As a bride, having gone through the entire process, and now bridesmaid in another wedding, I highly recommend staying away from Bella Bridesmaid. You want the vendors you work with to be flexible and accommodating — Bella Bridesmaid is the complete opposite of that. I went with my maid of honor to have her try on dresses at their Atlanta store, and it was a big production of filling out all these forms/​questionnaires when I didn’t even know what bridesmaid dress I wanted or whether I was going to buy from their store. All of my bridesmaids are all over the place (LA, Boston, NY) so I thought Bella would be a good choice since there were stores in major cities. Well I went home to Boston for a trip to do wedding stuff and thought I could then go try on dresses with my other bridesmaids in Boston and I call to make an appointment and am told since I already started at the Atlanta store (apparently they lay claim to me) the Boston store could only do a «courtesy» fitting on one day of the week at one time (when I was no longer going to be in Boston!). Thanks for your flexibility in fitting me in! That was the end of me dealing with them. Except that I thought maybe I will give them one more shot as a maid of honor in my friends wedding who lives up in Boston. She asked us to purchase one of a few styles of dress of a designer I know Bella Bridesmaid has. I decided to call them and give it a shot… I should have known. After telling the woman that I am not the bride, and the bride is up in Boston and I do not know who she has an account with, they charge $ 20 to TRY ON a dress at their store. You really have got to be kidding me. Never had any experience remotely similar at any other bridal store I went to in Atlanta or Boston. Stay away from them. Horrible customer service and method of dealing with people.

I have ordered two dresses from Bella and been fitted for two others being ordered outside of Atlanta. Mandi, the owner, has been prompt in responding to calls and emails, and extremely helpful in the store. She has a great selection of dresses. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for bridesmaids’ dresses!

I’ve ordered three bridesmaid dresses through Bella Bridesmaids the past two years and would have chosen to order my own bridesmaid dresses through them if I had not been living across the country during the planning phase of my wedding. Note, you do have to make an appointment but that’s not uncommon in the bridal industry.
I’m quite surprised about all of the negative reviews and would definitely encourage people to check them out while shopping around for bridesmaid dresses. I’ve been shopping with brides twice at Bella and always had a great time. I felt like the staff at Bella was always knowledgeable, helpful and never pushy. I also have never heard any complaints about the overall process from any of the brides of the weddings I ordered dresses for.
They have a great selection of high-​end bridesmaid dresses at a variety of price points. I’ve been in both with a small group (just myself and the bride) as well as a larger group. They were great both times, giving us the right amount of space to shop around, explore different options and just chat with each other. But then they would pop in at the right time to ask if we needed anything and also were completely helpful if we asked for help pinning, etc.
The ordering process has been moved to an online platform which makes it even easier for your bridesmaids to order and pay for their dresses.

It is extremely difficult to work with this franchise. Brides are told that their bridesmaids can have a complimentary fitting at any location nationwide. This location will only accommodate bridesmaids during the week, when they are open from 10 – 6. Difficult if not impossible for anyone who works in an office environment.

I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience with Bella Bridesmaid has been so terrible that I had to warn people. My future sister-​in-​law is getting married in April, and we all ordered our dresses in November (7 bridesmaids total).
We all (including the bride) get an email early March saying the dresses are delayed and that they are «confident» they will arrive before the wedding. They sent that email before even notifying the bride, which was very inappropriate.
We then receive another email mid March saying they will have tracking numbers for us on the following Tuesday. I emailed them on Wednesday asking for an update since tracking numbers were never sent, and they did not respond.
Three days later they send another email to all of us saying the dresses have not even shipped from oversees yet. They assured us they would be overnighted to each of us once they arrived and were scheduled to arrive at our houses today (³⁄₂₄). The bride, myself, and two other bridesmaids have emailed Bella Bridesmaid (yesterday and today) asking for updates because the dresses have still not been delivered and the tracking numbers they finally sent us show that nothing has been shipped. No one from Bella Bridesmaid has responded to us or given us any updates.
I would never recommend this store to anyone. I understand that they are at the mercy of the manufacturer, but their lack of response and customer service has been completely unacceptable. I just pray that the dresses actually arrive before the wedding and that we don’t have to have any major alterations since we will have only a week (or less for people leaving early for the wedding) to get those done.

