Solid range of beers. Plenty of games: Jenga, taboo, cards against humanity. Small space but it’s out of the way, so likely not crowded. High tables with bar stools ranging from 4 – 12 people. The food looked good – German bier hall stuff.

Huge space with a nice open layout. Have been there a few times and the only time it was packed was for memorial day party. Even then it was still fine.
They make some really underrated beers, which I guess is a good thing. I haven’t had anything from them which I thought was undrinkable. Staff there was also attentive and nice
Overall, great place to hangout at and enjoy some flights or full pours then take home bottles or growlers. The prices were not bad at all.

Came to SingleCut for for my boyfriend’s best friend’s sister’s birthday party. It was pretty great. Loved the Brooklyn-​hipster-​but-​not-​overdone vibe. We were about 15 people at a long table. We walked in at 6pm on a Saturday and grabbed it.
I don’t know much about beer, but they seemed to have a wide selection that everyone was happy with. It’s super cool that you get to see the actual brewery and huge kegs in the back while there. As for food, skip the cheese plate. It’s a total ripoff. Get the franks. I got the Astorian and loved it.
And for the best part — THE BOARD GAMES! It really adds a level of fun to your evening that any occasion could use, whether it’s a birthday, a date, or a friend hang. We played Cards Against Humanity (love), Connect 4 (I’m almost unbeatable), and UNO (first time playing! I lost).

Cool spot to grab craft beers w friends/​family. Maybe play a board game or 2. Had a pils, was pretty good. Negative was the salty bartender, lil’ guy w big beard. Service w bad attitude. Was my first time & he wasn’t very helpful and was annoyed w my simple questions about how the service worked (table or grab beers @ bar etc…) it’s the Hospitality business bruh & if it doesn’t suit you then maybe you should step aside & let a more qualified person step in. Angry little elf. Also they were projecting weird nick cave videos on the wall which seemed really out of place here & gave a pretentious hipster feel to the room. If this is the norm here I’ll pass. Not feeling it. Overall left a bitter flat taste on my palate.

Singlecut probably has my favorite brewery space in the NYC area. There are a number of tables both inside and out as well as some bar seats. It may be a bit smaller than some others but it makes up for it in character. It has a ton of board games and offers food (good food too!)
They have flight, pints, and growler pours available but the selection can vary greatly. We went one week and had quite a few options but a few weeks later it was slim pickings on a Sunday afternoon.

Came here on my birthday this year and had a great night! The beers are all delicious and very reasonably priced. This is a great place to come hang with a few friends and put back a few. The food left a lot to be desired, so I’d advise coming here after a meal (there isn’t really a kitchen, they sell empanadas that they bring in from another place, which were tasty, but not really enough to fill yourself up on). Really cool atmosphere, with live music playing in a loft on the Friday night we attended. I’ll certainly be back here, its a fun and unique night out.

I was, am, and will always be a big fan of SingleCut beers. I always tell people that anything out of this brewery is gold.
But the place itself is a bit hectic and chaotic. Maybe it’s because the place is wildly popular with the locals?
Either way, would definitely return.

What a hidden gem in Astoria! I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon and this place was so full of life. I loved the open concept and how chill the place was with the old school music and a large selection of board games. They also have a wide variety of tables, catering to both large and small groups. Our group of 8 pax had no problems fitting on a long table without having to squeeze or add extra chairs. I also remember thinking to myself that this place did a great job with sound-​proofing considering that even though it was so crowded, it was not unbearably noisy ;)
Our table as a whole tried the entire selection of beers they had that day, which I believe was about 10. The beers were not bad, although my only gripe is that most of the beers were IPAs (which I’m not a huge fan of). I’m not sure if we just happened to go on IPA day or something, but I wish they had a wider selection because the beers all started to taste the same after a while. We also tried the spinach & mozzarella empanadas and the truffle cheddar soft pretzel (comes with warm beer cheese… Mmm!!) and both were really good!
I would highly recommend this place for hanging out with friends away from the city, especially if you and your friends are IPA lovers.

Awesome little brewery with a good amount of seating, inside and outside. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding beer selection. They have a pretty good selection of board games which is fun! Sit around, drink some beer, play some games. What’s even more awesome is if you get hungry, they do have some small bites. I didn’t see the entire menu, but we saw others eating fresh beer pretzels, and decided to try it as well — it was delicious!
You can get 5 samplers for $ 10, or pints for $ 5-​$ 7 which I think is pretty reasonable. The day we went, there were 8 – 10 different beer options. We tried them all, most were IPAs, however, there was one really good lighter White Lager that had an amazing flavor to it. Was definitely our tables favorite of the day.
The hours are a bit strange and not consistent, so if you plan on making a trip out here, I would call just to make sure they’re open. I think they do a lot of private events, which is why sometimes they close early or open late. Kind of annoying, but also a great idea to have your private event here!
Overall, I think it’s was a pretty cute spot, relatively smaller brewery but still a good amount of seating. Good beer and hang out spot. Would definitely come back here and recommend this place to others.

I was ready to dislike Singlecut because (I thought) it’s so over-​hyped. But, I was wrong… the fanfare is well-​earned. The branding on this business is top-​notch. It just doesn’t get much sexier. The beautiful wooden tables, the perfectly chosen logo, the guitar/​fretboard theme and tap handles. Did I not mention the food menu that reads like a Diana Gabaldon novel… Ooh, artisanal meat pies! The Beeeers? Mmmmm. The beer menu seems to constantly be changing and evolving. They are honing the art of IPAs/​ales and lagers. It’s a passion I admire, and I gladly volunteer my tasting services.

