1866U-Moving

I used this moving company this past weekend after a long debate over which company to choose for my movers. I was hesistant at first because their quote was significantly lower (in my opinion) than their competitors. *About $ 30/​hr cheaper for a 3 man crew* In my head I was thinking…“you get what you pay for…” but I after reading the reviews and taking into consideration my move was somewhat «easy» (about a 10 mile relocation of a 1BR) I decided to chance it.
My move was quick and hassle free. The guys wanted to be done just as much as I wanted them to be done. However it didn’t feel like the process was rushed or careless just more so proficient and quick. I was moved with 15 mins to spare on my 3hr minimum. I thought this was pretty good considering I moved from the 4^th floor (with an elevator) to a 3^rd floor with no elevator.
All of my furniture was wrapped in blankets or stretch wrapped.
Only one small scratch was found on a nightstand… otherwise everything looked great.
I would have liked to have gotten a 24 hr confirmation about my move but communication was good on the actual day of the move.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this moving company and would use them again myself.

Michael Gray and Stan Lewis were my movers and they were WONDERFUL!!! They made my move quick and as painless as possible. I highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again!

After reading the reviews here, then on Kudzu and CitySearch, it was clear to me that 1 866 U MOVING should do my next move.
I spoke on the phone with Kent who gave me a quote and explained how they operated. I inquired regarding the price for 2vs3 movers and concluded that having three guys works really well. Also all of their movers go through drug screening and background check to ensure that they are not sketchy types I had to deal with in the past.
I called back a few days later to set up a move. They were able to get me the time I wanted. They got my CC info and sent me a confirmation form that I filled out and sent back.
The movers got to my place on time and were really energetic and friendly. They grabbed all of my stuff and put it in the truck pretty fast. They shrink wrapped my furniture, and did not utilize any blankets.
We jumped on the highway and they followed me at my pace, which was really nice (55mph FTF). When we got to my new place they promptly started putting in the furniture. Despite having all of the boxes labled, they did not follow the names and just left the boxes in the front room to be moved by myself.
In the end they had a hard time moving in one of the bigger piece of furniture. After scratching my wall multiple times all three of them made one last push and got the piece in with a little scratch to the wall and multiple scratches to the unit.
In the end I really wanted to give these guys five stars as they were the cheapest in town and they were really energetic. However, when its time for them to jet I had to sing a piece of paper saying that everything was undamaged. I still had not had time to check the furniture.
After they left and I started moving things around, I noted that they dented one of my furniture pieces, scratched my bed frame, and put in some deep scratches to my sofa. All of these are easily hidden, but if I had to sell them I would not get the full used price. Also they did not put my mattress in a bag and left a nice little stain on it.
In comparison to other movers in town, these guys are pretty good, but if you want to do it perfectly, you have to do it yourself. Next time I’m providing them some blankets and bagging my mattress.

My husband and I just moved to Tucker and the two gentleman who helped us move were amazing. There’s a three hour minimum and we met it on the nose (and not a minute more!) thanks to the movers. We had Jerome and Johnny and they were absolutely fantastic. They were not only ridiculously focused and fast, they were very careful and worked nicely together to do everything efficiently. I was extremely impressed.