I don’t understand how stores like these still around. I walked in with my sister to show her a dress that I want her to order. The woman working there was completely rude. I said I understood we couldn’t try anything on because we didn’t have an appointment but could I show her the one dress. The other ladies working said yes of course but this woman said no. She said we couldn’t pull a dress because they don’t have time to put it back in the right spot if someone with an appointment wants to see it. We wanted to visualize one dress, really? I am in town with my sister for one day… Definitely will not be making an appointment here for her to try it on and now will not be ordering from them either. You can save at least $ 50 per dress by ordering online so I don’t know why anyone would pay the difference for this kind of experience. I hope this saves other brides and bridesmaids in the future.

We were very disappointed here! We went on a Saturday and they seemed very understaffed. The help we did get was not helpful at all. She kept showing us dresses above our price range and just stood around while we tried on dresses. We had to ask her for clips and she gave us one. They also have no good places to take pictures so we had to walk outside! Again… no help here at all. Only reason for two stars, is that they have a decent selection of dresses…

I happened upon Bella Bridesmaid when I was shopping for a formal dress (for a non-​wedding function) and I could not, for the life of me, find anything at any of the major department stores that looked remotely flattering. I needed a long gown that was simple, classy, and preferably not beaded. I’d driven past it many times and, on a whim, I thought I would give this place a try. Since I already know that most bridal-​related shops are appointment only, I called the store and the owner, Mandi, was more than happy to have me drop by that day!
When I arrived, she had some appointments she was working with, yet she made me feel more than welcome, and gave me the perfect balance of space and attention that I needed. She has so many dresses to choose from (like 800 or something crazy!) and she helped direct me towards ones that fit my budget and that she could order within the short time frame I needed it by. She found me a dress within the first five I tried on! You can tell she knows every dress in that store and which ones look good on any body type.
On a side note, while I wasn’t there for a wedding related reason, I’ve been a bridesmaid many times in my life and I have never seen a collection so extensive.
Of course, pricing is always an issue when you are asking friends to fork over money for a dress they may only wear once. After my experience at Bella, any bride looking for a more versatile bridesmaid dress will definitely find one here. I found a beautiful one that will probably only be attending a wedding as a guest :)
All in all, it was a very positive experience and the huge selection, plus the exceptional personal service from Mandi really made this cute boutique shine like a star!

