History

Established in 1949.

Diles Hearing Center was initially established in 1949 and began operations in Athens in 1962. In the mid-1970’s, Diane McVey, audiologist and now President/​Owner of Diles Hearing Center, went to work for Bill Diles. During the early 1980’s, Bill looked toward retirement and plans were put in place for Diane to purchase the business. In 1994, Diane’s husband, Craig Johnson, built their current location at 275 West Union Street.

Today, Diles Hearing Center continues with the original slogan of «Helping People Hear since 1949.» Diane McVey and her staff of licensed audiologists and hearing instrument specialists pride themselves on providing quality, state– of-​the-​art hearing device technology and comprehensive, professional hearing healthcare while upholding Bill’s belief of treating people fairly and courteously.
