History

Established in 2012.

3 Minute Carwash & Detail is locally owned and operated by an Athens native, Alex Gordon. Alex has spent the past 20 years working in the carwash industry, including managing 7 locations over the past 15 years. Alex is now following his dream of owning and operating his own business, and also has a very experienced staff who has worked along side him for 10 years.

Alex has spent the past 20 years in the carwash industry, doing everything from wet sanding, buffing, scratch removal, pin striping, gold plating, engine cleaning, polishing, waxing, shampooing, cleaning and conditioning leather, etc… He is a Blue Coral Certified Detail Technician. Alex has managed 7 carwashes over the past 15 years, all locations were very successful under his management. Alex is also an Athens native, who grew up here and also went to school here. Alex is finally realizing his dream of owning and operating his own business. Alex has also been very sucessful maintaining longterm staffs including his current staff at 3 Minute Carwash & Detail who has been working with Alex for 10 years in the carwash business.

10 stars to these guys, they are awesome. Always nice and go the extra mile even if you are getting only a $ 3 wash. I drive to Athens from Atlanta everyday and I pass a million car washes but I will always choose this one simply because of the great service.

had a long wait and the staff was pretty rude. called and spoke to the owner and he promptly refunded half my money and was very nice. think i’ll go back– just not when it’s busy.

Got a full service car wash (Basic exterior\interior wash) that states it should take 20 mins. Waited for an hour while I watched the guys slowly clean my car and talk on their cell phones. Quality was average, but service was terrible.

Amazing service for a great price! I am very pleased with the Carpet Express service I had on my car. While it took about an hour (exterior + interior), the employee working on my car was extremely thorough and kind. I definitely recommend this car wash!

I attempted to wash my car here 10 days ago and then again today. No one came out to wait on me the first time but I gave them another try. The second chance was a second waste of time. Each time I used the free vacuum. Each time no towels were in the towel boxes. No one came to greet me, sell me a wash, or take my money when I advanced my vehicle to the entrance canopy either visit. Both times I waited over five minutes for service. Both times someone was was working on the machinery that guides tires into the wash. Both times I was ignored. Both times I left, as did another vehicle today that was also ignored. This cannot be a coincidence. This is not where I will entrust my vehicle’s care, nor choose to spend my money. No customer service, dirty facility, questionable machinery.

Been there twice now, the first time I waited an hour and a half for them to finish my car. They were busy and understaffed but ultimately did a good job.
Tried a second time, after the drive through wash I waited 35 minutes for them to start on my car. They then cleaned the inside for a total of 5 minutes, the inside of my car looked the same as when i brought it in. I actually went home and re vacuumed and wiped down the interior myself as soon as I left.
Waste of time and money. And the man who vacuumed my car thought it necessary to let me know they expect a tip before I leave. Not sure they deserve a third try.

I received great service in a timely manner! I picked the $ 20 interior/​exterior deal. They start you with an automatic wash, then hand dry and clean your interior. The only cons were that there were bug splatters still left on my front bumper and my dashboard still looked dusty. However, my car had more than the usual grime on it since I had just driven it across the country. I really recommend this place, and I would go again, considering an only-​auto carwash doesn’t nearly get my car this clean.

I have brought our cars to 3 Minute Car Wash at least 20 times. I feel that both the inside and outside are cleaned well and it’s better bang for your buck then other car washes in the area.

3 minute car wash? more like 2 hour car wash. i’m here now regardless of the first (negative) review i read on Unilocal simply because Unilocal had a deal going on. i came here at 3:10 to get an «express wax», which they state will be «less than 30 minutes». I expected that I would get out of here by 3:40 or 3:45 PM at the latest, which was perfect because I had a meeting at 4. I went to check whether they were done waxing my car at 3:55 PM and they hadn’t even started. I ended up pushing my meeting back to 4:30 and now they can’t even promise me that the wax will be done before then either. i’m pretty annoyed… i even brought cookies to give them after i got my car cleaned and waxed but now I’m definitely reconsidering it. Their customer service isn’t the best here either… Bottom line: come here when you have nothing else planned in the day and bring your laptop with you because you’ll be here for awhile.

I was majorly impressed with this place. I had driven by it a million times without ever noticing it, but stopped in because they were offering a deal on Unilocal.When I left, both the interior and exterior looked awesome, including my windows which are always smudged with my dog’s «nose art.» They were quick and professional and the waiting room was comfortable with couches and a large television to watch while you waited. I’ve gone to the car wash across the street a bunch of times, but this is a way better deal, especially if you want to leave it to professionals instead of doing it yourself.

It takes over 20 mins for them to get to my car, after it’s been washed. It sits there and air dries. Spots all over it. They miss places when cleaning the interior.