Many times, you get what you pay for. This is NOT the case with Bella Bridesmaids. If I could give this shop no stars — I would. My cousin is getting married and has 9 Bridesmaids (myself included) and 1 Matron of Honor. That’s a wedding party of TEN. In my mind, that would be the type of revenue I would be excited about. PLUS, we’re all tall so we’re all paying for extra fabric (ca-​ching!).
My cousin is very organized and corresponded with the shop owner by email and by phone before we all arrived. She had many guests coming from out of town, so she wanted everything to run as smoothly as possible. Well I guess because my cousin is so well-​spoken (she is an educator after all), the shop owner ignorantly thought she was of another ethnicity.
When we arrived, the tone of the shop owner completely changed. A party of 10 grown women were ushered into a small, dimly lit back room between a utility closet and a bathroom. Mind you, when we arrived we were the only ones there. A smaller party arrived AFTER us and got the front room with all the space and lights. (STRIKE ONE)
Not only were we crammed in the back, but we were given the most incompetent assistant she had. No offense to her, I’m sure she was new (at least I hope to God she was) but this young lady didn’t know her right from her left. She was absolutely no help at all and had to keep running back and forth to the shop owner to get the simplest of questions answered. Common sense would have said to have her shadow someone who was experienced. (STRIKE TWO)
Since I was one of the bridesmaids who was a sample size, I was trying on most of the dresses. Unfortunately, little miss clueless really couldn’t help me or the other ladies get adjusted in the gowns because she was too busy asking questions. At one point I found myself clipping in the other bridesmaids! I’m sorry… Did I miss the part where I became employed by Bella Bridesmaids? Where’s my check?!
Let’s fast forward to when we’re about to leave and we’ve picked out the dresses we want. Several bridesmaids took pictures of the dresses and tags because they didn’t trust the assistant’s competency (See…I’m not the only one). We are then told we need to be measured… With our clothes ON. This along with another assistant’s lack of brain cells results in measurements that are as vast as the east and west coast. (STRIKE THREE)
The Matron of Honor who is normally a ¹⁰⁄₁₂ is told that she will wear a dress between 12 and 26. SAY WHAT!!! We are then all advised to go with the largest size and have our dresses altered. Hmm… That seems like a money maker if I’ve ever seen one. The ladies in the wedding party are all various sizes. Myself being one of the smallest. I was told I would wear between a 2 and a 6.
Fed-​up with this whole experience, I asked to try on some sample sizes (again) so I could figure out which size I needed. [NOTE: The shop carries sample sizes ONLY. We didn’t see a dress over a size 12.] The owner then comes over and questions her own assistant’s abilities. *side eye* (STRIKE…Does it even matter anymore? This place is OUT!)
To sum it all up:
I’m a blogger and was thinking about featuring this shop and suggesting it to my readers. I also have connections in Atlanta’s premier wedding industry. You never know who you’re talking to… always put your best foot forward. This was the only bridal shop we had booked an appointment with. They had our business. Due to this incident, we had to go somewhere else.
The dresses are wonderful, but that’s about it. In my opinion, if I’m going to spend more money… I expect a better experience. And isn’t that what it’s about? The bride (and the bridal party) is supposed to feel pampered and special. My suggestion would be to skip this bridal shop and take your business elsewhere. The owner needs to learn how to treat potential customers. Horrible customer service will follow you and a bad name will put you out of business.

I knew the exact bridesmaids dresses I wanted for my girls, so my experience with Bella Bridesmaid was super easy and they were great. Also the combo of me not needing my girls to appear identical and wanting their dress to somewhat fit their body type and style + my girls’ ability to turn their information in on time made this process seamless. Bella Bridesmaid were great, for my girls out of state they shipped their dresses directly to them, and kept in contact with me regarding the ordering and shipping of dresses at all times. I’ll easily admit that their dresses are not cheap and if you’re looking to save a penny this is not the place to go.

Oh, the bridal industry. It’s an evil, evil world. And as a bridesmaid several times over, I can say that Bella Bridesmaid doesn’t make the experience any better.
Yes, they have a great selection, and I love their premise. But it’s only open by appointment and if you’re a bridesmaid hoping to try on your size in a dress that the bride has already selected, they’re not exactly excited about opening up their doors for you. Yeah, even for a perfectly plain $ 300 dress. So what am I paying for, exactly?
The customer service isn’t there: most of my dealings with the women here have ranged from gruff to downright rude. And while they replaced it rather quickly, they lost the sash I had ordered for the flower girl. Not cool.

I was very excited about my visit to Bella Bridesmaid. After mistakenly thinking that Joan Pillow carried certain brands of bridesmaid dresses (website error) I sauntered on over to Bella Bridesmaid.
I did email about an appointment and got one response, but no confirmation. Of course to be fair, that was 99% my fault because I took a gamble to see if they could squeeze me and my schedule allergic sister in for a last minute appointment 48 hours before Saturday.
Thankfully, when we walked it, it wasn’t super busy and no one asked if we had an appointment at all. That good be because there were 2 of us, but it was really nice to go to a wedding boutique that was actually mellow. The sales girl gave us exactly the right amount of breathing room which was much appreichated. Honestly, the open and laid back atmosphere was half the reason I ended up choosing my dress from there instead of trying it on and going with an online retailer (i really need sky miles, but thankfully i love local businesses more)
That being said, the designers they carry are diverse and very elegant. Its pricey but sadly I’m quickly learning that in wedding world if you don’t go with resale or david’s bridal, you’re going to have to pay up. At least here you feel like the customer service matches the price you pay. The staff was perfect about answering my questions without hovering in that awful hawk like salesgirl way, and they were super helpful. They sent me a swatch from the bridesmaid dress to use as part of my wedding color palate in less than a week and have emailed me regular updates. I will definitely be back for the flower girl and ring bearer fun and will happily recommend this shop to other brides!

