The best way to sum up Smart72 would be to say they provide a high quality product and top notch customer service.
Our system was 20 years old, and our air conditioner went out. The tech evaluated our system and provided us with an extremely energy efficient air conditioner along with an impeccable high efficiency heating system.
Some may say that high quality comes with a high price, but keep in mind the old cliché, you get what you pay for!
High quality and super high energy efficient equipment will save you money in the long run!

Jeff was awesome and responded very quickly to repair air conditioning. It was during a bad heat wave (of course)! Courteous and fixed the problem quickly. Will be using them again.

Had them out to do a maintenance tune up on my AC on a special. Last year they did a good job for me so even though it was working fine, I went ahead and scheduled it. They then identified about $ 900 in repairs that should be done, but I declined. They said it needed an acid bath on the coils and that the contact points needed changing. They left and I was thinking about doing the repairs, but hadn’t decided. The next day we tried to use it, it would not work at all. I called them up and they were apologetic and sent out a tech at no charge to see what had happened. They found that the capacitor and failed and the wire had burned off. Showed it to me. I really don’t think they did anything to sabotage it but I was irritated with the situation. They replaced the capacitor with one they had on hand, they also acid washed the coils as well — all at NO Charge! Techs that came out were very courteous and even put on white shoe covers when they had to come inside after the acid wash was done.

What an amazing expiereince! These guys took care of everything on my rental from start to finish. It’s nice to find a company you can trust… especially when your from outside the area.

Yesterday, Paul (a Smart72 Service Technician) arrived at my home to conduct an air conditioner tune-​up and inspection. He arrived earlier than scheduled, following a call from their office that advised me he was running ahead of schedule. Paul was courteous and professional as he completed his task. I have no complaints with Smart72. Excellent service, reasonable prices

We had gotten a message from someone at Smart72 following an earlier call they had made about a promotion. The message was a little hard to hear but after calling, they were able to schedule us the very next day. Looking at the Unilocal site, there was a coupon listed that I mentioned over the phone and she informed me that it had been a President’s day promo but that because it was online still, she would give us the promotional value which I thought was very honorable.
Mike helped us the next day and was very professional, didn’t make us feel like we were being sold on something, just very informative. We would have gladly paid more for the services we received and will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

Jesse B. and another employee were at our house the day after we called for an appointment to replace our two heaters. They were efficient, friendly, courteous and tidy, even wearing booties and laying down tarps to keep our house clean. I highly recommend Smart72.

We had smart 72 come an check on our heater and water heater next thing were in for thousands in repairs 12,500 told us it was red taged not to use it they started the job on a Thursday and didnt finish until Tuesday, all the work is done But doesn’t looks un-​finished drilling holes and hit a water line not a professional job also they said we would get a cash re-​bate that was a lie .the heater makes so much noise what a nightmare. Think twice about this company check others RIPED OFF.

Would give them a 0 if it were available. Went to home depot and a guy stopped us in the store and said we do a complete check of your furnace. Told us it was 1hour Heating and Air Conditioning. Smart 72 shows up. Says I need more return air to furnace and collected over $ 1,000, after almost two months of waiting for the job to be done I asked for money back… check is in the mail… wait a week… check is in the mail. This morning the girl laughed at me and said… check is in the mail. Called Home Depot and they could not even get them to answer the phone. Run fast the other way from this company.

These guys did a great job. They did the work quickly and finished ahead of schedule despite the job being more than they expected. I highly recommend them.

I had a security and home automation system installed by this company about 8 months ago, and my family and I are enjoying all of the cool features. We can turn on our lights, control our Air Conditioner, and unlock our doors without having to get off of our couch. My in-​laws came
over last week and I was at the store, but they did not have to wait for me to come back, I unlocked the front door right from my phone and they were able to get inside the home.
Today we had our first Heater tune-​up by their HVAC division, and just like the security division, the service was first class. Our
Technician Mike was very nice, and took his time to teach us how we can keep a comfortable climate in our home, while saving energy. Also, we have two long hair
dogs in our home so we used money from our monthly membership bank to buy an upgraded filter system.
I see their trucks all over the Central Coast, so I know they are gaining a lot of popularity, and I am happy to have them as my residential service provider. I am having their electrical division out next week to look at installing new can-​lights in our family room, so one of those trucks will be coming back
to Los Osos again.

Our A/​C went out and we were hot, tired and not very pleasant until Jeff came in and within minutes knew what the problem was. After discussing it with us he replaced the part. VOILA! That simple. It works!!! Jeff was pleasant and professional and we wouldn’t think twice about calling and asking for him again when the need arises. Jeff is certainly an asset to your Company.

