Came here at night for a gyro, got lazy and didn’t feel like going to BZ grill. Big Mistake, why settle for average when I could have had amazing. Price of being lazy… I got a pork gyro sandwich with everything. It wasn’t the best one i’ve ever had, it wasn’t the worst one, it was average. I didn’t care for the meat as much, it tasted very bland to me. The yogurt sauce was ok, they didnt really put much on my gyro and the other toppings were average. Service was quick as I got my gyro in under 5 mins since it was to go. I will try more next visit if I decide to go back. In all honesty it was closer 2.5 stars then 3. I wont be in a rush to head back.

I don’t know why so many complaints. I’m Greek and this place has very good food! It’s up there with the top Greek eateries in Astoria. The reviewer that said Opa Opa was better is out of her mind! I had the pork souvlaki platter that comes with 2 juicy well cooked yet tender souvlaki which melt in your mouth lemon potatoes and perfect tzatziki sauce. Not too strong not watered down. Just right! Hot and toasty pita slices to complement the platter. My gf got the Greek pandesia salad which was so large she had to take the rest home. Even my pork souvlaki was enough to take home if I wasn’t so hungry. It was so tasty and to die for! So it’s a little pricier than other spots, but the portions are worth it and it tastes great. They even have like 4 different greek beers that you can’t find at other Greek restaurants. The décor of the place is cool. I don’t care what the reviewer said it looks like a dental place haha what a malaka! This is contemporary souvlaki place. If you go to Athens, Greece you will find spots that look like this place and you will find old school souvlaki joints that the older folks like to go to. The waitress that day was ok. She could use some help then again I can tell English is not her first language. It’s ok. I will come here again!

Food really was subpar. Had high expectations for it. But even street food is exponentially better. Woke up in the middle of the night after eating dinner there feeling terrible. It all came back out. It was a miserable night.

Me thinks they think they are in Greece!!! Such disarray and confusion. Everybody walks around aimlessly. As if they are expecting Zeus to strike them with lightning and give them direction. And the gyro is so unspectacular. Wish I could say something positive about this place but there really is nothing positive. Also, turn down those lights… coming in for a bite not surgery!!! WTF… how can Astoria not have a good gyro???

The food here is decent, better than you average cart, for sure. However, management needs to improve their communication skills and promote consistency between menus. I went there today and when I inquired about the«dine-in special»(Yeero + Fries + Soda for $ 9.95) I was told that they were not offering that today. When I asked, «Okay so do you do it on other days?», the server responded, «Just not now». Helpful. The lamb sandwich, which I’ve taken out before, is flavorful The quality of the meat and the seasonings are better than comparable sandwiches from any of the takeout places on 30th Ave. like Pita Pan. And for $ 9, it better be. When I received the check today, I noticed that it was a dollar more than the price listed on the menu board as well as the paper menu. When I asked why it was more expensive, I was told that I «looked at the wrong menu». What? Does the giant board on the wall that I was looking at when I ordered it not designate the price as $ 7.95? Well I guess«today» that wasn’t the case either. Considering I paid $ 15 for a sandwich and a diet coke, I am not rushing to go back anytime soon. This restaurant has a lot working against it. First let’s talk about the lights which are on par with something out of a sci-fi alien abduction scene. Holy shit, y’all need some new lights. Is it quick service, or is it a sit-down restaurant? If management is going to charge people more just for eating in, and be selective about to whom they offer specials, they are probably better off focusing on a take-out clientele. That said, it’s going to have to be less expensive to attract the 30th Ave. crowd.

