Our Mission is to be Atlanta’s Premier Source for Innovative Comfort Footwear. What really stokes our coals is to turn somebody on to some really cool, comfortable shoes, and watch them walk out the door knowing they’ll never feel the same about their feet again. Our look may be far forward and progressive (some call us the «bleeding edge» of footwear retailing) but our methods are very traditional.

We want to pamper you in the kind of service you don’t get in retail stores anymore. We want to put on a show for you, with our products as the stars of the show. Some of our customer favorite brands include Birkenstock, Dansko, Merrell, Naot, Sanita, Toms, Ugg, Vibram Five Fingers, Inov8, and Chaco. We also carry Converse, Keen, Crocs, Reef, Simple, Terra Plana, Teva, Vans, Wolverine, Clarks, Red Wing, FitFlop, Frye, Mephisto, Rainbow, Saucony, MBT, Earth, Sperry, Airwar, and so much more.

History

Established in 1981.

Abbadabba’s was started by Janice Abernethy. Her tiny little crafts shop near Emory’s law school expanded into a booth at the Atlanta Flea Market and other flea markets. In 1981, Janice opened her first «real» store in Little 5 Points, Atlanta’s alternative neighborhood. The Little 5 Points store was a flea market in itself: toys, cards, gifts, jewelry, and some funny looking shoes in the back. In 1986, Janice’s husband, Bill Carmichael, left a career at Georgia-​Pacific to join Janice full time, and the decision was made to focus on footwear. Within a year, shoes accounted for most of our sales. Buoyed by metro-​wide customer enthusiasm, the Buckhead store was opened in 1990. Since then, we have continued to expand in Atlanta and now have four «bricks and mortar» locations (East Cobb, Buckhead, Kennesaw and Little 5 Points) and online sales at cool​shoes​.com.

This shoe store is all about those awesome comfortable flats that you want to wear until the rubber come off the bottoms. They have a huge selection of Vans, Doc Martins, Toms, Birkenstocks, and New Balance. They also have speciality shoes like a small selection of running shoes and hiking shoes.

If you want to shop local this is the place to go. They have an amazing selection of shoes — Converse, Vans, Newtons, Saucony and so much more. they have a huge selection of adult shoes — and a really nice selection of children’s shoes.
and they have a wall of flip flops! The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable– yet not pushy.
It’s in a really hip area of town. If you need new kicks this is the place to come!

Abbadabba’s is about as far from the typical mall discount shoe store as you can get, which befits a L5P business. Here you’ll find a good array of name brands selling at a reasonable cost, along with higher-​end shoes and boots carrying eye-​opening price tags. All high quality stuff, though, so the prices aren’t out of line.

This might be in the top 5 of my most amazing customer service experiences, in retail that is. To sum up my review, SHOP ABBADABBAS, BUY THE SANITAS, and THANK YOU SO MUCH IAN!
I’ll start the review with my original purchase (in July of 2014).
I am a server, so often I am on my feet 10 – 14 hours a day. Naturally– my feet hurt. A coworker of mine (who has been a server for decades) suggested that I invest in «Sanitas» (if you’re a nurse, doctor, server, e.t.c., look them up!). So I went to Abbadabbas to look for a pair. One of the sales associates there showed me their selection of Sanitas, as well as another company names Dansko (whose shoes run about $ 5 less than styles that parallel Sanitas). I left with a pair for $ 130.
Fast forward a few months to November 2014… My feet were still hurting. I’m not a doctor (yet) so a $ 130 waste of money was heartbreaking. I sent the Abbadabba’s corporate page on Facebook (the one that puts out their ads) a message detailing my purchase and the dissatisfaction that followed. They told me that they would contact the store and let them know I was coming in to have the shoes examined.
When I went in, I was immediately greeted and helped by Ian. He explained to me that Dansko was previously owned by Sanita, so Sanita made their soles. But since being sold, Danskos are no longer handmade, so the feel of the shoe is entirely different. He presented me with a pair of Sanitas nearly identical to the pair of Danskos I brought it… And after I found a pair that fit, he exchanged them for free! Now this may not seem like a big deal, but their exchange policy is 30 days. I came in FOUR MONTHS after I bought my shoes. Their condition was still nearly perfect, but still! What store does that?!? Only ones that care about your feet ;-) Ian never seemed annoyed or incredulous (which I expected seeing as though I bought the shoes 4 months ago). He was happy to assist me in any way possible.
I have since experienced ZERO discomfort with my shoes. So spend the extra $ 5 and get a handmade pair of Sanitas!

