Ansley Chiropractic Associates

Been seeing Dr. Knight for several months now and I’m quite happy. Not only do the adjustments help, but his advice for preventing my lower back troubles have helped a lot, too. They’re also very flexible with scheduling.

I’ve had a few chiropractors before and since moving to Buckhead, I figured I needed to find one in the area. I was an original chiropractic skeptic until I found that with appropriate care (i.e. you shouldn’t have to be dependent on your treatment and it won’t fix everything) I had some surprising adjustments to my overall health and some specific things even went away.
That said I was very grateful to find that Dr. Polk is in this caliber of chiropractors. She’s not going to give you a treatment you don’t need just to make money. She’s very down to earth and skilled at her repertoire of techniques. She doesn’t believe in a one-​size-​fits all approach and will refer out for other services if needed. I also appreciate her sense of humor and relaxed candor.
The atmosphere in the office is very laid back and Mary, the administrative assistant, is incredibly friendly! They call with a reminder before every appointment which is appreciated.

I researched chiropractors in depth in Atlanta before deciding on Dr. Donna Polk. I have a pinched nerve and have been in pain for years before seeing Dr. Polk. I tried cortisone shots several times, physical therapy and other chiroprators. Nothing was working for me until I went to Dr. Polk. My pain is gone and my life has changed drastically from being under Dr. Polk’s care. I have recommended 2 family members and several co-​workers to Dr. Polk. I would highly recommend Dr. Polk to anyone she is life changer!

Dr. Donna Polk is amazing! Not only can you count on her for great conversation and a laugh but I always leave there feeling better. The best chiropractor in town!

I was very pleased with Dr. Polk, the methods of Chiropractic care used, and the office in general (nice, clean, modern). Past the normal spine treatment, Dr. Polk treated my extremities, specifically my knee and wrist. Extremity treatment is big for me… so this was a huge bonus. If you’re looking for a well-​rounded Chiropractor, a trip to Ansley Chiro Associates is a real treat.

I’ve been to a couple people to adjust my back with only great experiences in the past. I was adjusted by Dr. Knight after my back started hurting. I hurt much worse the day after and in places that did not hurt before. I can’t walk normally right now. He was not clear about what the issue was in the first place. Worst chiropractor experience I’ve ever had.

I was not someone who grew up going to chiropractors so was a bit skeptical, but was having some back pain in my sedentary job and decided to try one out. I found the business here on Unilocal and am glad I did. I have been seeing Dr. Knight for about 6 months and my back has felt great. He gave me some tips for making my desk area more ergonomically friendly. I’m down to about once a month adjustments which I actually look forward to. I would recommend this business to anyone, especially a first-​timer.

I’ve always been a skeptic of chiropractors but Dr. Knight has me convinced (at least about this practice). I’ve hurt my back a couple of times and had some injury to my shoulders that he has helped me with tremendously. I can’t praise them enough.
As an aside, the office is clean. They’re professional. The appointments have been on time.
I really can’t say enough about them.
UPDATE!!! (One year after original review)
I really injured another area of my back this week while working out and, yet again, Dr, Knight was able to get me pain free in no time. He is helpful and always willing to provide advice.
I am SO glad to have found this office.

So, just for kicks and giggles I decided to get an adjustment. I’m rather fond of the Ansley mall area so I closed my eyes and picked this placed, so to speak.
Dr. Polk is pretty cool. She has a «hippy» vibe… very laid back. Trust me, you want this when you’re about to get your back cracked lol.
She welcomed all questions and thoroughly explained the process, what she looks for and a little of how its done… then we commenced with the evaluation. Dr. Polk first examined my spine, then pulled out a model of a spine and explained what she saw was «off». Then I laid on the table, got into a modified fetal position and…
*CRUNCH*
It actually didn’t hurt in any capacity… on of those «it sounds worse than it is» deals. But man… I definitely noticed a difference when I left! I mean I wasn’t back-​flipping into the splits when I left (mainly because I couldn’t do that anyway… ha!) but I really did feel better. She recommended a couple of follow up visits and sent me on my way.
I also appreciate that she didn’t try to make it sound like I needed to come back every week for the rest of my life. That’s pretty cool.

Apparently this business can’t be bothered returning phone calls. I left a message requesting an appointment Feb. 21, 2013 during business hours. No call back in more than 24 hours. NOT impressive for 2 reasons:1. nobody to answer phones live during business hours; 2. no returned call. Very unprofessional. Just based on this I’m willing to bet most of these glowing reviews are phony. I’ll gladly update this review if anyone ever bothers to call back.

Dr Polk and the staff at Ansley Chiropractic is amazing. from the friendly faces and warm inviting atmosphere to the top of the line treatment and equipment this is an all around win. Visit Dr Polk one time and you will not even think about seeing anyone else!