The food was OK. Nothing extra special and I’ve definitely had better but I would eat it again — under different circumstances. My main issue is with the management decisions that led to my dismal dinner experience about 15 minutes ago. I ordered pita, salad and yoghurt on GrubHub. I’m staying in a big hotel beside an expressway so when the GrubHub website listed the wrong address(on the OTHER side of the expressway) for my location I had no idea that had happened. The driver called me about 15 minutes after I ordered and I think he was telling me that he had arrived so I went down to meet him and no one was there. After three more phone calls I where I could literally not understand more than two words I gave up and went back upstairs. The restaurant called me and explained the guy was at some other location. OK, the location thing got sorted out so now the food was really on its way. Yay! Three minutes later the guy is downstairs. I notice he has on a motorcycle helmet and my hot dinner is in a brown paper bag. Not good. Sure enough, my food is cold. The temperature out there tonight is 44 degrees. What kind of idiot sends hot food out into the cold ON A MOTORCYCLE? Don’t you have some kind of technology to keep my dinner warm? If I had ordered from Dominoes the food would be disgusting but at least it would be warm. So while I might eat at this place again if I was hungry and just happened to be driving by I’ll do just about anything else before I GrubHub it. My recommendations to the restaurant:(1) If you are going to use a delivery service it is just common sense to keep the food warm in transit.(2) I don’t have any grudge against immigrants, non-English speakers, etc. I know they need jobs and I certainly welcome them here. That said, sometimes basic English is invaluable for problem solving in the face of unexpected complications.(3) GrubHub isn’t the only delivery service out there. They made you look bad tonight so ditch them and use a service that cares enough to pay for up-to-date software. Cheeky text messages are no substitute for hot food.

I walked in here to buy a salad. I ordered the Greek Salad and paid 11 dollars. I was surprised on how fast it was ready. By the time I got home and opened it I realized the salad was prepared before hand because by the time I was getting to the end of the salad a lot of cucumbers and tomatoes were stale and not edible. If the salad was made the moment I ordered it it would be fresh but this was beyond fresh. It only had 3 cubes of feta cheese and drenched in oil and not balsamic vinegrette like the menu said. The salad looked really nice before I started eating it. I did not get my money’s worth. I will not be ordering salads from here again.

Decent. I won’t go back again, but I wouldn’t tell anyone not to go, either. This place is pricey. I spent 20 bucks on a spinach pie, a few triangle squares of pita with tzatziki, and a lemon Epsa drink. A few blocks away at Opa Opa, I can get the same thing plus lemon potatoes and a salad, and it’s tastier and a bigger portion. The tzatziki had a lot of oil in it, which I know is the authentic way, but I’m an Americanized Greek, so I’m not a fan of all that olive oil. My grandparents would probably love it, though. The spinach pie also had oil all over it??? And it wasn’t too tasty. The guy at the counter wasn’t too warm, but the waitresses seemed nice enough. She did close me out 10 minutes into my meal though, because she had to go. Luckily I was practically done, but I do feel like I should have had another waitress to take my order, if she knew her shift was practically over. What if I wanted dessert? A beer? More food? Meh. Unprofessional. There are a lot of better Greek places in the area, but they do seem authentic, so if you’re in for a true oily Greek experience, go here. They even play Greek music.

First time here. In the mood for Greek food. Hostess at the door very pleasant. What’s up with The lights?! Such bright lights! Kinda felt like I was walking into a clinic or a hospital. Just extremely too bright. Although, you won’t miss a thing not even a spot. Sat in the back dining area . Hmmm, I guess the bright white walls and a few photos i dont know just a little boring very plain… «kinda like Dry toast» Maybe they wanted to stick to the Greek Flag feel. Blue outside and white inside. Ook I see it. So, we ordered appetizer saganaki which is fried greek cheese floured then fried in olive oil. It was ok not bad. I would have left the cheese a little longer I prefer the cheese to be completely melted. It’s suppose to be melted but it was still good. . My boyfriend had chicken gyro platter which looked enjoyable. Came with a salad and fries and I wanna say a honey mustard dip I didn’t try it and neither did he. It looked good but I usually prefer tzaziki sauce on anything to do with Gyros. He looked extremely pleased with his meal. I had lamb and beef Gyro platter same thing minus the honey mustard dip. MINE came with tzaziki. Yummy! Meat had a lot of flavor wasn’t dry at all. I was pleased. Sevice was Very good. We both enjoyed it. Overall, enjoyable night good service food pretty good. I will return. Downside The lights just too much bright light.

Their Horiatiki Salad with feta, cucumbers, tomatoes, capers, olives with red onion was nice and flavorful and very refreshing to eat. We also ordered the pork and chicken skewers with tahini sauce with fresh pita bread made for a nice filling lunch. The chicken was nice a moist and juicy and cost about $ 4 a skewer. Next time I go I would love to try their daily specials that seem to change everytime that I go.

