New Enrico’s Car Service

I’ve used New Enrico for several years now and they have always been great. They have been on time (even early), their cars are clean, and their drivers courteous.
However, a few weeks ago I scheduled a pickup at 4am (I had a very early meeting) and no one ever showed up. I ended up being late to my meeting.
I called New Enrico and they said they had no record of my reservation in the system and there was nothing they could do. I’m very disappointed in their customer service.
They were previously 5-​stars in my book. Now I think I will look for another car service… :(

I’ve always used New Enricos but lately I can’t get a car on Astoria or the wait is about 30minutes. Not sure what is going on with them as there service in the past was always fast, safe and reliable. Disappointed!

I used to use New Enricos, but my last experience was terrible. The driver was 15 minutes late picking me up, he didn’t get out of his car at my apartment or at the airport to help me with my luggage, and I was struggling with large bags, and I asked him to take me to Terminal C, but he took me to Terminal B.
Then when I tried to contact the manager Freddie about this driver, he never responded to my emails or calls. It was terrible Service. I think Ecua car service is $ 3 cheaper to take you to the airport anyway. I’m definitely switching to a new car service. I advise you not to ride with Enrico’s.

I use this service every time I travel to the airport (about 3 years) and the driver is always on time (if not a bit early). I typically fly either really early (5 – 6 AM) or late (9−10PM) and I’ve never had any problems — the driver even emails me my receipt to I can provide it as a business expense.

I used to use Enrico’s all the time. And to put that in context, I have used them regularly (3 – 10 times/​week) since 1996.
In the past 6 to 8 months, as evidenced by multiple other reviews here, they’ve gone completely down the tubes. You can never get a human when you call, it either goes straight to voicemail or you’re put on an endless hold loop, when you do actually get a human being (I’ve only gotten one in about the past three months) their system, which used to recognize via your phone number your frequent destinations and your typical pickup location, never ever seems to work anymore, so you have to always provide complete information, etc.
Ultimately it’s a very disappointing development, since I’ve used them and relied on their clean, well kept cars, reliable, friendly drivers, and ability to get you quickly from point A to point B, for so so many years.
But as evidenced by their recent inability to deliver service, and, again, the multiple other reviews testifying to this, I can no longer recommend Enrico’s.

I don’t know if this is a fair rating or not, so please, New Enrico’s, correct me if I’m wrong about you guys so I can change the rating and the review– but I thought you guys were a cab service?
Maybe they only do scheduled limo rides or something, I don’t know.
But I called this place the other day to take me somewhere, and they just blatantly said «We don’t have any cabs right now.»
I remember them doing that to me last time, too.
What the heck, dude?

New Enrico’s used to be my go-​to car service for queens– especially when traveling to/​from LGA or JFK.
For the past year or so, their service has gone downhill. For one thing, more than half the time I call, the call goes to voicemail. When I finally get a human, they always ask for all my contact info– before, they had a system that would store info with my phone number. So annoying.
Finally, several times recently, theyve failed to have a driver and car for me at the airport in a timely manner.
Cannot recommend. And frustrated because they used to be better.

If you value your life do NOT use their car service. I used their car service a few months ago and I seriously regret it. I needed to go from Astoria to Brooklyn in an emergency situation and the driver they assigned had no clue what he was doing. Since it was an emergency and only had an address I was not knowledgable of the neighborhood myself and really couldn’t help. For most of the ride the driver kept banging on the steering wheel screaming obscenities in Spanish and getting extremely frustrated. He called up the dispatcher to get information on where to go and not even he knew what to do. As he drove on he became more angry. I got scared and told him to drop me off by a 24 hour center which happened to be in Bed sty. which isn’t the best neighborhood. He asked for $ 20 bucks and I stupidly gave it to him because at that point I just was appalled and scared.
I did contact the owner of the company his excuse was «he’s a new driver. he doesn’t know the Brooklyn area». I will never use this car service again.
I really hope that this company fired that driver and changed their ways. extremely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never use this service again.

I’ve only used New Enrico’s to head to the airports in the past 4+ years and they have always been reliable. I usually take early flights so I call ahead the night before to schedule a pick up. They know my address (must be linked to my phone number) and it takes less than 1 minute to schedule. The car is always there waiting when I come out of my building — the cars have been very clean and the driver friendly helping me with my luggage.
For a car service, they’ve been reliable and I’ve never had a problem.

