I absolutely love this place. The tailor does AMAZING work. My fiancé and I have been patronizing this establishment for about 4 – 5 years now and hope to never have to go anywhere else. We recently took 3 men’s shirts to her that basically needed to become new shirts; shorten the sleeves, cut from under the arm right down the entire length of the shirt and the quality of work was impeccable. I refuse to take clothing that needs to be altered to any other place.

The tailors here have always expertly taken care of my clothes. I have taken many intricate expensive outfits there and they have worked magic. I I even brought my Indian clothes that are covered in gold and stones and she treats my clothes so great. I always get them back on time if not early. They are pricey but I could care less for top notch quality. I highly recommend for tailoring.

This is the best dry cleaning that I have found in Astoria. I had tried other places that didn’t get my clothes nearly as clean in twice the amount of time. There have been several occasions where my garment is ready the next day and it looks perfect. Good prices also ($ 7.50 for a blazer).

I am getting married in a few weeks and wanted a top that had a low scoop back to go with my wedding skirt, but that also had an underlining top that would give enough support so I would not have to wear a bra.
So I brought to Nikki two separate tops, one an undershirt and one an over shirt, and requested that they be combined. It was a little complicated because I wanted the undershirts scoop back to match the shirt that was going to be on top (this top had a normal all around neckline) — so that needed to be cut to match.
The first time I went back, the top was on the hanger so that both pieces were attached at the shoulder, as we agreed, but turned inside out — they were not placed on the hanger how I would be wearing it. I couldn’t figure out how to put it on (I think the straps where they were attached were twisted?) so I brought out to the son (Nikki was not there) and after about 10 mins of turning it this way and that way, he couldn’t figure it out either. He had just finished telling me that he had been in the business for 15 years — now, with that kind of experience, I would think he would have been able to figure out how to make the top wearable? I also noticed that the front neckline of the undershirt was much, much lower than the original neckline (this barely covered my nipples) and I pointed this out to him as well. So he tells me, come back tomorrow, we will fix it.
I come back the next day, Nikki is there. She says, something like, ‘my son says it was mistake, but no mistake, its fine.’ Um, okay, then why couldn’t your son with 15 years experience in the garment industry figure out how to turn my top right side out? I’m beginning to sense a bit of defensiveness. I hate this and it made me feel uncomfortable and that I could not be honest with her if I was unhappy because she would just argue with me. But, me being a push over said, okay fine. So I try the top on. Now the fabric where the shoulder seam is, is incredibly loose, and is a good inch or so above my shoulder. Niki says that will have to be taken in.
Okay, third trip back. I put on the top and the part of the shoulders she had to take in now has a fold over crease on the top of both sleeves. She never told me that it would look like that. What once was a beautiful seamless sleeve, now had this random 4 inch crease that starts at the top shoulder seam and runs down the sleeve. And, now the kicker — I mention to her that the under shirt’s neckline is much lower than what she had originally pinned and we had agreed upon. She said, ‘No, that is how you gave it to me.’ I was just in shock. I knew either she had the worst memory in the world or she was flat out lying so that she would get paid for the hack job services that were provided. I was so fed up with the whole thing and just wanted this experience to end, so I paid her the $ 60 and left.
When I got home I asked my sister to show me a picture she had taken of me wearing the original under top — the neckline was a good 5 inches higher than the neckline that Nikki claimed was the original neckline. UGH.
Okay, bottom line, and the life lesson I learned from this whole disaster — go to a seamstress/​tailor who pins the garment AND does the alterations — in other words, they need to be the same person. What happens here is NIkki pins, and her husband is doing the cutting/​sowing/​alterations. I also learned do not go here for complicated alterations.
I’m out $ 60, not to mention the cost of the two original tops and the stress I experienced during an already stressful time. To cope, I am reminding myself that this is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. I’m still getting married to the love of my life and its going to be a great wedding day. I’m just trying to give the next bride-​to-​be (or anybody wanting to go here for more advanced alterations) some advice so that he/​she does not end up in the same frustrating predicament.

