I had a great experience buying window treatments for our new apartment. We were in a hurry, we had guests coming and for both privacy and the strong sunlight our apartment gets we needed to do something fast. The saleswomen looked at pictures on my phone of colors and helped my find something fashionable. I asked about blinds and they said they could come to my place and have a look, but the curtains should help in the short term. I installed the curtain rods. A few days later Rob the manager came himself, and took measurements. A week later we had blinds. It wasn’t cheap but well worth it, it really made our place look great.

It goes without saying that fantasies will often vary from person to person, and this store is a poignant example.
For instance, if your fantasy involves a hyper-​insistent Indian man following you around a cramped store pushing a hard sell on every single item you make the mistake of glancing at, get ready to be pleased beyond all reason.
Or perhaps you fantasize about shiny gold curtains with plastic beads dangling from them, a plastic shower curtain with pink roses on it or a curtain rod that a middle-​aged single accountant might purchase? All of these fantasies can and will be realized at Fantasy Curtain.
Unfortunately, in my fantasies, our home environment doesn’t look like a college dorm, a disturbed loner’s house, your grandmother’s guest bathroom or a prostitute-​friendly motel lobby. For this reason, my fantasies were, sadly, unfulfilled. Also, Keira Knightley does not work here…

This store has been in business in Astoria forever.
However, my memories here aren’t so favorable.
I’ve tried to shop here a few times over the years. Now, this place does have some cute merchandise, but it’s way too expensive for the neighborhood.
On top of that, sales ladies used to follow me around like a hawk. As if I was gonna steal.
Please. First of all, I’m not a thief. Even if I was, I wouldn’t give you the satisfaction stealing from you.

Not awful. I bought a pillow there, a pillow cover, some bedsheets, and a scale. The scale was $ 15 and utter crap. Inaccurate. The bedsheets were, eh, bedsheets, not incredibly expensive ($ 35, from their sale section). The pillow cover ripped within a week, I’m not sure how.
Overall, this is an okay store, but rather expensive for the sometimes shabby goods.
