PPP has been very responsive and reached out to me to send the project manager for follow up after reading my review. Again, nice guys and I appreciate them taking the initiative to reach out and try to fix the mistakes that were made.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. If I could list my phone number for you readers to discuss my review I would. Suffice it to say that after 5 weeks (five!) of never successfully completing one of our four rooms in our modest 750 square foot apartment, we fired them. We also refused to pay the balance owed.
Here’s the short: Let’s start with the name — which is anything but precise, and the plus is the extra work you’ll be doing cleaning up and later on repainting what was ruined.
How this company got rave reviews from Angie’s List is a mystery. (I will review on Angie’s List separately) Maybe it was the crew we were assigned. Maybe this company has better ones. But of all of the 12 professional paint jobs I’ve had done in my lifetime in New York City and our home in the country, this was by far the worst. The combination of the workmen, their workmanship, and the way in which the project managers (Sean C. and Chris C.) handled it was a fiasco. I’ve waited until now, 7 months later, to list PPP since my husband and I wanted to see how their work held up. I’m sorry to report that cracks have appeared in every piece of trim they painted and supposedly «fixed», some within a week of their being ushered out.
I will finish this review soon when I can organize my thoughts in a more constructive manner.

Very professional team. Both our estimator Sean and our coordinator Seth were very responsive in the entire process. Both the painting and wallpaper application were high-​quality work. Price was on the expensive side but we think it’s worth it.

Our home had water damage from a busted pipe which caused to the ceiling of two closets and the wall and ceiling of one bathroom to collapse. We searched through a number of different vendors and settled on Precision Painting Plus due to their great reviews. An appointment was scheduled and estimator Alan arrived on time. He did a walkthrough of the problem areas and give us an estimate. After a little negotiating, we settled on a price and an estimated two days to complete the job.
The project manager Ido arrived with his team on time. He was very pleasant and agreeable as the finer details of the project were discussed. The team needed to repair the sheetrock on ceiling and wall in the bathroom, drop ceiling in the closets and paint all areas.
We were a little surprised to discover the items had yet to be purchased. We began to doubt if the project would actually be completed in two days. But not only was he able to get the job done, but all in one day, exactly to spec. We were impressed.
But we ran into issues when one of the wood planks attached to the wall fell the day after they left. We contacted Ido, who came back the next day and did a quick repair. Great customer service.
All in all, I would recommend Precision Painting Plus for future work.

Precision quoted me a higher price than another painter I considered, but for the money, I received some excellent service. Everyone I worked with (Alan, the estimator; Ido, the project manager; and Edwin, the painter) was courteous, prompt, professional and quick to respond to emails and texts. The crew also did a good job cleaning up after themselves, which I really appreciated. Reliable, friendly service throughout.
As for quality, the original job was good, but not perfect. But, Precision will happily send a painter back to do touchups. I actually called Edwin back twice and both he and Ido, the project manager, were gracious about it each time. If you decide to use Precision, don’t be shy about following up to point out small things that you think need fixing. They will be happy to come back, and you will get better results that way.
In short, I’m happy with the finished product, and plan to call Precision again for my next painting project.

I called seven times and they disconnected me ALL seven times. I asked for an estimate they said they’d send someone down. I’m ok with that but my father asked for a REAL estimate not wait around because he needed a ballpark figure. I just tried calling them back SEVEN TIMES AND ALL SEVEN TIMES THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I clicked 1 then clicked 2 one went to voicemail which I want to speak to a real person. they said they are open 24⁄7 and I heard the disconnect alert every time!!! What the hell is going on??? I just gave me PERSONAL address to this place and they’re not picking up their phone and NO FOLLOW UP EMAIL for the past 30 minutes!

The precision Painting team was excellent from start to finish. Their pricing was some of the best in the city, and their workmanship was great! When they were finished our apartment looked brand new. They were very responsive to any questions I had both before, and after the project. I would absolutely use them on any future projects.

They were able to paint the entire interior of our apartment in a couple of days, and on fairly short notice. Alex, the manager, and Rene, the painter, went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the job. They guarantee their work, and are excellent about responding to any adjustments you request. I thought the communication between client and management was excellent! I used them for a move, and would happily call them again.

