This salon is such a gem! The staff is sweet. The spa is clean. Anna did a wonderful job on my nails. In and out no wait. And the prices are great! Totally going back.

By far the best and most underrated nail salon in Astoria. So polite, service is ideal. Manipedis are here are so relaxing. The ladies are attentive, thorough, and so kind. The complementary massage lasts longer than other places. Afterward you can go to Café Noisette for a black and white or Café Espresso for a latte.

Friendly service, clean and decently priced. After seeing perfect reviews, I decided to give it a try. Much to my disappointment. My pedicure hurt!!! Another lady did my nails. I wanted acrylic tips. They are uneven and I still have glue stuck in my skin. I didn’t even bother getting polish as I’m going to have to file and even my nails out myself. I wanted to be a loyal customer but no luck. Won’t be returning.

Nice little place with warm and friendly staff, hidden in the middle of the block off Steinway and on Astoria Blvd. Most clients are walk-ins, so no need to make an appointment if you do not mind waiting for a few minutes, as they are accommodating. I went for a regular pedicure with an appointment. Nice and neat job. Excellent foot massage, no cuts, scrapes or bruises(you should not be getting those anyway and if you do, never go back) and out in an hour. The prices are good.

I am a loyal potala client, however on day 3 of a juice cleanse last Saturday I found myself with little patience left. The wait was over 30 minutes at potala, there were children running all over, there wasn’t even a place to sit. I was too cranky to deal. I remembered that my friend had told me about a new place on Astoria Blvd that’s near both our apartments. I walked in, and you can def tell it is new. Their security TV still has the plastic on it, there is still some tape up from being freshly painted. I saw this as a good thing, new translates to CLEAN! There are only a few technicians there since they are new. But they are so sweet and hardworking. I only waited a few minutes. There was a child in here briefly, I think the daughter of the owner, and she was the most well behaved child ever. I actually liked that she was there bc it means this is a family owned place and I like giving families business. As for my nails? I got a gel mani and regular pedicure. It was impeccable. She did a great job. The prices cannot be beat. I do wish they were open a little bit later in the week but I will def be back!

I live nearby and stumbled upon Karina’s while looking for nail salons in the area. I was a bit hesitant going in(since I’ve never heard of the place and it hadn’t received any Unilocal reviews as of yet) but I thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did! Mani-pedi for 20 bucks(on a Saturday!?) and for an extra 10 dollars, I enjoyed a 10 minute foot massage complete with hot stones. I am now a customer for life(or as long as I’m close enough to get there!)
