She made a great cake for my wife’s birthday. My four year old daughter wanted it to have leaves and ladybugs. It was just perfect. She is also very sweet and professional.

We have used Cassie’s for a few of our office parties at Farm Credit West… and we always love her creations. Our favorite so far has been the Raspberry Cheese cake. I have never had cheesecake that delicious.

My wedding cake was beautiful and looked almost exactly as the picture I presented to to them.
However after reviewing my photos, I realized they left my cake on a piece of ALUMINUM FOIL instead of the beautiful cake stand that I provided (well in advance).
They had their reasons. Said the cake stand was wobbly — whatever. They couldn’t let me know when I dropped off the cake stand or the day of the wedding? Didn’t offer a discount or anything like a comp for a next visit either.
It’s been a year and a half since that and my stomach still turns when I look at those photos.

So my fiancée went to cassies to try some cupcakes. I saw the cakes they had on their website and was seriously considering getting our wedding cake there because the cakes on the website were gorgeous. The cupcakes were 2.50 each. We got strawberry and marble the only difference between the two was that the marble had a slightly chocolate taste but very slight and the strawberry was bit more fresh. I think the marble had been sitting a day or two. The buttercream on both were stale! Its very disappointing because I was excited about their cakes. But if you cant do a cupcake, how can you do a wedding cake?

We enjoyed Cassie’s pastries at our office meeting this morning for Peabody and PLUM Realtors. We had an assortment of yummy items and everthing one was delicious. Most of us cut them in half so we could try them all. Thank you Cassie’s and Colby Jack Café for a sweet start to our morning!

I had a cake made back in March. I sent her pictures of ideas for the cake I had in mind. They created a beautiful cake even better than I imagined. She was easy to work with and very reasonable on prices. And the cake was very tasty too!

I cant not say good enough stuff about Cassie’s Cakes. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ They are delicious fresh frosting to die for & Julie’s cake had rainbow decorations weaved throughout the cake and to top it off, it exceeded my expectations and I am a picky person. I will never order a cake from anyone else ever again. Thank you for making my daughter extremely happy!

Cassie’s custom cakes saved my day! I had arranged for another person to make our wedding cake and a week before the wedding the other person decided they would be too busy to make my cake, so I had to scramble last minute to find someone else to make our wedding cake. The cake was not very elaborate or detailed, very simple, like us :)
Cassie got back to me via email in such a timely manner and also called me the very next day to arrange the wedding cake we wanted. The cake that arrived on our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and EXACTLY what we asked for. She definitely came through for us when we needed it and we honestly couldnt have asked for a better cake The cake was absolutely delicious, in fact I just had a left over piece and it was still moist. Thank you very much Cassie, you definitely relieved some stress around a pretty stressful occasion.

I can’t say enough good things about Cassie and her cakes. The bakery was recommended by my wedding coordinator and at first we were skeptical. Cassie’s Custom Cakes isn’t a big or fancy bakery, but we weren’t looking for a big or fancy cake.
While we waited for Cassie to get cake samples ready we looked through the book of cake ideas. We didn’t want a traditional flower-​covered cake so we brought in our own design. The moment we showed that to Cassie she LIT UP and got really excited about our cake. I knew then that we wanted to work with her — her eagerness was just what we were looking for!
She took our ideas and worked on some modifications necessary to make the cake work well with our topper and decorations. When she calculated the cost of the decorations we were blown away about how affordable it was. Sure, we live in LA, the land of expensive wedding cakes, but Cassie’s cakes are well priced overall and her service included a reasonable delivery fee.
The cake itself was easy. We knew we wanted carrot cake but tried a few other flavors anyway just to get a sense of her style as a baker. We worried the carrot cake might be dry so she was willing to, at no extra cost, add extra layers of cream cheese frosting to the cake to ensure it stayed moist and delicious. And she easily accommodated our desire to make one tier with nuts and one tier without. Cassie was so easy to work with!
We got married on 9÷24÷11 and the cake was terrific! It looked very much how we imagined it would — so cute! And it was very tasty. It stayed moist and delicious all night — and into the next day when my husband and I got to enjoy a big hunk of the cake. YUM!
Cassie’s cake was very affordable, tasty and beautiful. She was a pleasure to work with and the results of our creation together with our ideas and her enthusiasm to make them happen were terrific. I highly recommend her.