OK I have only ever gotten food to go so I don’t know what dining service like. I have ordered the skewers, the Greek salad, and the platter. My favorite is the skewers since they are about four dollars and a great addition to homemade salad. I’ve also ordered the Gyro which was really good as well. Every time I walk in I am greeted with great customer service and it seems like they’re going out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. Definitely recommend going there to get to go or delivery. One of the best Greek places around 30th Ave. in Astori.

Went there last night with my fiancé and had the platter for two. Definitely great! More than enough food for a good value… Also one of my favorite things from there is the homemade Greek yogurt with the blackberry topping. I would recommend for a quick bite :)

Worst experience ever. I’ve been to A LOT of restaurants and I believe that the way to provide outstanding customer service is by having nice waiters and being accommodating. After being seated, our waiter comes and I placed an order for the hummus and I asked him if it were possible to do chicken and lamb instead of lamb and beef since I don’t eat beef. He tells me «no the lamb and beef come mixed“then I ask him to recommend something to me and he goes«well I don’t know what you like». I just told him the only thing I don’t eat is beef… After telling him I need a few more minutes, he leaves and I decide that I can’t eat there because there’s nothing for me to eat on the menu. When he comes back I proceed to tell him that I won’t be staying to order an entrée. He tells me «well you have to pay for the hummus because you ordered it» with the nastiest attitude. I don’t mind paying for it, but are you really charging me after you were rude and didn’t even attempt to be accommodating? HORRIBLEPLACE. The waiter was the worst. No manners at all! Needs to learn how to smile. Disappointing.

We came here the other day for dinner and were very happy with our service and meals. The place is new with a simple modern design. The service is friendly and fast 5⁄5 The Shepard salad(Greek salad) was perfect it was made the way they make it in Greece, 5⁄5 for taste. The pork skewers had the right amount of spices, and it was tender, 5⁄5 for taste. The pork yeero is the best tasting yeero in Astoria, the meat has the right amount of spices, 5⁄5 for taste. The spinach pie was fresh and tasted great 5⁄5 They have a good size dining room in the back and outside tables! I am really happy that finely a Greek Souvlaki place has opened and serves food that tastes great!

Ordered from GrubHub — The bacon on the burger wasn’t actually bacon, it was some kind of thick sausage. Unexpected, but the fries and burger were still tasty. However, the delivery man Enrique was very rude and told my boyfriend to never order from them again… so. bye? Good food, rude employee.

A really great place. A shining star in the Greek community that is Astoria. Great Greek food with great atmosphere. Greek music in the air and smiling girls to take your order. Just had their Souvlaki(which means«Little Souvla» or skewer) and they left nothing out. This is my go to spot for for a quick bite or a nice lunch. Nice, Clean and delicious.

Came here yesterday with my mom — excited about a new greek spot where you can eat and go. My mom and I both ordered the Avgolemono — we got the very last drops of what was left, but it was so worth it. The soup was AMAZING. Now for the«main course» — I got a chicken souvlaki, I had to sub the honey mustard?(what never heard of honey mustard in a chix souvlaki sandwhich) for tzatziki. My mom got a greek quinoa salad — she seemed to be happy with it though she barely ate any of it. I tried to eat my chicken souvlaki sandwich but was hesitant with every bite I took — the chicken didn’t seem like it was fully cooked. It was hard to tell because it was dark meat, however the last chunk of chicken that I ate was very raw. I spit it out and showed one of the workers. I received a sincere«I’m sorry» and went about my night. Un-cooked chicken is a big deal. I would probably only get the soup from this place going forward. Great avgolemono is hard to find so I am happy this place offers it.

The quality of food is so so. I bought a Greek salad with it says 4 oz pork souvlaki Its more like a 3oz the Greek salad is only 1.5 cup. Very small. I don’t mind paying a little more for better quality, but sorry to say it’s average quality. Not worth the money you pay. Not going again.

Food is delicious and fresh. I always get the Greek salad for appetizer and the lamb gyro with French fries. All of it is really good. Plus, the staff is super friendly, quick, efficient and remember you if you come in a few times. There are a lot of Greek regulars who come in every day.