This review is for the quote part only.
I was literally going frantic when another contractor I had planned to work with booked multiple jobs and dropped the news that my job will be sidelined and can only start two weeks after without rough finishing date. He tried to take advantage of my limited repair time as my move-​in– date neared. It was sort of do as I say, as you will not find another contractor at the last minute… He deliberately sent me the contract late (the Friday evening right before the Labor day weekend) giving all sorts of excuses so I can not seek other contractors. He told me to sign the (surprisingly, altered to his liking) contract but texted me not to bother him until Tuesday morning and send the signed altered contract with check by Tuesday. Not a good sign!
As I was trying to find a contractor last minute over the Labor Day weekend, precision painting did return my message and arranged the appointment in a heartbeat. Wow!
Sean, the estimator came out the next morning right on time (i had three different contractors scheduled and one was no show or did not even bother to call that he is running late…)which is always a good sign. He was honest, professional with reasonable prices for the job. He examined the damaged floor like a pro and took the time to explain in details.
Unfortunately, due to limited days for the repair before my move in date, I have decided to postpone the repair for the next time but will definitely seek precision paints.
I really am grateful to Sean for his time, reasonable price, professionalism, patience and most importantly, he did not try to take advantage of my helpless situation and was willing to meet my constrained time frame with very limited options given.
I appreciate their help and recommend precision paint and the team! Thank you!

Precision Painters will make you re-​assess your definition of blue-​collar vs. white-​collar.
The painters were professional, quick and did a great job…
The project manager on the other hand was all over the place.
We were lured by the #1 Angie’s List rating. We had an in-​home estimate and the Team Leader was nice, professional and seemed to be confident and in control (we were told that the Project Manager would call us for all requisite information re. scheduling, paint color and they are experts so we would not have to worry about indicating the quantity). So, we decided to put down a deposit…
Then, we had to deal with the contract, scheduling, paint colors… I had to track down the Project Manager (PM) to get things done, not vice versa. That was frustrating. Then, at 8:00 am on the day of the job, the PM was apparently calling me because he forgot to ask about the finish that we wanted (egg shell, flat, etc…). I received frantic communications stating that if I did not respond, they would have to reschedule… I finally got in touch with the PM and a whole lot o’ chaos ensued for the next few hours… Note, they were scheduled to be at our house between 8:30 –9:00 am. WHY was I receiving this call so late in the game?
1) I was *warned* that the painter speaks Spanish and asked if that was ok. Hmmm were they pre-​empting the .0001% chance that we Brooklynites were fans of Donald Trump? Thankfully my spouse is Cuban and speaks Spanish… and I am conversational. Even if we didn’t speak Spanish, the Foreman spoke English and the painters were not imbeciles. They were hard-​working and could have understood directions in English.
2) Painters arrived at 10:20 am. We were originally told they would arrive between 8:30 am to 9:00 am. But this was not their fault… because they were standing around for 30 – 45 min. since the PAINT was still not delivered.
3) After we called the PM over and over and increased our blood pressure, the paint arrived a little after 11:00 am.
4) There were 3 guys on the job (1 Foreman). They finished in about 3 hours and they did a great job. Professional, precise.
All I know is that the painters have a lot to teach the Managers about business acumen.

GOOD PAINTING BUT TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND LEFT A MESS. We used Precision 2 years ago and they were great. we called them again, and had a terrible experience. The job dragged on and there was poor communication. last time there was no «Manager». this time, there was, Chris, who was not communicating w the painters or with us. We were originally told they would finish on Thursday. Then it turned out they would finish Friday. Then the painters didn’t come on Friday but no one told us they were not coming. Then it was going to be Saturday. But the painter apparently had an emergency but again, we were not told. Then they were going to finish Sunday but they got a late start. They eventually finished Monday at 6. But they left the room very messy – paint stains in the bath tub, dust every where, trash and materials scattered in the room, the old molding in a pile, paint stains on the floor. The second painter did not use drop cloths on the floors. We spent 3 hours cleaning. The good news is that the paint job is actually great. But man, what a hassle.

I reached out to Precision Painting based on their high ratings on Unilocal.They sent a very friendly service rep out to my condo to give me an estimate, and he provided one to me the same day with the offer of a special discount if we decided to schedule with them within the next day. Precision’s price was very fair and they were able to come out and begin the job that same week. My building requires a COI and they were able to provide that with no problem. The painter did an amazing job — I was surprised how great it all turned out (no marks on the trim, no brushmarks, etc.) because he worked so fast — two coats of paint in the kitchen, living room, dining room, hallways and bedrooms took less than two full work days. I ended up hating the color that I had originally chosen for the walls after they finished the first coat of paint (completely my fault) so they worked with me to find a better color and repaint to my liking without charging me for another whole job. They did such a good job that I called them to come back and paint a new built-​in bookshelf unit that we had installed later on, and they exceeded my expectations again with that job. I would definitely hire them again for any painting needs that we have and strongly recommend this company. I was pregnant when we worked together and they sent over a very thoughtful baby gift after I had the baby — above and beyond customer service!