Abbadabba’s is a must-​visit for lovers of quality footwear, especially those for whom Amazon and Zappos order screens are a heavy trip and a seemingly unavoidable besmirchment of one’s shiny little hippie sole.
Guilt tripping or not, this location on 5 points main strip deserves a look anytime you’re in the area. Their selection is very well curated for such a small space, with many brands that are hard to find all in one place and in such numbers in Atlanta – Camper, Frye, Birkenstock, Rainbow, Olukai, Toms… and the real win – the big reason to come back often – is that their clearance rack in the back is larger than it looks and is often stocked with surprisingly good shit. And anytime I check the price I paid against the web, it’s at least on par if not slightly cheaper. The people are also very friendly here, so that’s icing on the cake.
Check Abbadabba’s out, even if you have to drive a bit. The spontaneous shoe discoveries I’ve made breezing through here are usually much more satisfying than the glazed-​eyed decisions I make after 3 hours of loafing around the interwebs.

So Abbadabba’s Little Five has gone above and beyond in both communicating with me about this issue and in taking steps to help alleviate the issue for future visits. I haven’t managed to have time off during the day since to go, but I am looking forward to going the next time I have time during a weekday.

I had in mind that I was going to purchase some high-​end work boots and had already done some research. The guy who helped me already owned one of the pairs of boots I was thinking about buying so he was able to answer a bunch of my questions. I was also able to try on several sizes and see them on my feet to find the right pair. Yeah I probably could have saved some money and bought online, but the experience was worth it.

This is my favorite spot to go for cool and comfy shoes. The people are all nice, knowledgeable and very patient, and I always look forward to the visit. I recently took my niece who was DESPERATE for her first pair of Tom’s. She must have tried on about 12 pairs before she found the right style and fit. The guy who was helping us gave us good advice and was incredibly patient throughout the process. He was probably in his 20s and was talking with my 9 year old niece about fashion and why he likes red shoes. It made her feel special, and I was pretty impressed with how well he was able to relate to kids (a very rare thing in any normal store). Aside from that, I’ve been to the store about 20 times (I clearly buy way too many shoes) and have always had a good experiences just about every time. When I leave, I always end up with shoes that are unique, well-​made, long-​lasting and incredibly comfortable.

I am always in the market for a great pair of Tom’s wedges. I was out of town when Abbadabba’s had a big sale this weekend. Ian sent me a bunch of pix of the sale shoes in my size and I was able to purchase with him by phone. GREAT customer service! They have always been wonderful when I visited the shop, too.

My fiancé and I have been customers of Abbadabba’s for many years as we are both chefs and this is where we always buy our Birkenstocks. Today I was planning on purchasing a new pair and made my way to the Abbadabba’s in little five points. I was greeted by the cashier but it took about 10 minutes for anyone to approach us to help us out. When a employees had asked us what we were looking for we had asked about the selection and he said all he had was on the floor. I had then asked how much the industry discount was and was told you haven’t been doing that for some time. My fiancé had just bought his new pair of birks a few months before and they had given him the discount. We calmly said this to the employee and said that was a little disappointing and if that’s the case then I probably wouldn’t buy them there because there are other places that do give a industry discount and even online I had found some for about $ 40 cheaper and that was including shipping. In this time we never got uspet we just said that it was a shame. In response to this the man got a attitude and snapped at us «well buy them online then» and just walked away. With this we walked out of the store feeling a little upset that an employee would think it was ok to treat someone that way, it’s not like I wouldn’t have bought other shoes there just not my birks. We got to our car and decided to call the store and ask to speak to the manager. We gave the description of the man who we dealt with to the manager once the manager got on the phone and found out that the guy who was so rude WAS the manager. My fiancé said that he had never been treated so badly as a customer and that we would never go back into another abbadabba’s again, the guy didn’t really seem to care. I didn’t think this was appropriate behavior and I would surely hope this wasn’t a reflection on how Abbadabba’s would like to be known for. I am writing this letter to let you know that because of this, this company has lost at least $ 300 a year from one household and possibly anyone else who asks me where to go to get their kitchen shoes.
I had also written corporate this letter 2 weeks ago… no response. I guess customer satisfaction isn’t really a priority.

