History

Established in 1999.

Originally from Bangor, Maine, Tobin cut his teeth at a top Manhattan documentary wedding studio late last century. In 2001 Tobin set out on his own from a studio in Brooklyn and has been publishing and showing fine art and seminal documentary work ever since. After a brief 5 year stint in Minnesota, Tobin calls Georgia home where he shoots gardens for the famous, makes really cool commercial pinup shots and competes with local wedding photographers for the tried and true wedding business.

Business Owner

Tobin’s professional life has been both to create beautiful images and study the incredible contrasts of culture unique to the United States of America. Today Tobin brings his deep understanding of culture to a variety of work: business identity, insightful documentary, carefully crafted editorial and gorgeous wedding photography.

Trained in a house full of art and music in Bangor, Maine, Tobin graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio and proceeded to travel the country from Bar Harbor to San Francisco to New York City, where he managed a top Manhattan wedding photography studio for two years before becoming a full time photographer.

This was way back when people used film.

Today Tobin lives in Athens, Georgia where he continues to publish writing and photography nationally while working with local magazines and businesses to carefully craft identity and identify effective visual communication.