I wish there was a zero stars option. A few years ago I dropped off a sweater — a nice, warm, wool roll neck that was irreplaceable. When I got it back and took it off the hanger that it was neatly over, there was a huge — and I mean huge — gash across the front, as if someone had taken a razor and slashed it. Did they think I wouldn’t notice this? They had to have seen it, it was on the side folded over the hanger. They made no mention at pick up, instead seemingly trying to hide it. I haven’t gone back since.

Great work. They are able to do what other cleaners will just say no. From shirts to wedding dresses to uniforms. A bit pricey thou for alterations but very good work and cleaning.

This place saved my favorite coat! Where other dry cleaners had failed!
I have a favorite silk blend expensive cream colored coat on which I had spilled some red wine or something. I took the coat to a cleaner near my house and they weren’t able to get the substantial stain out. Dismayed, I kept the coat in the back of my closet until spring came around again and decided to try my luck with these cleaners. The very nice lady at the counter said «no problem, that’s what we do» and handed me back my coat, stain completely gone. The coat looks brand new– the place where the stain was is completely the same color as the rest of the coat; no change in material. Looks fab. I’m so happy to have found this place. I’ve brought another jacket to fix and had several belt loops repaired.

This is a great business in our 30^th Avenue community. The owner and her friends are lovely, understanding people. They have cleaned everything and anything I have brought to them without batting an eyelash (let your imagination run wild, I have an old dog… sofa covers, feather pillows, you name it!). Their prices are also quite reasonable and they are so kind. Once I had a milkshake spilled on my winter coat at dinner and brought it to them immediately, right before they closed. I asked her when I should pick it up and they said the next morning. I said not to worry, I knew it was too late at night. But the owner wouldn’t take no for an answer and said it was no extra charge, that it was too cold to be without my heavy coat for even a day.
I also happen to think she has a great tailor. Fixed up an old coat of mine with better lining and pockets than it originally came with!

I’m trying to be fair w/​my review even though I kind of want to give them less than 3 stars.
Let’s start w/​I got totally ripped off. A scarf/​pashmina cost $ 5 and a dress cost $ 15. Maybe it’s just me, but that’s a lot, right? So I didn’t realize it until I left. The Greek woman behind the counter wrote up a receipt so fast. I needed stuff cleaned so I let it go but I won’t be back. Too expensive.
In all fairness to them, they did a good job. And everything did not smell like chemicals. It was a faint smell of a perfume like scent. Nothing bad or intolerable.
When I came to p/​u my clothes though, I looked at the prices hidden behind plants on the wall to the left of the register. I saw shirts cost less than a scarf, so I asked. The original woman was fine. She explained it was wool so it costs more. But this other old lady popped up and was all rude and said you have a choice, you know. Really? :P

Super nice people, but they’re quite expensive (definitely more than the market value), and didn’t really do a great job. I mean, it wasn’t terrible, but it was just barely acceptable.

I picked up a very expensive coat and got about halfway down the block before I realized ALL THE BUTTONS HAD FALLEN OFF THE COAT. Thanks for telling me, check-​out guy! I IMMEDIATELY returned and the guy hoed and hummed and was relatively apologetic about it. But I had to argue with him to get a refund on the dry cleaning. The owner did call me a few days later and left me a voicemail — I ended up buying similar buttons and sewing them back on myself, though. I just couldn’t be bothered w/​going round and round with them again.
I’m giving them 2 stars b/​c their follow-​up to the problem was okay. But this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. But when it did, they should have called to tell me, or at the VERY least told me when I picked it up.
I’m not spending 20 minutes trying to get my $ 15 button money refunded, but this situation was enough to ensure that i do NOT use this cleaner anymore.

I LOVE this drycleaner. I have been taking my cleaning and alterations there for about 15 years, ever since they opened. Owner Nikki and son Perry are awesome as are the others who work there. The turnaround time is amazing and the tailoring is high quality. They have cleaned vomit (not mine) off my favorite coat after new years, altered my daughter’s school uniforms and halloween costumes, and everything in between you can image. The prices are reasonable as well!

So far the only place I have found in Astoria that does 1 hr and short notice dry cleaning. The woman who helped me was very sweet and seemed to be extremely knowledgeable and organized. My husbands tuxedo suit and shirt were in pristine condition in less than 24 hours. Their prices are also very reasonable, so I will go there next time with my dry cleaning.