This store looks great, in theory.
I’ve been to Abbadabba’s a number of times when I’m itching for a new pair of Converse. I’ve never walked out with a purchase because they never have the most common size, 8 in women’s, in the most common Converse color, black. They can order them, but I came into the store to walk out with new sneaks. Most of the time I just resort to Zappos.
The store is super fun to shop in though. Lots of cool brands and I always see something I want, but most of the time they never have my size so I just get ideas more then anything.

I’m in love with this store! As a huge Doc Marten fan, this was the only store I called and VISITED that had them in stock and in my size. The employees were so helpful and you can crack a joke or two with them. I will definitely be back SOON!

Abbadabba’s has the best selection of contemporary and eclectic styled shoes. When I was searching for Converse «Chuck Taylor’s» they were the first place I called. All the other shoe stores hadn’t received their shipments yet. Thanks Abbadabba’s!!!

Great place, like so many in L5P for finding those exclusive, hippiehipsterhiphop shoes. Mostly sneakers, but they also have boots, sandals, and those crazy foot-​glove shoes that seem to be the rage these days. They also actually have a great selection of sunglasses.

Whenever I’m here… my hippie soul is at home. Not only can you find any kind of flip flop you could think of, but the look and feel of the store is completely relaxing. The employees are even laid back, but also really know their products. Prices are competitive with the brands… no hidden extra costs here.
Parking…there’s a lot behind the store that’s free during the day, but expect to pay $ 5 on the weekends.
Note — they offer many kinds of shoes (boots, sneakers, crocs, whanot)…flip flops are just my favorite. :)
Overall…this is the perfect place to find your next pair of shoes, as well as your inner hippie.

First off, I thought the name of this store was Abracadabra. As such, I thought it was a magic store. I decided to step inside. Imagine my shock, and somewhat disappointment, to learn it was a shore store.
It offers a wide array of shoes, some inexpensive others not so much. In addition to shoes, they also offer a variety of hats. Nothing really stood out in the store to me. That being said, I really don’t have any negative comments as well.
The only thing I was drawn to were the boots, some of which were high-​end. I guess they’re handmade or have a strong reputation because some of them were costly.
In regards to the sneakers and shoes they offered, none were of my taste. I may check in every now and then to check out their boot selection.

People people you don’t go to this store looking for inexpensive shoes you go to this store looking for hard to find shoes. My husband and I stopped in here after hearing that they had a huge selection of vibram five fingers.
Well to make a long story short I had been looking at this one pair of five fingers for months but they have never been available on line and I could not find a pair anywhere to save my soul. Walk into Abbadabba’s and there they are on their vibram display!
I told the husband to move some money around because I am getting them. Well much to my disappointment they did not have my size. But the sales rep called every single store until he found a pair (which he did in Kennesaw). They let me pay for them in the store in the Highlands to ensure they would not get sold.
When I need a hard to find or unique shoe I won’t waste any time, I’ll just head straight to Abbadabba’s even if it is not in their store I am sure they will help me find what I am looking for.

Jessica wanted to stop in here to check out the shoes. It’s been awhile since I have been here and figured out why… this place is so not me. Don’t get me wrong… I love shoes but this shoe store is for the nature friendly type that enjoy wearing sandals and the ever gross Crocs. Just seeing the amount of Crocs available and the colors to choose from almost made me puke in my mouth!
If you are a skater, this is a pretty good place to get your shoes as well since they have a nice assortment of Vans and Converse. Way to bring it back Abbadabba… although some need to stay back… way back!
The only plus for me is that they sell my favorite hats here! The brand is called Goorin and they are the hottest caps ever! If I ever step back into this store again, it would just be for a hat and maybe some aqua shoes for the beach.

I will say I am not a fan of those weird-​looking Crocs shoes, so I cannot comment on the array of colors. I come here for the Vans/​Converse selection. I have feet the size of a first graders, so it’s usually hard for me to find these brands in my size. And I hate ordering online. So Abbadabba’s usually has what I need.
They also have dressy, non-​leather shoes made especially for those of us who choose not to wear leather, but they come with a hefty price tag.
