Atlanta Lock and Key

Worst customer service– sketchy– and over priced.
My key had broken off into my ignition and then I gaffed and locked myself out of my car. Called 24 hour Atlanta lock and key– and talked to a girl that said she could take care of that no problem– get me a new car key and also unlock my door for 125.00– that’s sounds about right, I’ve had my key replaced before– but then she says– «oh wait, the technician will need to remove the key… it’ll be 185.00» I told her that won’t be necessary, and explained that I had previously removed the key– and could easily do so again. And then she argued with me– with a tone and cadence that oozed… attitude and irreverence. And she argued and argued and argued. Her logic went like this «Look, our technician isn’t going to go and unlock your car and wait for you to remove the key» — But my car is at my house and I would be greeting them– while standing next to my car, and when they unlocked it– to avoid a $ 60.00 additional charge– I would remove the key with tweezers– NBD. She kept arguing and then I said «Don’t you see how ridiculous it is to be charged 60 dollars for something as simple as removing a a piece of metal from my ignition?» Then she retorted «Don’t you see how ridiculous it is to have someone wait for you to remove it?!» Very RUDE! I asked to speak to a supervisor and of course she said «I am the supervisor!» I told we argued some more– and then some expletives were exchanged and I hung up. I understand that I should be charged for a service– but honestly, I just called Atlas Lock Solutions and they quoted me 99.00– perhaps 20 dollars more for additional labor– that is for unlocking my car, taking the dang key out, and making a new one. — Learn to compete in todays economy Lock and Key.

I called to get pricing on duplicating keys, and after I was told it’s $ 2/​key PLUS an $ 88 service call, he hung up on me. So I guess when I need a service call in the future, I won’t be calling this company.
