History
Established in 2003.
Founded by Sarah Bennett in California the Ophelia Theatre Group and a dozen original members uprooted their lives and moved to New York to present high quality theater in a larger arena. In conjunction with the Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens OTG has renovated a black box theater within the club to this end.

In 2003, Sarah founded the Ophelia Theatre Group. Sarah produced, directed and often performed in the various types of shows the group offered their community throughout the years, including several of her original works.
After many years of continuous success on the west coast she decided that the group was ready for the next big step and announced that she would be moving the company to New York. At the beginning of 2011 many core members made the move, and to date, fifteen of Ophelia’s members have relocated from California, continuing their devotion to the group’s productions. It is her privilege and pleasure to continue to lead this special group of artists.
