Had the best experience here! Went through my insurance to get my car fixed and this was recommended. All of the Daves who work here were so incredibly nice, informative and accommodating. My car was fixed in 2 ½ days. They did an outstanding job! The pearl white matched perfectly and they even detailed the interior. I can’t recommend this place high enough. If I am ever in any need of car repair I’ll be back.

From the time I brought my car for estimate Dave made me feel safe, heard & never in a rush. He made sure my rental car was there to meet me and even when my car was ready. Great service I will recommend

My experience at San Luis Autobody was fantastic! Derek was so helpful, he not only worked with my insurance adjuster but he made sure that my rental car was ready. He kept me updated with the progress on the work for my truck. The best part is that they returned it back to me on the day that he promised. I will always use them if I ever need work done on my truck. A++ from me!

I don’t know anything about cars. I wouldn’t even know where to start if I had to talk about what was wrong with my car after it was hit while parked.
Dave walked me through every step of the repair process. He made sure that the materials that were ordered were perfect. He also helped with my rental car return so that I could return my rental close to his shop rather than near my home, which is nearly three hours away.
When I got my car back, it was as if nothing had happened to it. It looked better than it did before it was hit! He even followed up a few weeks later to make sure everything was running smoothly.
I hope my car is never hit in this area of California again, but if it is, I know that I have a great place to send it to be repaired. Thanks, Dave and team!

Wonderful auto body shop! We have been using them for at least 5 years, many times and have never had any issues. A couple times small adjustments were needed in some work & they gladly fix it quickly. Dave is a great guy, honest and will not do shoddy work. They are the best! They also don’t like to use cheap imported parts that are inferior to original equipment. If you need a body shop, this is the place to go. They are also an Allstate Preferred shop, so they can get direct assignment from them over their computer, which electronically sends them your claim & assigns the work to them. Just have your car towed directly there & then call Dave to discuss & call your insurance to let them know the car is there. It is located in Atascadero, take Curbaril exit & take the frontage road past the Harley dealer & past the recycling business. Look on your right for the two really tall palm trees & pull into their lot. If you have any questions, message me.

I went to this shop and asked for a simple estimate. The man there started immediately wanting to know how much we got from the insurance co. I would not tell him what the insurance company’s estimate was and he commenced to whine about having to do an estimate. He then guaranteed that it would be more than what the insurance company paid out even before he knew what that was. I still could not get an estimate from him. Shady business practice. I left after getting nowhere with him, maybe that is his behavior on Friday afternoons. I went to The Hobby Shop and had an estimate within 5 min. The man there did it with a smile and said it will be ready the following Wednesday. My understanding from San Luis Autobody is that they want to overcharge your insurance company.

This year has been a horrible time for our vehicles.
First, my brand new CR-​V was rear ended and we had to get it fixed. We were unsure who to take it to as everyone we spoke with had a different wonderful story or equally horrid story. In the end we went with Dave at the Atascadero branch of San Luis Autobody.
He made everything easy on us. It did take a little longer than expected to get my car back as Honda kept sending him dented parts. Mind you, these are parts that are never seen (underneath — exhaust parts) and it was more of a cosmetic issue, but Dave wanted me to get back my car in the same condition pre fender bender — It was a new car after all… I am glad that he is a perfectionist. He and his guys did an amazing job.
Maybe three months later, my husband was driving home from work and got into an altercation with a large buck. Honda Civic vs. deer… not pretty. Back to Dave we went. Just as before, they did a fantastic job and not one hassle.
