Bleeding Image

The First time I went to bleeding image was last summer with a friend who was getting her nose redone. She had her piercing done by Venus that day.
I went back by myself some months later in the Winter to get a second set of earlobe piercings. These were my first piercings so I was nervous but Lisa made the experience very quick and painless. I didn’t even notice we were done. She was nice and professional and even gave me the name to a song that I now love and it’s one of my favorites :)
It’s been several months since I got my ears done and they have healed wonderfully without any complications :)
So, in September I returned to Bleeding Image once again to have my nose pierced. Lisa did my piercing and this time it hurt like a bitch but I followed her instructions and everything was smooth sailing. I’m following her online care instructions to a T and we’ll see in a month how it goes :))
I once again went back in November to get my Nipples pierced and my first tattoo. These were separate visits of course. Lisa did my piercings once again and she was great even though this time we had some trouble and had to repierce my right nipple some time later.
As for my first tattoo, Inquiring about it was simple. After I got my nipple re pierced I asked Lisa about her rate for tattoos and told her I was interested in getting one. We discussed my idea and I left a deposit and made an appointment for the week after :)
As for the procedure itself, it took a total of two hours to complete. Lisa’s skill with a tattoo gun is simply amazing! ^_​^ she was very professional and did everything with the utmost care and the tattoo came out beautiful :)
It’s been over four weeks and it healed wonderfully and with no complications whatsoever :)
So far, Bleeding Image will remain my go-​to place for any piercings and tattoos that I may have in the future :) I Love Lisa’s work and I hope to continue to have her be the person that tends to me during my visits.
I highly recommend browsing through the website and reading through it in advance so everyone knows what to expect and how to follow the recommended aftercare procedures. Make sure to have cash (it’s cash only) and make sure to call and ask to make sure that the jewelry you desire is available!!! When I got my nose pierced I wanted a micro nose ring so I called in to ask if that was available.
Tattoo payments are also cash only and a maximum deposit of $ 60 must be paid in order to get the proceedings started (sketching out the design and stuff).

Unilocalers, a place like this doesn’t even deserve 1 star.
My two friends got piercings here. Less than 6 weeks later both of them experienced pain and discomfort around the piercing. They went to separate parlors to have them looked at and both were told that the earrings used were not appropriate and should have never been used. They both had to remove the piercing.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the woman who runs this place is rude, mean and not educated in her field of business.
I guess they just have to be thankful it was a piercing she messed up and not a tattoo.

About a year ago I came here for an industrial piercing. Venus did an amazing job keeping me calm and getting it done quickly with minimal pain.
I cleaned it well, made sure not to overdo it, and 6 months later the top hole on my piercing began to migrate outward. After doing some research online, and having it examined by someone else who knows more about piercings than I do, I came to the conclusion that my ear cartilage was rejecting the stainless steel bar… a titanium barbell probably would have been best. Le sigh.
Being the paranoid Polly that I am, I didn’t want to remove it myself and risk infection so I went to Bleeding Image during operating hours one day to talk to someone… they were closed… it was like 3pm. Okay. I went back 3 times after that after calling a day before, the same day, leaving a voicemail, etc. 3 times they were closed while they should have been open…
Time number 4 they were actually open, huzzah! I explained my problem to the owner (I believe it was Lisa) and explained that I wanted to save the lower piercing since it wasn’t giving me problems. She wanted to charge me $ 5 to remove my barbell. REALLY?! I paid like $ 50 to get it done and you want to charge me to save one of the holes? Yeah, no thanks.
Between not being open during supposed business hours (with no warnings on their voicemail messages or website schedule) multiple times and the poor customer service I received after inquiring about a piercing I paid to get here, I can’t in my right conscious keep the 5 star review I wrote previously. Again, Venus Pain who did my piercing is an absolute doll and I would gladly work with her again… but whoever is running Bleeding Image needs to improve the customer service they provide post-​healing.
I ended up getting it fixed in a random piercing studio in Southington, Connecticut where the guy there charged me $ 0 to remove my barbell and pop a 14g labret stud into the lower hole I wanted to save. I tipped him of course, but it’s sad that I couldn’t get that kind of support from the place I actually got it done at.
For future piercings (there will definitely be more, lol) purposes, I would not return here or recommend it to anyone… I would recommend Venus though. This craptacular post-​piercing treatment here wasn’t her fault.