I made an appointment here for a courtesy fitting (we were ordering the dresses elsewhere bc the bride lives in another location). The girls were so nice and very helpful letting me try on all the styles of dresses and took my measurements for me. I was sort of nervous going in because I’d heard they can be kind of snotty especially if you aren’t buying anything, but I was pleasantly surprised just how friendly they were!

A plague on the household of anyone who thinks it is necessary to order bridesmaid dresses from a bridal shop. Regular dresses can be ordered in multiple sizes, too, and are generally (a) returnable (so you can make sure you get the right size), (b) higher quality at a lower price, and © don’t look like hideous bridal dresses. Note to crazed bride/​groom: all bridesmaid dresses look like bridesmaid dresses. They are NOT chic cocktail attire. We will NOT wear them again. I sincerely hope your Bride/​Groom follows my sage advice and lets you wear a normal dress, as my high school bf did. If, however, you are not so lucky, and your engaged friend chooses dresses from this joint (as my gay BF did), do yourself a huge favor and search for your dress online instead. Some lunatic at Bella gave him the impression that the dresses would be custom-​fitted. For $ 200? Methinks not. Instead, I ordered my dress from
and saved $ 50. The dress came the same day as the dresses the other girls ordered from Bella and is exactly the same. In fact, the additional money I didn’t spend at Bella is the only comfort I have as I sit here, swimming in black taffeta, traumatized at the thought of the seamstress cutting off the extra length I paid for. There’s no need to add insult to injury by paying too much for your own little taffeta nightmare, especially when you will probably have to pay for alterations due to wildly inaccurate size charts.

This place is a train wreck! Do NOT go here! I have ordered 4 bridesmaids dresses in the past few years and have never had an unpleasant experience until I came into this shop. They did my measurements and told me to order a size 12 dress in Vera Wang (which runs pretty true to size). I was perplexed by this because I am usually a ⁴⁄₆ in normal clothes and have never ordered bigger than a size 8 in a bridesmaid dress. I expressed concern about the vast difference between what they were telling me and my normal size but they assured me that was the size I should order and that they «would be with me every step of the way».
So, I got the dress and it was a tent (literally). There was four inches of space in the bust and it hung from my shoulders with a vast amount of space between the fabric and my body like a tent. Yes, 4 inches! I called them and complained and they said sorry and it was my problem. So much for being there every step of the way. The owner actually screamed at me on the phone and told me they would not pay for my alterations or subsidize them in any way. She also said there was no way the ladies who worked at the shop could have told me to order a dress that much bigger than my size. When I offered to send her a picture she then resorted to telling me the sizing is merely a suggestion and they are not responsible even though I was told by the 2 people who worked at the store that they were experts and I should trust them. The owner also used profanity on the phone and was otherwise completely unprofessional! I ended up having the dress reconstructed by a suit maker for $ 350. Do NOT allow these idiots to measure your bridesmaids. They already have to pay for the dress, don’t burden them with ridiculous alterations and a rude and incompetent staff as well.

After visiting every bridal shop in town with my friend, the bride, it was so nice to go to one place and focus on bridesmaid dresses. It’s more of an afterthought at most bridal salons (which is understandable).
But coming to one place, with such a nice selection and good service, made the dreaded bridesmaid dress decision a breeze. They are no-​fuss there and make you feel very comfortable. We were able to look through the racks on our own and had plenty of help when we needed it.
We were looking for a variety of dresses in the same fabric and color, so that the bridal party could choose a dress that flatters their body type. Our helper was able to point us in the right direction. We accomplished the task in minutes, after spending months looking online and debating.
I highly recommend a visit!

While looking for an «informal» wedding gown, I found that Bella carried some as well as bridesmaid dresses. The owner, Mandi, was extremely helpful and got back to me right away about looking for certain styles. When I arrived for my appointment, the small shop was packed, but I never felt neglected and Leslie was able to pick out several dresses for me to try out. They have a good assortment of dresses ranging from informal to all out glitzy, and the service and prices are excellent. I highly recommend making an appointment.
