Amy Varner, MD

Dr. Varner, her assistant Cheryl, and even the people who answer the phones are wonderful. You can tell that they really care about what is best for their patients and they go out of their way to make sure that you get the care that you need. I am very happy with this physician and her team.

Dr. Varner is a wonder doctor — one of the best physicians I’ve been to see. Sadly, the office itself (Primary Care Physicians of Atlanta) is something of a soulless meat grinder. I miss the days when Dr. Varner worked out of a smaller office in Inman Park.

I have been seeing Dr. Varner for about 2 years now and I never hesitate to recommend her to friends and family. She is personable, warm, and down to earth. Finding a new doctor can be a pain and I did a lot of research before seeing Dr. Varner.
So far, I have only been for basic preventative care but even with basic care you can tell when your doctor doesn’t care or isn’t listening. I never get this vibe from Dr. Varner. The office staff here are professional and efficient, too.
The parking deck is a bit archaic and they only take cash or check, which nobody really carries anymore, but the lobby of this office building does have an ATM. You will have to pay for parking as they do not validate. Also, make sure you are on time, if not early for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late… better luck next time!

This review will be really simple: If you need a new Doctor, Dr. Varner should be your first stop. You won’t need to go anywhere else.
She’s easily the nicest, most helpful doctor I’ve ever visited, and her good attitude is reflected in every one of her staff. I can’t sing her praises loudly enough.

Great experience. Office is comfortable and well run. Very little wait and Dr. Varner is great. She made me feel comfortable and took her time explaining stuff and was thorough.

I stumbled across Dr. Varner’s office, Inman Park Physicians, after a hair cut a few weeks ago. I’ve been looking for a new doctor, so I decided to give it a whirl. Let me tell you, I’m sure glad I did.
From the time I called to make the appointment all the way through check out, it was the best experience I’ve had in years. Even though I was a new patient looking to get a physical, they were able to fit me in VERY quickly — no two month wait here. The office staff was helpful with scheduling at a convenient time for me to be away from work. Parking is a breeze in the new development along Highland, too.
Dr. Varner and her assistant Jermaine are AWESOME! I simply cannot say enough good things. Jermaine was funny and relaxing when I was nervous about having blood drawn. Dr. Varner took the time to talk to me and go over my medical history thoroughly before the exam ever began, she was gentle and thoughtful during, and afterwards we actually sat down in her office to go over everything. To my absolute shock, she personally called me twice in the following week to discuss my test results and follow up plan.
A later issue (I lost a prescription) resulted in a super quick and personal response from Jermaine.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable physician with which to actually have a relationship, I would highly recommend Dr. Varner!
