Xiao Wellness Qi Gong Tui-Na

Stumbled upon Xiao while I was looking for a new massage joint.
Up until a few months ago I had been a regular at Lilac, but the quality of their services have changed dramatically. I also tried Zen Songs, but as nice as they were they always messed up my appointments.
When I stumbled into Xiao, I found Cindy there. She’s amazing. I’ve worked with her elsewhere, and no one gets it quite as well as she does. I teach yoga and am very active… and also very busy. Cindy hones in on the areas I need some help with, without even having to ask. I can feel her work days afterward.
I would highly recommend giving Xiao a try if you’re thinking about it.

I’ve tried several places for massage in the area; I’ve never really been disappointed but as soon as I came here I was sure: this is the best one. Strong, precise, relaxing. Also the staff is very friendly.

This is my «go to» place for a massage in Astoria. Lea is amazing and so sweet! She has a lot of experience and every time I leave there I feel so reLaxed and I am never disappointed. I also left my book there the last time I went and she waited outside for me to come get it after they had closed. I was so appreciative that she did that for me, especially after she worked all day!

Best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had, this place is a Hidden Gem. It’s on a second story walk-​up, the place is clean and organized. It’s not as pretty as a bliss spa but the masseuse is way better. She doesn’t miss any corner of your body. early bird special is a must.

Found this place on Unilocal,my boyfriend and I were in terrible need of a good massage. We called maybe 45 minutes in advance yesterday, they took our appointment and texted us the address to confirm. Both Cindy and Lia were amazing, super sweet and very strong in the best way possible.
Will for sure be making our way back here once a month!

Awesome place for massages! My massage therapist was extremely talented and did an amazing job relieving my soreness! When you ask for strong pressure it means Strong! Next time I would probably ask for medium pressure, but was so sore I felt like I needed it. Very happy I went here – Great price and super convenient getting an appointment (I called 30 mins prior and got right in). Everyone was so nice too! Will definitely return!

This place is friendly, affordable and clean. Lia was the one that massaged me; she has amazing and strong hands! Definitely got the job done in getting the knots in my back. I feel relaxed and will go back next time!

Went here on a whim earlier today and was pleasantly surprised. Such a hidden gem! My boyfriend and I both got $ 45/​hr massages. The place is clean and the tables are comfortable. The women who work there are incredibly nice and sweet, always smiling. I felt so relaxed afterwards. Looking forward to coming back again!

I’ve been living in the LIC/​Astoria area for three years, and this has been my go to place for a massage. It’s nothing fancy but it’s clean, and they give strong, deep tissue massages for $ 38 if you check-​in on Unilocal.Doesn’t get better than that. And Lia is the absolute best, so I would definitely call ahead and make sure she’s available :)

This is not a «spa»…it’s a massage parlor. However, it was clean and peaceful, a small business run by a mother and daughter and a serious massage. Priced just right and an incredible massage-I’ll definitely be back!

Really nice place. I never got the name of the girl that worked on me but she was tint and strong as a gorilla. AA rating for cleanliness, atmosphere and bedside manner.
I really needed a 2 hour massage at 10pm and they accepted me even though it would last past closing.

I called at 4:30pm on a Sunday (today) to inquire and walked in at 5pm without a wait for an hour massage. I’ve been to a few places in Astoria (ones that were closer to me), but I think I’ll be sticking to this place for my monthly massages! :) SO HAPPY I found it on Unilocal the previous night. At $ 38, this was one of the best massages I’ve gotten in the area. When I walked up to the second floor, I noticed that the décor is very minimal, but I don’t think anyone is coming in for the décor. One thing that I particularly noticed about the rooms were the little donut holes you put your face in on the massage table. THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE! I’d say they are THE MOST cushioned holes I’ve ever put my face on during a massage. Usually about 20 minutes into a massage, the hole hurts my face, but NOT HERE! These were awesome face holes!
My masseuse was Lisa and she smiled a lot when I walked in. She is super sweet and accommodating. The massage was PHENOMENAL! Lisa has VERY strong hands for a small lady. I like my massages medium-​hard in strength, but had to tell her to tone it down to a soft-​medium (haha!). I was surprised she had consistently strong hands for the entire hour and got all the knots out of my back. I liked that I didn’t have to give her much direction and she knew exactly what she was doing. I actually got a massage earlier this week that didn’t do anything for my back, so this one was my second of the week. I should have just gone here instead. LESSON LEARNED! Lisa was great! Not only were her hands strong, she was very thorough. I would recommend her if you like strong massages and she can also tone it down if you ask her to. The towels are clean and they also set a timer so you get exactly what you are paying for. I cannot wait to come back in a few weeks and will def ask for Lisa again! :)

Great massage! It was perfectly relaxing. Also my friend found a deal on Unilocal for $ 38. I was in a room where you could hear traffic but the massage helped me ignore the noise. If you prefer quality over glitz then this is your place. The ladies were sweet too.

I’ve been going to this place since they opened. I used to live in Astoria but even though I moved to the Upper West Side, I’d still go all the way there just to get a massage. I like LIA, she’s a very nice lady. I’ve been going to her for years! I would never go anywhere else. I try to go at least once a month. I highly recommend this place. It’s not a fancy spa type but they do it not just right but the best.

One of the best massages I have ever had! It’s not a fancy spa (if you ask me it’s better), but they ladies are super friendly, it was very clean and so peaceful. This is exactly what you need after a stressful day. Lisa did my massage and I absolutely loved it and I will come back very soon!

I got a massage from Leah and she was great! Lots of strong pressure, I feel so refreshed! I highly recommend!

I was just walking by when I saw the sign. I decided to go in because I was suffering from the worse back tension ache so I got 30 minutes massage to give it a try. Omg! She worked every little space on my back. I was super tense and she left me walking on clouds. More than being relaxed, the pain on my back was gone and I felt like new. This place is humble but totally worth it. I’m definitely coming back and I already recommended to my friend.

i was come here many time，I am very particular about my massage and I do not like having to explain where and how deep, etc. to a new person or someone who cannot understand English. That is why I have been going to liya almost exclusively. she speaks English and is very accommodating to my personal requests. she is also a very friendly and kind person.

Holy cow! I just had a little asian beat me into submission! She totally beat out all my knots. I had a lot of tightness and sore muscles in my back and she succeeded in massaging the knots out. If you check in on Unilocal and leave a review, your massage is also only $ 38 for an hour. I absolutely love the scalp massage she gave at the end. Yes! Mess up my hair. I don’t care. Very accommodating. We scheduled three massages and had to change our time twice due to train delays. They were very easy going and made the time changes without complaint.
They have separate rooms that are closed by curtains and water after the massage. The place is clean and the staff is very nice. They really work out any knot they find. Overall, a great place for a great price if you go before 3pm.
