What I love is the great customer service provided by the staff! Also, when I walked in, they were constantly cleaning, wiping, organizing. Well, cleaning! Please be aware that there are only three tables! I walked in here looking for something to eat, forgot what a chicken roll($ 5.50) was called and just pointed it out. They were so nice and friendly and made me feel very welcomed at their little restaurant. The chicken roll was packed with flavor and I can honestly say that it was the best one I have ever had in my life! The bread was nice and soft on the inside when it bit into it and the inside was super cheesy! They chopped up the chicken cutlet when they made this. This location is a block from Mount Sinai Hospital and you’re going to have to find parking in the on the street. Right in the front is metered but if you drive around the block, you can find«free» street parking. Why not just order ahead and just wait to pick it up(double park it)? Next time that I’m back in this area, I’ll be getting more of those chicken rolls!

I absolutely love the food here! Reminds me of what I would always get back home(which is New Jersey, so I know good pizza). The sauce is sweet, the crust is a perfect mix of crunchy but soft, the cheese is dank and perfectly gooey. The wait for my order went past the estimated delivery window, and that has happened both times I’ve ordered from here. I don’t hold the extended wait time against them, thought. They deliver all the way from Astoria out to me in Bushwick! My ONE question for them is this: Why do your pizza boxes have an entirely different business printed on the front? Mine says ‘Due Fratelli’ and the address says Dekalb Avenue.

I ordered from I was hungry and I didn’t read the reviews on Unilocal or on seamless, on seamless they trash this restaurant. Anywho I ordered my food I called because the food wasn’t there at the time it was promised after 15mins I called because it was supposed to come to my house at 8:20pm and now it’s 8:45pm and someone picked up so rude and said he is on his way we know and hanged up with out me finishing my sentence. I was outside for another 10mins giving the delivery guy direction on how to get to my house since he didn’t know where he was and he was cursing! The whole point of delivery to get it to your house I had to walk a block and wait for him to come bring my food. The food I got was cold and not the best quality. I had the food and the next day I got sick I had stomach virus. I missed 2 days from work and I was really sick. Never again am I ordering from this place ever again. This place should be closed from the health department.

OMG! Came in yesterday and tried the Meatball Parm and the Lasagna, both were great! Gives you lots of cheese in both which I like! I can taste the ragú, not watery and over processed like as in most places. You can tell they make it fresh and not out of a can! Its nice and mildly chunky where you can still taste and feel the crushed tomatoes. The breads are made fresh, soft and light with just the right amount of crustiness! The meatballs aren’t mealy as in most places where its filled with more breadcrumb than meat! You feel like you’re getting nothing but fresh home made food from your mama’s kitchen! I’m a believer! Nick the chef and proprietor was quite infectious and passionate about explaining his dishes. I like anyone that loves what they do! Even gave me free samples to try and take home! I’m coming back for their Chicken Parm next time! The sample he gave me was outstanding! The chicken wasn’t dry and the breading was well seasoned and flavorful! You can tell he puts a lot of love into each and every dish! He even said he’ll make whatever you want to order, as if your in his house! He likes to create new dishes! Which I’d suggest he should consider putting up specials on a chalkboard or something so people get in on some of that! ;)

I always passed by Veloce but never had the time to try it. I live 2 blocks away and I was really hungry and thought I’d just give it a shot. The menu looked to me extensive but interesting. For a small pizzeria, they have exotic Italian dishes I’ve never heard of before. I was craving chicken and ordered Chicken paradise(grilled chicken, sautéed spinach, roasted peppers and melted mozzarella). my craving was cured! Not to mention the fresh baked bread I was surprised by. As I was waiting I couldn’t help but ch eck their pizza out. The pizza looked awesome! Whole wheat and glutin free crust! What pizzeria has these options??? I have to come back and try the pizza now!

Food here is pretty good all round. I began with their pizzas and calzones, even the Philly cheese steak sub was good;or, the BBQ burger. But, their pastas are what really won me over. From«chicken paradise» to a carbonara, none have disappointed and i’m still curious to try some other stuff on the menu, which is a good sign. The pastas always come with some nice warm bread, better than i can find around in near by bakeries. Their spots doesn’t have to much seating capacity, but this place is more about great food to deliver, or pick up if you live nearby. The menu even mentions that they do catering so. 4 stars +1 for the personnel, since i’m a repeat customer :-)

This is an amazing place to eat. Their kale salad is amazing! You must try it!!! Their menu is very extensive which is great because you have a wide variety of options to choose from. They are also on grub hub which makes it easier for customers. The staff is so lovely and kind as well. Best pizzeria!

