PRIME location, which is why I’ll continue to come.
I’ve been banking with BoA since I opened up my first bank account and have had good experiences, but I wish they could improve on this location.
P. S. Why does it always feel like 100 degrees inside in the summer?

It’s lonely and it’s dirty, it’s B of A at it’s worst.
It’s possibly the loneliest bank of dual ATMs on the block and it’s always a mess whenever I duck in. They used to have garbage laying around the two ATMS all the time, mostly in the form of crumbled papers and overfill garbage cans. It’s muggy as hell in there during the summer time and practically unbearable for me.
One thing they do have going for themselves (and most BofA ATMS nowadays) is the automatic cash and check recognition slots. They seem to work well and help minimize the use of envelopes (while saving Mother Earth in the process). Another plus is that its always well-​lit here at night, a blessing given how shady the area can feel at times.

They really need more saturation in Queens, I’m glad this new location is now so conveniently close.
It’s strictly an ATM only location, however what kicks ass is the fact that it is brightly lit and clean, for those late night bank runs.
As well it has one of those über cool new machine’s that don’t need deposit envelopes. You just slide in your check or cash and voila it prints out a scanned image of what you just deposited on the receipt.
Yay for technology! No more paper wasting envelopes!
