Bella by Alethea MedSpa is great place to get your skin taking care of, specially for the first timer client. Look for Ms. Alethea she is the owner of the spa, friendly & accomodating, and she is the talented aesthetician. Yesterday i had my 1^st treatment and i will definitely come back. I believe i will get a great result after couple of more treatments. I do recomend Bella by Alethea MedSpa

On my sister’s recommendation, I tried Bella for laser hair removal. At my third appointment, when I arrived, Cher told me that the price has increased from $ 150 to $ 200 per treatment. A steep increase, and I was not happy that I was not told before I arrived for my appointment.
After three treatments (after having 6 treatments elsewhere), I wanted to discuss my treatment with Alethea as I had expected more success since I am the ideal coloring for laser hair removal (dark hair and light skin). Alethea returned my call after the first message I left with Leslie at the front desk, but I was at a meeting and could not answer. I left three more messages over the course of about 2 weeks. Not one was returned. At the last message, I told Leslie that if I did not receive a return call from Alethea that I would assume that she did not want my business. No return call, so I assume that Alethea does not want or need any more business.

I’ve been struggling with acne this past year and have tried everything to keep it under control. I came in for a deep cleansing and considered the ouchless acne laser treatment as an added option.
I don’t consider their deep cleansing facial actually DEEP CLEANSING. I’ve had other facials for the same price that included steam and other treatments that made my skin feel brand new and I could see that my skin felt and looked super clean right afterwards. I noticed some small whiteheads remained after the facial and mentioned it to Courtney but she just recommended I applied BHA overnight, which I already do. I expected a more thorough cleansing and exfoliation for the price. I felt that I already do the same process at home with maybe better products. I expected clinical grade products as well but found Queen Helene products were used.
What I did like was the laser treatment. Even for just one session I can feel my skin less oily in just two days. I plan to return for maybe two more laser sessions because I do believe that it does target the bacteria that remains even after a deep cleaning and that it helps with pore reducing benefits.
This is a great place that offers great treatments with a friendly and knowleadable staff. I would consider 5 stars in the future if I see improvements. A bit pricey but hopefully worth it.

Thank you Courtney for caring & going the extra mile with my skin. I have been going to the salon for quite some time now as time goes on there have been many changes. The prices are more expensive and there aren’t as many specials. Easy to book appointments. But I have to say if you’re looking for someone to be honest with your skin please visit Courtney.

Alethea has taken great care of my skin for the past several years and she always makes me feel comfortable! I was impressed with the unique approach to skin care utilizing a variety of techniques in just one treatment in order to get the best results for my skin. Love it!

I started going to Bella more than a year ago for microdermabrasion, and was immediately pleased with the level of service and knowledge of the technician. I had a recent visit for microdermabrasion with a laser add-​on, and I was even more pleased with this recent service delivered by Courtney. She was very attentive to the specific needs of my skin, and made sure to address all of my concerns during my visit. I will definitely return to see Courtney and the team at Bella in a few weeks for a follow-​up service.

Love Bella! The MedSpa offers a variety of services from facials to various lasers and the staff is very friendly and experienced. Lovely relaxing environment. I’m very happy with my experiences at Bella and highly recommend them!

Stay Away from Mary. She keeps trying to sell your extra stuff after you keep telling her NO. If she doesn’t get you to buy anything then she start to make up lies to get your to buy it. I will never come back here. Lesson Learned. STAY AWAY

I’ve been going to Bella for almost a year now and I will not go anywhere else. I live in California and I wait until I get a chance to come home to get a facial and laser treatment. The staff is professional and knowledgeable about products and services that are offered. It is a comfortable environment and I trust all of their suggestions. Katlyn at the desk has gone above and beyond to accommodate to my schedule and both Cher and Mary have done wonders for my skin. I highly recommend Bella by Alethea.

I’ve been going to Bella for probably more than a year now and I love the service that this company has provided to me. I love Alethea and the service that she gives to her customers. I just recently had a situation that I wasn’t happy about, but Alethea quickly stepped in and fixed the issue. She seems to go out of her way to make sure you are happy with your results. And she’s always happy and jolly all the time. That makes me feel really comfortable with her and her business. I would definitely recommend Bella to anyone.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for months. I bought a coupon on groupon or loclly and then I looked at Unilocal.I was really frightened by some of the reviews. I went in nervously. I got ipl laser. I haven’t had any issues and the staff is always very sweet and accommodating. I bought another 4 lasers directly from them and my husband did as well. I’m sure some treatments are more productive than others, as everyone’s skin is different, and there may be a bad apple on staff who has a bad attitude that i haven’t met. I’ve been about 6 times and it was always a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend them.

I cannot rave about this place enough. I had been getting peels from this great lady, only to find out that it was Alethea, the OWNER! She is the most humble, sweet person ever, and knows EVERYTHING about skin… always on the cutting edge! LOVE the staff and it is a cute-​cute spa!!!