Pizza was pretty good. Wings were really good. Buffalo sauce came on the side and was awesome. Delivery took longer than expected. The pizza was not hot when it got here.

Ordered 2 pasta dishes, garlic bread and a calzone for delivery from 2 neighborhoods away. The order took over 2 hours to arrive, one of my pasta dishes had the incorrect pasta type and the restaurant forgot to add the sausage I paid an extra $ 4.50 for. The calzone was actually pretty good, but getting incorrect, lukewarm food after waiting for 2 hours on a $ 55.00 order is very disappointing. Never again, Veloce.

Tried their mozzarella slice after a particularly exhausting weekend and was absolutely blown away! Ordered in the following evening, sampling their sausage pie. Describing it as delicious would be a crude understatement. This type of cuisine is one of the reasons people might just want to live in Queens.

This place is a complete ripoff! I ordered delivery to the extended stay hotel recommended from the front desk for late nite delivery. First off the guy that answered the phone was rude and didn’t want to tell me what types of salad they had available. I had to ask for the price before he rudely just hung up the phone in my ear. A hour later the food gets here and it’s 40 freaking dollars for pasta Caesar salad a soup and 2 drinks. The drinks were 4 $ apiece! The meatballs were processed beef and the drinks were artificially flavored! I could’ve had better food from the Chinese restaurant. The food was nasty and so was the guys attitude that answered the phone! RIPOFF! STAYAWAY!

I work across the street from this place. The front desk guy that takes your order is a jerk. Pizza is alright. Nothing to rave about. Oh did I mention if you use your debit/credit card regardless of the amount, they charge you an extra 1.35 without your consent? There’s so many more and better pizzerias in Astoria.

I’ve frequented Veloce numerous times after my initial review, and they truly deserve 5STARS! Their Kale Salad is oh so good, with walnuts, apple slices, cheese, in a delicious vinaigrette with olive oil. I’ve also tried a few of their specialty pizzas, which are all delish! Stop by Veloce’s soon!!! After tasting Veloce’s delicious eggplant pizza with whole wheat crust at a bday party for one of my coworkers, I decided to stop by for lunch for the first time. Got a small lunch special salad(fresh mozzarella/tomato/avocado) — and added grilled chicken — for an extra 3 bucks(total was about $ 8.50). It was very fresh and good! They also are very organized, and separated the salad from the chicken, and the salad dressing came on the side too. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes.

BEWARE… I ordered from this place for a late night pizza on GrubHub. I waited and although the app said it was on its way, the pizza never showed up. I called the restaurant and no answer. I called grub hub and they ended up speaking to the owner. The owner claims my pizza was given to a man waiting outside my building apparently confirming my last name(hard to believe). I’m a female who lives on the 3rd floor and do not know anyone who would know my last name in this neighborhood. GrubHub informed me the owner would not refund my order since it was delivered to «someone.» I will never order from here again and I would advise everyone to be cautious about doing so.

Best ingredients I’ve found in a pizzeria in Astoria. I’ve eaten here several times due to the interesting combination of toppings and options. Gluten free, whole wheat, and non greasy options make this a guilt free choice. Suggestions: Kale Salad, grilled Eggplant and mozzarella pizza, and homemade buffalo wings are my go to orders.

I liked this place! Veloce is a tiny little pizza shop on 30th ave — Very cozy and clean. I was hungry so I ordered 3 slices of pizza :-). I started with their ravioli pizza. It had giant cheese ravioli pieces on it smothered in tomato sauce and cheese. It was as delicious as it sounds! Next I had to try a standard plain slice because it’s the best way to judge a pizza place’s food. It wasn’t the most amazing slice of pizza I’ve ever had but it was good! Finally I ended with a philly cheese steak pizza. It had thinly sliced steak, peppers, onions, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and cheese whiz. I thought it was going to be greasy and heavy but it wasn’t bad at all! I know they also make pasta dishes and their menu says it’s made in house. I’m looking forward to going back and trying it out!