Sorry New Enrico’s, you have completely gone down the drain. I used to use this service all the time. Then, over the course of the past six months, service went way down. 1) My then fiancé and I were travelling with 2 other family members to Newark airport from Astoria to catch an early morning international flight for our destination wedding. The driver showed up on time however, despite my making clear that we would need help with bags on the phone, grumbled out loud and made obnoxious comments to my family members about assisting with the bags. We made clear we were going to tip him for his help but he still blatantly practically cursed us from the front seat over the course of our drive. After we arrive, he tries to up sell us and straight up lies to us about the price — this is after I made several calls to confirm same with the dispatcher before the day of the trip. He started yelling at my fiancé and made a scene at the drop off. Lovely way to start our trip. We called dispatch, reconfirmed the original price we were quoted and gave them notice of their terrible driver. Apologies abounded.
We did not use them again in the following months until we stupidly tried to use them again yesterday. I called the dispatcher at 9:30 am to set up a pickup for an elderly family member to be picked up on Roosevelt Island and brought to my apartment in Astoria. They confirmed on the phone then they NEVER SHOWED UP! Leaving my elderly relative standing in the cold outside for an hour and a half! I called over and over the entire time to see where they were and the line went straight to voicemail. I am disgusted by the unprofessionalism. This is no way to run a business. NEVER AGAIN!

Usually very dependable and fast. One time they didn’t answer the phone so I had to call Olympic. Overall, the best service I have had in the area and always bullet-​fast on time and no mistakes.

I have used this car service for years and never had an issue until tonight. They were supposed to pick me up at 9:45pm. The time came and went and nothing from them. Tried to call them 7 times just to go directly to voicemail. I’m going with Olympic, perhaps they will be more professional.

Twice now they haven’t shown up AT ALL; once on an early morning pickup to go to the airport, and again tonight around 11 pm. The dispatcher doesn’t know what’s going on, couldn’t say where the car was, and couldn’t contact the car at all.
After calling back twice more to ask where the car was, THEY PUT ME STRAIGHT TO VOICE MAIL. I called back twice more and the same thing happened. Who actually does that?
If you actually need to be somewhere, I would advise you to use a professional car service. New Enrico’s is certainly not that.
We ended up calling Olympic, and they were there in 10 minutes. And even made a courtesy call notifying us that they were almost there. It was 3 bucks more, but after an hour of waiting by the curb with no information, it’s TOTALLY worth it…

These guys used to be great, but the past six months they’ve really gone downhill. Now, I’ll never use them again. They ALWAYS arrive late, and nearly made me late to a job interview as a consequence. In these winter months I started asking them to call me when they’re downstairs, since I don’t want to wait the 20 minutes or whenever they feel like showing up on the curb in below freezing temperatures. The person at the call center always assures me they will, and the never, ever do. So I end up having to run down the stairs to peer through the door and see if they’ve appeared outside. And again, usually, they are late, so I end up having to call more than once to find out where the driver actually is. No more. I’m finding a new car service.

Ordered a pick up to go from Forest Hills to Lower East Side, when another company who had 4 starts rating told me for the same trip: «Is going to be $ 85,00 with the trip included» and my thought was, well thank god the trip is included, New Enrico’s would charge me $ 40 instead.
Polite and good service.

We’ve used them 6 or 8 times.
They come, at BEST, 2 or 3 minutes late — never on time.
They’ve gotten my address wrong three consecutive times (mixed up the ‘street’ as an ‘ave’) and tried to make it seem like it was my fault.
The prices have recently gone up.
After recently being charged 10 $ for a ride that was a few minutes long and inside of our neighborhood, I’ll never use them again.

Professional service. No questions, driver was polite and quiet.
Highly recommended.

These guys are great. Had a 6:30am flight to catch at LGA, so I called the night before and made a 4:45 reservation. They quoted me $ 20 from Sunnyside, which is very reasonable.
The next morning, my driver showed up early in a large, comfortable black Lincoln. He was kind and courteous and asked which way I’d like to go to the airport. I let him choose, and less than 15 minutes later, I arrived. He shook my hand, wished me well, and went on his way.
Overall a wonderful experience. I will use these guys again!

It was post Hurricane Sandy and the subways had not opened and gas lines were long. Getting anywhere was a problem and I had no other choice but to call for a car to take me to the airport. Car services were booking quickly and it took 4 calls to find a car available. Allowing plenty of time for the unforeseen, the driver arrived 10 minutes early in a shiny clean car to my astonishment.
As we drove, the driver (competing for a land speed record) was mumbling something that I thought was directed to me but in hindsight I think he was talking to someone via cell or radio. I’m sure his occasional grunting was intended for me but communication was at a minimum.
We arrived at JFK in record time and I was relieved to exit the car in one piece and with plenty of time to kill at the airport. Under normal circumstances I would give this experience 3 stars but I was so grateful to get out of town and for an uneventful ride to the airport that I upped it a star. I’d give them another try if needed the next hurricane.

When parting from one end of town to another due to sheer utter exhaustion with the added induction of two small glasses of wine, a friend was unable to drive me home. Yet New Enrico’s Car Service quoted a flat fare of $ 29.00 with my very specific directions whom the driver was able, ready, and willing in English to follow through entirely. The driver is aware of the major highways I stated who, without question, was able to connect to the next interstate highway or major road to make my final destination. My ride was smooth which I briefly shut my eyes. The car is clean and thankfully smoke-​free odorless.
New Enrico’s Car Service is one of the better livery cab service I’ve encounter.