This is probably my favorite Bakery in San Luis Obispo county when it comes to cakes, cookies, and pastries. Try their deliciously moist coffee cakes (especially if it has crème cheese filling) or one of their many types of cookies (their snicker doodles are excellent and so are their «doodle snaps»). This is a great spot to get a treat in the morning.

Visited this place while my fiancé and I were tasting cupcakes from different bakeries in order to decide which we wanted for our wedding.
I came across Cassie’s Custom Cakes as they have great review on WeddingWire, except after tasting a cupcake I don’t know how they could possibly have that many amazing reviews.
The bakery itself is outdated and sterile feeling. They had only a few cakes and cupcakes in the display, we chose a red velvet cupcake.
The ‘cream cheese’ frosting tasted like cold stale buttercream and the cupcake was very dry. After we each had a bite we threw it away.
I don’t know how this place stays in business.

I went in for a tasting for a potential wedding and came out with a two thumbs down experience (I think it actually takes effort to make the experience this bad), so here’s my list of charges (and please please don’t respond to my post, I really get annoyed with vendors who do this):
1. When I say I want to do a cupcake tasting for a wedding, please DO tell me that you’re going to give me tasteless and dry cake instead of actual cupcakes. I get that it’s the same ingredients but cakes and cupcakes end up different (more surface ratio, for instance).
2. When you make an appointment to do a tasting, have someone that actually cares about what you do lead the appointment. We were given no reason as to why we should pick your business.
3. Offer suggestions, be helpful, be willing and flexible to make our day special. That’s what we were there for. It’s all about OUR wedding. It’s not all about numbers. A mathematic approach to your business will fail you most times.
4. Charging us for three bites of bad cake without telling us. At the end of our appointment, which consisted of someone setting a plate of three bad cake slices in front of us and then leaving, you charged us $ 25 for a tasting. We could have just bought three cupcakes for 1.25 each and known just as much. Tell people you are going to charge them or better yet, stop charging for potential future service. Gauge the client to determine if they are serious about your company and if you believe you have a shot, do a free tasting.
5. Nickel and diming: every thing you did would cost extra. I get you’re a business trying to make a profit but really cake stand rentals, delivery fees, food coloring fees (what?), and extra decoration fees? What makes you stand out from your competitors is that you’re the only bakery who only cares about dollars and cents and not about being the best baker or providing the best service.
6. The bakery is just plain and boring and ugly inside. ADD SOME CHARACTER, it’ll go a long way. What is Cassie’s story? What makes you guys unique? I wouldn’t know …

Wow! This is the worst review I have ever had. Not sure what exactly I did to make you so mad, but I am sorry that your cake tasting experience was so terrible! I am not a horrible person like you make me out to be. Had I known that you hated the cake so badly and that nobody told you about the appointment fee I would not have charged you. I am a reasonable person. I am not sure if you looked at the website before coming in, but it is listed on it. Also, I only charge the appointment fee if you do not book, so if you would have booked with me the appointment fee is waived. We usually provide cake samples because most of the brides and grooms also have a small cake that they cut. I haven’t had anyone complain about that, but think you have a valid point about the difference. I’m sorry that you feel that I nickle and dime people with my pricing. I can’t justify charging the same price for something very simple as something very elaborate. When I write up a quote I try to write it in a way so that when you compare it to another bakery you can see everything that you are getting charged for. I will look into a better way of wording the quote. Also, you said the bakery is boring and ugly inside… any suggestions? I guess it’s time for a paint job. I hope you found someone that will make you amazing cupcakes for your wedding. Good luck in the future!»

I recently got a cake here for a bridal shower. The cake was yummy and the service was great. Initially I was going to buy a specialty size cake but I thought the prices were to high so I went with a regular sheet cake. The cake turned out beautiful, just exactly as I requested it be decorated.
The bride also used Cassie’s for the wedding and she got cupcakes. The cupcakes were delicious and the filling was nice.