We were in dire need of getting our apartment painted… the colors were so drab and made our place look small. We checked on Angie’s List and Precision came up right away. So excited and rearing to go, I called for a consultation appointment and met with Alan, who was very professional and really knew his craft. We told him the colors we were looking for and he gave us suggestions, as well as walked through the apt and giving us an estimate on the spot.
We stayed in contact through email, even down to signing the contract and picking the colors. On the day of the project, the guys showed up nice and early. They moved all furniture, covered everything and even took the time to point out any problem areas for my approval. Afterwards, they moved everything back and cleaned up any leftover paint and dust. They were able to finish all 3 rooms in a day! I was also happy that the project manager, Alex showed up before and after to ensure that the job was completed and that we were satisfied. Thoroughly impressed by the service and the finished product and would highly recommend them.

After getting a lot of quotes and working with a few different vendors, Sean from precision was by far the most professional and gave a very fare quote. We were working on major painting projects for the building public spaces. He and Chris followed through on everything promised and took our building to a new level of cozy. The painters clearly took a lot of time to take care of every detail, especially in the trim work. Everyone was very patient with all of our questions and I could not be more appreciative! I highly HIGHLY recommend Precision Painting and their team to everyone and have already reccomended them to friends!

For my first apartment, I did all the painting myself. I started in the bedroom and hallways, started losing steam in the living room and was then too exhausted to do a good job in the bathroom and hallways. After that ordeal, I vowed to keep the walls white or hire it out. For my next place, I found out about PPP through a friend who had a great experience. The crew was incredibly organized and clean, completing my main family rooms, in record time. My only regret is that I wish I had used them before!

I thought I finally found professional and reliable painters. Not the case. At the last minute, they called to say they were unable to keep our appointment. Mind you, they had my deposit. I would never recommend them. (It sounded as though they partied too much on July 4th and were too tired to make it the following morning.)

So I read the reviews on here and decided to give this place a shot, I was very satisfied with the results and I was glad I did. My kitchen and living room got a much needed shot of color, and I am so happy with how things turned out. The crew was really quick — they were in and out in two days, and the results are much nicer then when I go at it with a paint brush — there were no splotches, drips or uneven coloring.

I wanted one wall painted a dramatic color in my apartment.
I had heard about Precision from a friend that was really happy with their work, so I scheduled an appointment.
They were able to come by quickly, and gave me an estimate for the work very soon after which was really affordable. I booked them, and they were able to paint the wall very quickly without making a mess of my apartment; everything was really neat and clean after they were finished.

PPP was a pleasure for us to deal with during a considerably stressful time in our lives. We were trying to move into our new apartment asap. We were short on time after the seller to the apartment delayed the closing on us twice, and caused us to close 2 months later than planned. This threw off all our plans, including painting. Sean Cunningham from PPP responded to my online inquiry within minutes. After explaining to him that we needed an all over paint job before moving into the apartment asap, he quickly accommodated our schedule. He came by to give us an estimate quickly. He also was able to match an estimate we received from a competing painting company. Given how professional, responsive, and competitive Sean was, we felt comfortable choosing PPP for the paint job. PPP did a fantastic job overall, and came back to do touch ups on our request. Eddie the painter went beyond his call of duty and actually gave us money saving advice on a radiator cover we were having trouble with. We were originally planning on cutting a hole through the wooden cover, but given his experience he was able to advise us to try opening the latches from the inside to open the covers. We had no idea the inside latches existed, and the seller did not tell us that even after we inquired about accessing the radiator behind the radiator cover. They simply told us to cut a hole in the wood. So Eddie saved us money on a unnecessary job that would’ve made our radiator cover aesthetically inferior. We will definitely use PPP for any of our future painting needs, and recommend PPP to family and friends!

I recently moved into a new home and had my house painted by Precision Painting Plus. I was able to meet with the manager after work to walk them through my house. He took the time to explain all the options and prices to get the work done smoothly. They were really flexible with hours so it was easy to schedule appointments. Precision Painting painted my new construction condo in LIC and they were amazing. I met with a project manager on a weekday, picked out colors and walked through all the rooms. We received an estimate that night. My wife was a little hesitant at first because we had gone over our budget but we decided to give it a shot.
We went away for the weekend and had Precision complete the work while we were gone. We returned to a completely transformed home. The workmanship was phenomenal. They took care of moving all furniture and covered everything properly. Needless to say it was worth every penny spent. And the value in the whole experience was well justified. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to get a thorough paint job.