Lisa has created a masterpiece that I am honored to have on my skin forever. I’ve been going to her since I was 19 and she always treated me with great hospitality. If I didn’t eat a full meal before a long tattoo, she’d order food. She cares about getting to know you and your choice for a tattoo. I always enjoy coming to this shop. I’ve been to many shops and worked in a few. I understand the work load that comes with owning a successful shop in New York. Lisa is the most hardest working woman I know. If she’s stern or provides tough sincere advice, it’s because Piercings and tattoos arnt something to fuck around with. You can go to a shop that’ll do shitty piercings or tattoos your way for real cheap and see how those come out. This clean professional charismatic shop earns nothing short of 5 stars.

Had art work, touch up and pierced here. Very professional **knows her shit** (excuse the French) and clean environment. Explained how to tend and maintain. But since I was a nubee I guess I did something wrong or maybe it was slight adverse reaction to the metal regardless of the case I went back to the young lady who works there/​owns the shop and she tended it also told me if I had any other issues to return. Decent prices. So I do recommend to others and will return.

I absolutely love this shop and the work that Lisa does is amazing. I think her portfolio speaks for itself honestly. I always recommend people here and I have never had a problem with any of my tattoos or piercings from Lisa. I really have a hard time believing some of the negative post I’ve seen on here. I think some people forget to respect the time and work that goes into the drawing and pre-​tattoo process. Also if you’re going to get a piercing you should be aware of the jewelry you’re looking to get and how to clean it. People should be treating tattoos and piercings with a bit more care than to just walk in and pick something off the wall. Quality is a priority and you get that here.

One month after I had this unpleasant experience in the shop and got the forward helix piercing, I had to take it off because there is blood blister around the piercing area. I googled online and found out blood blister most likely is in a result of the wrong size and material of the ring. I had a hook when I got this piercing.
I went to the professional shop in east village and confirmed its because the hook ring. It is not recommended to have a hook on a fresh piercing because it’s easy to get infection and other complications. I had to spend another $ 70 to get it done and went through all the pain again.
This place and the owner of this Bleeding Image is ridiculous. I hope they go out of business soon because they are so horrible that I can’t even find a word to describe.
Stay away from this shop!

Lisa is a patient and wonderful artist. I messaged her 2 years ago about my ideas for my tattoo. I am definitely an annoying client that goes back and forth and then delay the appointment because lack of funds. Finally 2 yrs later I’m at her shop during our consultation and she remembers my messages and sketched out my wonderful idea and added her artistry and gave me wonderful tattoos. She’s amazing and I’m hustling up ideas so I can see her again! She is worth every penny!

Mr. Beans came highly recommended. I decided to test the waters by having restoration work done and got a consultation while He did the repair work. I’m a Man of few words and can only say this guy is Awesome and I look forward to a lot more work in the future ! For those of You that need piercing (s) the cute petite owner Lisa seems to be the Go To. And the jewelry in the display vitrine actually looks appetizing ! Be aware they only take cash but who cares ??

All of my tattoos have been done by Lisa and she has always collaborated with me to come up with amazing ideas for each piece. She is truly an artist and always attentive to detail and quality service. Always a customer and I can’t wait to finish my piece ASAP!