Sometimes they do great work. Other times they do shitty work. The problem is the turnaround. Yes, having a fast turn-​around is great, but they go too fast and often sacrifice quality. You can see the people in the back rushing through the clothes.
All of my shirts have been fine, but my pants were burned where they ironed them. The areas around the pockets and the belt were the worst because they are thicker and have material underneath (on the inside).
It’s awkward checking your clothes before you pay because they have them wrapped so tightly. I wonder if other people take them out of the plastic before they pay…

first of all, these guys are complete A-​HOLES! they’re rude and impatient and don’t want to answer any questions over the phone. i had a long down coat i needed to get dry cleaned because someone dropped something on me in a fish market and it reeked! and i was leaving that night for christmas, so i had to have it done the same day. and since i’m 8 months pregnant and it’s 32* outside, i’m not just going to tromp around all over astoria looking for a dry cleaners, i’m going to call first. so i call this guy and who claimed he was same day, but didn’t want to tell me a time i could pick it up (well, i need to know, because i’m leaving). then he said «it just depends on what it is», so i told him what it it was and then he kept saying «i need to see it». i mean, what’s there to see?! i told him what it was, it’s a standard coat you see like that all over new york city! finally he said «okay, tomorrow then!» (okay, that’s not the SAME day!!), which obviously i can’t do. so he finally he snapped «FINE» and told me to bring it by 10a to have it back by 5p that day. so i said okay i’d bring it right over and if he could just tell me how much they charge for something like that (so i had clear expectations), but then he refused to give me an estimate of how much it would cost! why?!! i just wanted a freaking ball park. $ 20? $ 50? he continued to say he can’t do that over the phone and then just hung up on me! if i wasn’t so desperate, i wouldn’t have even taken it over, but i called several other places around here after he had hung up on me and no one else was doing same day, so i was pretty much trapped. so i found all sorts of other crap to bundle myself up in since i only have this one coat that actually fits my tummy that i’m giving him, and i trekked all the way over there just to hear him say… «oh no, we don’t do same day for down coats.» are you kidding me?! i told you over the phone 10 minutes earlier it was a big down coat!!!
i obviously can’t speak to cleaning quality, turn around time, or price, but based on pure customer service alone, these guys are HORRIBLE and should get a negative rating.

Incredibly disappointing and unprofessional! I had a dress altered here for a wedding and was measured by the owner. I had lost 30 lbs and now the dress was too loose on me. Apparently she didn’t measure right because when I came back to try it on again, the dress wouldn’t even zip up! She told me she would let some of it out and fix it. I was frustrated but came back the next day to try it on again. To my surprise, it STILL wouldn’t zip up! Keep in mind this was a week ago when I was first in the shop so it’s not like I put on 20 lbs-​all my clothes still fit the same!
Finally, I had to come back late at night in my PJs to try it on one last time and it barely fit. The shop owner kept insisting she «wasn’t lying”-I never said she did-​and then suggested that I had done something wrong! She still charged me $ 100 for the dress! Oooooh it gets worse…
When I got to the wedding, I tried on my dress right before we were all going to the church and it was TOO BIG!!! I had to keep hiking it up throughout the night! Also, the hem eventually fell out of the bottom of it and I was tripping over it on the dance floor.
TOTAL DISASTER and I DO NOT recommend this place!!!

Over the last few years, I’ve moved a few times within Astoria and have yet to find another dry cleaner I trust my clothes with. Thank goodness they started offering pick-​up and drop-​off service; the inconvenience of getting my stuff there was beginning to wear thin.
Their prices are similar to what I pay in Manhattan for organic dry-​cleaning methods but I’m not going to quibble. It costs a lot more to have fine clothing ruined. Nothing worse than discovering your favorite suit now has the shiny sheen of Willy Loman’s.
The owner is lovely and her son is a good guy. Truly hardworking people — this business is a great asset to the community.

They are cheaper than most cleaners in the area actually. Their turnaround time is superhuman. It’s the best dry cleaner I’ve ever been to. Great family, I love supporting this business. Such incredible service!!!
