Bank of America

These guys were great! I had a problem with my ATM card on a Saturday and getting to my account (some kinda glitch). They fixed everything with in minutes and were very nice.

Very nice workers. Bring my 5 lbs dog in there and they are so nice to my son. Think he may have more money in the bank than me lol

Its a real shame that you can get friendly and efficient help in most any branch of Bank of America, but the core company remains evil and inflexable to this day. So I rated the COMPANY, not the teller help.
I was an account holder here since Bank South, 18 years ago. Went with them through Nationsbank merger and then to BofA. At that point things started going downhill and continued.
I would get notice that my checking was no longer free, unless I closed it out and opened another online. I did. Had to pay for new checks and change all my auto pays. It was all done in hope Id just roll over and pay the fee. No way!

Then a year and a half later I get another letter, fees are starting unless…
I decided ok just dump the acct. They had irritated me countless times for menial things. I did their promos… yet sometimes didnt get the bonus. Finally one day I go in to close the acct. They send you to an acct retention person. Its such a shame but the reason people close accts here is NOT at all the fault of the person who tried to talk you out of closing it, but when you do close it that person gets a score over that lost acct. I wont go into all the things they did to me over time… but there were many. It’s a shame some person got a bad mark becasue the company outside the branch pissed me off.
Every so often I go through my accounts and check each one just to make sure nothing is happening. I see one of my 2 BofA remaining credit accts is one month and three days overdue. $ 15 for the first month, $ 35 for the last three days, total fee $ 50.
I notice its on paperless! I never ever do that as that paper is a reminder that something has gone on and to pay! How that happened without me knowing?
No email no statement. I try to pay online it wont let me pay. I used to pay online. Arrrrgh! I call back and ask for a waiver of some of the fees. The answer is a FLAT NO! NO WAY!
It doesnt matter how many years you have been there. It doesnt matter that you have been a great payer forever. It doesnt matter that the other card is the main one I still use and charge a LOT and have never ever been late. No waivers. So I ask what happens if I dont pay the fees, well… they wont tell you, but I could see it might interfere with my great credit rating. I make the extra $ 50 payment and close this card too. Screw em! There are many credit unions around who treat you right and there are 2 just a stones throw away from this branch that will take ANYONE. Fee free! I already bank at both anyway. So who needs the big bank! If you dont know who they are, its Georgias Own at 13^th and Peachtree and the new Delta Area Credit Union across from the Mitchell house off 10^th. Plus if you dont already know, you can go into just about ANY credit union and do a transaction for ANY OTHER credit union FEE FREE. So you got the coverage of your monster bank that you dont need. You can be traveling all over the country and walk in or use most ATMS and no fee no problem!
The folks in the branches are almost always great. My hope is when the economy picks up, they are able to jump ship as I can only imagine what they have to deal with! If they (the corporate level) continue to treat customers badly one can only imagine how bad it must be for them.

The bank is great, but the location is not optimal. Try to get street parking if you need to run in — don’t even worry about the parking garage. I’ve been there a couple of times for the ATM and I’ve always gotten space just across the street.

This place gets one star because they have a million signs pointing into the 1010 garage for free parking for banking/​ATM use.
Actually, the door to the bank lobby (where the ATMs are located) is locked from the parking lot after 5pm.
Good luck trying to easily park and use that ATM after banking hours.

Going to the bank is, more often than not, a pretty painful chore. Long lines, disinterested staff, and stupidly confusing rules and policies. Not a fun trip. Luckily, this new Bank of America is quite lovely.
I’ve had to actually go in to the building twice now, and both times have been shockingly pleasurable experiences. Friendly greetings from every staff member and quick and easy transactions, no matter how complicated they may be. You won’t get out of here without a few «good afternoons» and «how are you todays» and it’s all quite refreshing. Also, this is likely me being biased, but I love that everyone who works there is young and hip: just makes the whole vibe more fun when I can compliment my teller’s shoes while she’s printing out paperwork for me.
While I am certainly not a fan of Bank of America as a company due to their ridiculous fees, I have to say that this branch makes me happy that I’ve got them as my bank.