I called mid-​day on a Saturday and the girl who answered (lisa) said she was doing someone but was going to be done in a few hours and to come in later. I came 8:30 keep in mind they close at 9. Lisa was really helpful with helping me out with my tattoo, I didn’t feel any pressure or being rushed since it was so close to closing. Matter of fact I didn’t leave until close to 10. While in the process of doing my tattoo I talked about an idea I have for something else and right off the bat she understood what I wanted. Going back in 2 weeks for a custom design. Super pleased with her work and she even touched up an old tattoo I had. I was happy with pricing too! All around this place is great, clean & professional. I think it’s going to be the place I always go to!

These guys are legit classy. The shop is well designed. The chick who owns the place is really young, and super hot I might ad. She does sick work also. The guy who tatted me is named Anthoney and he’s awesome! He drew me a custom piece that incorporated another piece I already had. He had to hand draw it on me before tatting it. He didn’t charge me for the draw time.
He did a really great job overall and was really flexible about setting up the next appointment. These guys don’t play and it’s really comfortable place to get inked. I highly recommend Anthoney, though the other girl never tatted me she did a friends piece and it’s sick.

Bleeding Image gives off a totally private vibe as soon as you grab the door handle. Heavy curtains cover the public windows so that no one can see the inside — which I totally love n’ appreciate. I strolled in to get my cartilage piercing and was tended to by a woman named Venus. The piercing itself was $ 30, jewelry is included. I signed the consent forms and she let me pick out the jewelry that I’d like most. You have a free choice between hoops, barbells, etc… totally cool. I took a seat and must admit, I analyzed how well she cleaned everything. She did a great job and was totally nice to me. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because Venus was constantly talking to a coworker while she was piercing me. I don’t know, I’m just a customer who likes to be the center of attention when I get a new piercing or tattoo. For piercings, I’d go again!

I have been wanting to get a rainbow pride piece for some time and I found Lisa through admiring a chest piece that my co-​worker had. We set up an appointment rather quickly and we did both the consultation and work in the same session. I now am the PROUD owner of a beautiful peacock feather dipped into rainbow ink and everyone loves the work!!! I will absolutely be coming back to Lisa to start sleeving my piece and adding more to this beautiful work!!! Prices are reasonable and it’s easy for me to get to from work.
Also I have to mention that I was very impressed about how thoroughly clean the tattoo procedure was. Everything was fresh, new gloves were always used and attention to detail was on point! I just can’t wait til this heals up and I can get more work done!

Wow, Lisa is AMAZING. Not only did my tattoo come out superb she fixed one that was a crappy job from 5 years ago making them both awesome. Her hand is so steady its unbelievable. Plus, she’s an absolute doll. I’ll never go anywhere else ever again.

Greeted with a smile when I walked in, Lisa and Barbara were very helpful in making my tattoo experience a lot easier. I came to Lisa with an idea of what I wanted and we were able to create something I was very happy with. Some sketch work was needed so I had to leave a deposit for my work and we set up an appointment for the following week since she was waiting on an appointment when I came in. A week later she gave me exactly what I wanted with room for modification if needed. I was very happy with what she came up with and we got to work almost right away.
The piece came out incredible and healed up beautifully. I’ve had work done all over Queens but I think I have found my artist for future work. I love her work so much that we’re in the process of working on my next piece which will probably get started in the next two weeks or so.
The studio is beautifully decorated with pieces painted by the ladies of the shop and I love the touch the electric guitar on the wall adds. A wide variety of body jewelry greets you at the door in their showcase. I’m not really big on piercings but they have many options. Enough to actually get me to have Barbara pierce my septum, something I’ve considered for years but never really got until I came to this shop.
The ladies are friendly and the shop is very welcoming. The shop is an open studio so there are no booths or private rooms, but has huge curtains at the front of the shop that can easily add to the privacy for any clients who require it as well. I am pleased to say I would definitely (as stated above) do business with Bleeding Image again and highly recommend and refer anyone who askes me about shops, to this establishment.
The only downside if you want to consider it that is the cash only policy but it’s not a bad thing if you really think about it.