With massage chairs, good reads, friendly staff and a concerned doctor that provides results, I’ve been very happy here. It makes me wish I could be in and out of all doctor’s appointments within 15 minutes and with such effective results.
In my short time with Dr. Polk, I’ve had relief from years of chronic leg/​ankle problems. I had been to physical therapy and other specialists, but something never quite was right, so it was really nice to get another perspective and holistic perspective to my issues. This is my first experience with a chiropractor, and it made sense to me that being out of alignment or having locked joints made my physical therapy not work as well.
Besides feeling better, one key thing I’ve learned is more insight into the nature of my issues and how to prevent re-​injury. Additionally, the atmosphere is always calming and there is a variety of modalities used for treatment, some which I also had in physical therapy, such as ultrasound and laser light. I appreciate the extra considerations I’ve received. It is really wonderful to walk out the door feeling much better than you did going in.

I have to admit that for the longest time I was a big skeptic of Chiropractic. It wasn’t until I found myself with chronic neck pain and persistent headaches that I sought alternative treatment options. A friend highly recommended Dr. Donna Polk and said I would be in great hands. She was absolutely right! My headaches are gone and my neck pain has subsided. Dr. Polk did a wonderful job of allaying my concerns and made me feel very comfortable from the start. She has been able to help me tremendously and I’m thrilled to be back on the path to healing and wellness. Dr. Polk is an extremely knowledgeable practitioner with high integrity. Plus, she is gentle and compassionate. I definitely recommend her!

Dr. Polk is absolutely the best chiropractor around. I travelled very regularly for work for almost two years and all of the time on the plane, in hotel beds, etc., really did a job on my back. Dr. Polk had me feeling better than I have felt in years within just a few weeks, and that was only the beginning as I still see her for regular adjustments that continue to improve my back. She really takes time to understand your needs so she can craft the right treatment and she often follows up her adjustments with an additional treatment (for example: ultrasound) to speed your recovery. I also paired Dr. Polk’s adjustments with massage treatment with Mark 2 – 3 times. Mark is a talented and thoughtful massage therapist and he and Dr. Polk work closely to ensure you are getting the most effective/​holistic treatment when you visit. And one final note — Dr. Polk’s practice is very much out of the way for me (I work in Sandy Springs) but that has absolutely no bearing on whether I visit her on a regular basis. She is WELL worth the drive!!!

I just completed my second visit at Ansley Chiropractic Associates and these reviews have been spot on! I see Dr. Brian Knight and he has been fantastic! I like to stay in shape (I play a lot of basketball) and understand I cant beat father time. My trainer recommended I see a chiropractor (since I had never been) to check my alignment. Dr. Knight clearly explained everything he was going to do (using a model of the spine) and how I would feel afterward. Everything he said was 100% accurate. Looking forward to my next appointment!

After back surgery, and some nerve damage sustained in surgery. I was left in pretty bad shape for several years. My brother was seeing Dr. Donna for some neck issues, and highly recommended her to me. I was extremely hesitant due to the road of pain and discomfort I had already been down. Just didn’t see how I could be helped at that point. I met with Dr. Donna, and she explained to me her approach with people that have had major surgeries in the past. There were no major table adjustments; just subtle corrections that she did over time that have made a lasting positive effect on me. My pain has gone from a constant 6 – 7 to a zero. Dr. Donna is amazing, and I highly recommend!

Dr. Polk has taken care of me for many years now and recently, after a lapse without treatment, i was running and «threw my back out» and was completely immobile. I was so nervous and afraid that something was seriously wrong. After a day of ice and meds, I called her and she saw me on a SUNDAY. That was a wonderful surprise! She made me feel so safe and comfortable and I absolutely knew she could help me. All this without any lecture of not seeing her for a while. That was great. It’s hard to be in pain and also feel guilty. She met me where I was (which was in serious pain) and we moved forward. With a few sessions, I was in a place of recovery and back to exercising. She uses cold laser therapy, ultrasound therapy and tens unit, if needed.
The office is so warm, welcoming and peaceful. The massage chairs in the waiting room are an added bonus to seeing her and I never ever feel rushed.
I trust her knowledge, her expertise, her skills and know that she really cares about her patients!

This place rocks! Dr Donna Polk has been taking care of me for over a year now. She is awsome and always know’s what buttons to push to get me back (no pun intended) into the swing of things. Now they have aquired the services of Mark Mashburn for massage therapy and I can not say enough about how well this has complimented an already INCREDIBLE business. I refer friends and co-​workers to them all the time and have always heard nothing but GREAT things aftewards.

Dr. Polk is great! I recently moved back to the Atlanta area and was looking for a good chiropractor. After reading numerous reviews, I felt like Dr. Polk was a good fit. I set an appointment and met with Dr. Polk. I was very impressed. Because I had been to chiropractors for numerous years, she didn’t take needless xrays because I knew what was wrong and knew the diagnosis. She always remembers my name (from the very first visit) and is very friendly and down to earth. She also graduated from my alma mater, Georgia College, so she wins points for that too. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

I started going to Dr. Brian Knight about a year ago and he has been great. He shares the office with Dr. Polk and they have a very clean, friendly office to go to. Dr. Knight is very experienced and knowledgeable about the body and how it functions.
He really takes the time to figure out what is going on and tailors each appointment to what you need and based on your history and current needs.
He works with insurance and communicates well in terms of billing, etc. He has a great network of other doctors, that have a range of services and if he doesn’t feel like he can give you exactly what you need and can refer you to those people.
As long as I’m in Atlanta I know I have a great chiropractor which helps me feel great which allows my body to function at its full potential.