Good luck getting your filter. I gave in to the offer of a $ 22 service check offered through a rep of this company at our local Home Depot because I was told they would check my furnace and change the filter. I told the rep at the time that I needed a new filter but did not wish to purchase a new furnace as mine is only six years old and in good working order. He assured me that was fine.
When the technician came he went up into the attic to check the furnace and came down with a small part that he called a capacitor. He told me that this part was in danger of failing and should be replaced. He also said that the cost of the part was $ 190 but that if I signed up for smart72’s maintenance plan, for just $ 150 a year, the cost of that part would be included in the plan. Such a deal! When I suggested I might look for the part online he told me it could only be purchased by a licensed contractor.
I thought that nearly $ 200 seemed like a lot of money for what appeared to be a battery, so when he went out to his truck I checked the cost of the part online at Home Depot. It turns out that $ 190 capacitor costs under two dollars and anyone can buy it. When I asked him about the outrageous mark-​up he gave me some explanation of overhead and workmen’s comp and then proceeded to show me a picture on his phone of a small sensor, on what he claimed was my furnace, that was dirty and needed cleaning (or dangerous things could happen!) and again tried to steer me toward the service plan. He later admitted that cleaning this was to have been included in the $ 22 service check but then proceeded to suggest I purchase a new furnace and told me he would buy my old (perfectly good) furnace for a friend of his he was trying to help out. What a racket!
Oh, and did I mention he was conveniently out of my size of furnace filter? I see that others have said they got the same story about being out of filters so I am guessing this is standard. The tech offered to schedule a service call to install one for me, but when I balked he promised to drop a filter off for me to install myself. It has been a week and I haven’t heard a word. That was $ 22 worth of B.S. as far as I’m concerned. Buyer beware!

One Hour Heating was bought by Smart 72 and they continue to underwhelm and leave me speechless with their AWFUL service. On two occasions we had made appointments for a service man to take a look at our mini split HVAC system and they were a no call no show. On two other separate occasions we had techs show up with no appointment made or phone call ahead of time. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! We have received a brand new unit since because of all the problems the last one was having and the first time we go to use the AC it started pouring water inside the house! Brand new unit! Never used! And already having issues?! Are you joking me?! This whole issue took over a month to solve because techs who were not trained to handle these types of systems were being sent over and Smart 72 constantly failing to show or to call for appointments. It’s called courtesy to your customers! We got off work early on TWO occasions to make it to these appointments in a timely manner and we expect the same from you and for you to not call or show for scheduled appointments is absolutely uncalled for and disrespectful! I have a life outside of waiting around for appointments– a simple phone call goes along way. Choose these clowns if you dare…

William (Billy) is a very knowledgeable alarm technician; every time I had an issue he was able to fix it with no problem. Compare to the other technicians at Smart72, I met (three different tech) they called Billy when they couldn’t figure out what was wrong and he always fixed it. Billy is not only a very good technician he also has a great attitude and made my experience with Smart72 notable. I love Billy work ethic and customer service and if I can, I will be requesting him to do all my services and work order.

John M (Technician) was excellent! He did the first annual annual PTU inspection for our air conditioner and heating unit. He was friendly, professional and took greata care to keep the home clean by wearing shoe covers when entering the house. He reviewed the safety and inspection details. Everything is working great. He explained that One Hour Heating and AC of Atascadero is changing the name to Smart 72 and expanding to provide more services such as security. Did not try to sell me anything. Great customer service. A company we can trust.

Got an inspection and quote from another company because my slightly older AC was running efficiently. It was suggested I need a new unit and updated ducting… basically a lot of money I wasn’t prepared to spend. I got a second opinion from Smart 72 and I am glad I did. David was super knowledgable and didn’t try to oversell me. Turns out all I needed was the much cheaper updates to the ducts and additional output. Immediately noticed the difference even with the same AC unit. I haven’t used any of their other services but now I know where to go if I do. Honest service companies like this are hard to find.

My husband and I offered to help my elderly aunt and uncle with an HVAC issue they were having but since we were not from the area, we took to Unilocal.My aunt and uncle consulted with the company the prior owner used and we tried 3 other companies before we hit the jackpot with One Hour/​Smart72.
Two of the other companies told us the system wasn’t big enough for the house and that’s why they couldn’t get it to cool down the home. DC showed us that wasn’t the case; there were simply items that needed to be addressed. One Hour not only corrected it quickly but at a reasonable price. JACKPOT! Since then, my aunt and uncle happily report there are NO PROBLEMS! They also just had their yearly inspection, as previously scheduled, and there was nothing wrong with the system at inspection time.
Considering this required travel on our part and some long distance coordination, we can vouch for the integrity and consideration of DC and One Hour/​Smart 72. They were WONDERFUL and we are all very grateful, especially my Aunt and Uncle. Thank you DC and One Hour/​Smart72, you know what you’re doing and you’re worth it!

I was leery about purchasing a security system for our home but after speaking with David, I knew I had chosen the correct service for my home and my parents’ home. David was honest, concise, and didn’t try to «sell» me anything. (Which occurred with the two other companies I contacted)
William was friendly, efficient & thorough with each feature that was included in our package.
Both, David & William, provided their contact info and emphasized calling with any questions/​concerns.
I know I’m mentioning more about the customer care than the security system, but for me, this is often the most important thing. Meaning, if something isn’t working, I have a bill inquiry, etc., I want to contact someone immediately. And thus far, this has been done.
Smart72 has exceeded my expectations. We have 2 cameras, the smoke alarm & lamp module. (the extra camera – depending on your home– is definitely worth it)