No quibble with the beer; it makes me proud to live in Queens. Staff is nice and site is cool. Board games are a nice touch. Only gripe: it’s a bit bro-​tastic.

Food: Complimentary cape cod chips. They are currently revamping their food menu. If hunger really strikes you they encourage you to order food for delivery right to you as you enjoy your beer.
Brew: I love the energy in this private hidden gem that’s tucked away in Queens. I took one look at this place and fell in love instantly. They have a cool vibe with vinyl and games to play freely. A rehearsal space on site and guitars hanging over the beer. Maybe because I’m a musician I clicked right away with the place but then the beers spoke for them selves. Amazing selection of hand crafted brews that each have a personality of their own. I only had two of their brews because I personally don’t like to muddle my taste buds when trying new beers. I had the FatCat Indian Pale Lager and the Full Stack IIPA. Both F@&$ing amazing personally leaning more towards the Full Stack IIPA. This IIPA is really smooth and before you get the bitterness you get hit with this amazing burst of this tropical citrus flavor on your tongue and top of your noise when you take that deep breath. It was a beautiful surprise. It’s clean and crisp with a bold bitterness at the end that leaves you with a great taste on your palate.

This place is an absolute MAN CAVE!
The space is self is large, garage type feel with very high ceilings. There’s even a top nook set up with instruments for the perfect musician’s jam. They were playing great tunes while we were there. My husband and I got here before our friends. We were starving. We ordered some beer and looked over the menu. The Kim Hibiscus Sour Lagrrrr caught my eye. i always want to try something that is unique to the establishment. I have never had a sour beer and especially not a beer with hibiscus. When I sat down and took a sip I was taken a back by the tart level. The nibbles they offer are, pot pies, empanadas and potato chip bags. I am pescatarian so I of course went for the Vegetarian Curry Pot Pie. When it arrived my beer was actually the perfect beer for the meal. The curry was balanced by the tartness of the beer. I felt like the menu could use come beer pairings.
I even got a free 5 oz taster with my Unilocal check in. I of course had to go for my fave, IPA. Their 18 Watt IPA was delightful.
I then went for the 5×5 oz sampler for $ 10 to get the real taste of the brewery. The faves in the mix were the IPA and the JAN the Olympic White Lagrrr was light and crisp and perfect for summer. I also have to recommend the Keith Sw4 Pale Ale, it was reminiscent of Boddington’s, as my friend described it «A Blonde Guiness». It was super creamy and easy to drink. The Heavy Boot of Lead Imperial Stout was undoubtedly a dessert beer. It tasted like a boozy espresso.
Our friends enjoyed the grub, the JAN’s, the outdoor seating and the games of Jenga! Singlecut is a great spot to get out of the city and have a rockin’ good time.

Came last Saturday afternoon around 1pm. Good thing I checked their website before hand because the tap room was only open from 12 – 5 that day because of a private event from 5pm on. We arrived around 1 and there were maybe 10 other people there trying out some good beer. We got some flights, had a pretzel and sat down for some of their many board games which actually had all the pieces!
The food wasn’t anything tasty. $ 7 buys you two eh empanadas and chips and $ 4 will get you a small pretzel. The tour took about 30 minutes and was really informative. We came hungry which wasn’t a good idea but really good beer in a cool environment just a little out of the way!

Such a cool spot! Great hours, great beers, great staff. On Saturdays and Sundays there are free brewery tours at 3 and 4 pm which take about 30 – 40 minutes. The brewery is small but makes it that much more of a gem for a local spot with fantastic beers.
About a year ago I was looking for bars with board games and when I came here I was excited to see a bunch of games you can borrow and play while you sip on drafts and flights of beers crafted in house. I also noticed a band set in the loft area and the bartender said they have live music on most Friday nights in the summer. I can’t wait to check that out!

SingleCut Beersmiths does have a lot of potential. I love the setting and the vibe. People are friendly here. The feel here is simple and rustic.

If you are an IPA lover, there are quite a few to sample. The problem is I found most of the taste really similar and over time it get redundant!
We were here a weekday afternoon, so the tasting room was almost empty. It was great to chill out with friends and even play some board games.

Who knew Astoria even had a brewery? I sure didn’t. Not until a good friend invited me to see The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion perform here a few Saturdays ago! Its easy to find parking if you’re driving, but there was a line and a 15-​minute wait to get in by the time we arrived at 9pm since the max capacity was already filled. Obviously it’s not always this packed on a regular night, but there was barely any room to move inside when we entered. You really had to push through the crowd to get anywhere.
Service left more to be desired — I understand that I’m a very petite individual and sometimes it’s hard to see me when everyone else is a tall, broad, bearded man. But there were three bartenders working that night, all of whom ignored me for 20 mins during the show while I’m literally standing right there while they served everyone else around me who arrived after. The bar only has room to fit about 10 people at a time, so there was no excuse. At least the beer was good and fairly priced, I particularly liked their Bön Bön IPA.

Excelentes cervejas… espaço e atmosfera incriveis. Tour pela cervejaria e uma das poucas que ofereceu explicações de nível tecnico onde se podia perceber a paixão do mestre cervejeiro (poucos lugares explicam beta-​amylase e alpha-​amylase durante o tour, parabéns por fazer isso). Tomei um flight mas infelizmente não tive muito tempo para degustar todas.

I love a brewery, I really do.
And this one in particular is keeping things fun, affordable and friendly. The bar tenders really know their beers, as they should since they are serving the beer being brewed right there, but they are great to talk to about all the underlining flavors going on in each of the selections.
Get a flight to try out some of them, and then once you find your favorite, settle in for a full pint. While you’re hanging out, grab a snack, a deck of cards or a board game and enjoy the live music that starts up later in the night.