I love this place! Alethea herself has done my work every time, and she is very sweet. I have never had to wait, and usually am seen early. I was very impressed with the work I had done to clear up brown spots on my face — the difference is remarkable. I will continue to use her for my cosmetic needs.

I have been going to Alethea for over 3 years, even before her spa opened. She is an amazing aesthetician, and I highly recommend the medspa. When it comes to your laser or microdermabrasian for skin, face, body, you CANNOT compromise. When you go to Bella, you get the full package, quality and professionalism, and glowy beautiful skin. It is always very relaxing and in my opinion, the best spa in Atlanta. I have gone to a couple of bigger medspas, and this boutique at-​home luxury feel is something not easily replicated. If you cannot book Alethea, ask for Nicole, she is great, too!!! Definitely a lifer at Bella :-).

I bought a groupon for 6 microdermabrasion treatments, I had my first one there yesterday. I only bought them because the ones at my dermatologist are so much more expensive, but now I know why– they were so much better.
The woman started with cleansing my face with a scrub since I had makeup on, all I wear is powder and blush which had honestly probably worn off by that time and the makeup probably could have been taken off with a cleansing wipe… like it was at my dermatologist. After the session was over I felt like the scrub was partially meant to make up for how bad the microdermabrasion tool is.
She then wiped that off with water and put something on my face to bring the dirt to the surface and then wiped that off with water and THEN began the Microdermabrasion. After that was over she put some sort of mask on me to calm the skin.
Microdermabrasion isn’t supposed to feel good. I was completely comfortable the whole time, it just felt like someone was putting a tiny little vacuum to my face and neck, you couldn’t feel the sand taking off the dead skin at all. My experience at my dermatologist was not exactly pleasant, but it wasn’t excruciating pain either, normal, what you are supposed to feel in the process.
My skin looked great when she was done, very dewy. It just looked very moisturized. After the ones at my dermatologist I can tell a significant difference the next day, new skin. My skin looks bright and shiny and clean. Today after my Microdermabrasion at Bella it looks just like it did before I went in yesterday. It’s like all she did was put on all whole bunch of masks and moisturizers on me yesterday. OH, and today I have a pimple from all of the moisturizers!- to top it off :)
I have 5 more to go. Oh well.

I came to Bella for laser hair removal on my upper lip — aka my mom-​stache as my kids call it.
I drove down from Gainesville eight times to lie on the table and get zapped in the face. Frankly, it felt like I was making a trip into the city once a month to get backhanded in the mouth — it’s a sensitive area!- so, like nasty tasting medicine, I had high hopes it was doing some good.
The facility is calm and classy and the ladies there were always kind and professional.
Sadly, eight treatments in, I’d say I had maybe 30% less hair and now, two years later, it’s like I never had it done at all. Very disappointing to have to go back to waxing the ‘stache after all that. I know mustachios are en vogue these days… but I’d rather not have the boys in my son’s Cub Scout troop asking me if I can grow a mustache like a cowboys any more.

I go to Bella for all my laser hair removal. Nicole is the absolute best! She carefully walks you through the process and makes sure you are «ok» during the entire session. I have treated my upper lip and underarms. My plan is to continue with other areas that need permanent hair removal. Oh the joys of being light skinned with black hair!

I bought a groupon for microderm in an attempt to save some money. It can get expensive fast! I’ve had microderm before and I felt like my skin was ready for it again.
I met with the lady that would be doing the microderm and I felt like from the start she was trying to make me buy more services and products. She told me to see the best results that I would need to come every 3 weeks for microderm. (I have VERY sensitive skin so this sounded odd to me!) She washed my face with a Clarisonic (is that sanitary??) and put a mask on before starting the microderm. Once she took the mask off, she rubbed an alcohol wipe over my face. Ive had several facials before and I’ve never had anyone use rubbing alcohol on my face before.
She kept recommending a product to help with sun spots and acne that you could also use for bruising. She was really pushing this product, so I finally just said okay when she said she’d leave it at the counter. If she wasn’t so abrasive about me getting this product, I would have purchased it.
After my first visit I decided to check Unilocal for other reviews of this place. It seems like a lot of people have had experiences like mine, and some even worse.
The deal I bought had me getting 2 sessions, so this past Saturday was my second appointment. The same lady did my facial. It was the same routine as last time, pushing products, pushing more Groupon services that I «needed», etc.
Once she was done, she put a tinted moisturizer on my face. I don’t know if that had some type of sand it in, or if some type of sand was left on my face prior to, but when I got in my car I started wiping my face off. Who wants to feel grit on their face? The next time I get a facial, I’ll stick to the people I used to go to. even if there is a good Groupon offer. It’s not worth it!
One thing I forgot to mention, the first time I had it done, I had my own dead skin everywhere on me. My chest, ears. GROSS! I don’t care if its mine or not. This past Saturday I made a point to cover my ear holes up so that the skin wouldn’t get in there. She moved it! WTF?
I’m all about tipping, especially if the service is great. The first time I tipped 20% because I felt I needed to. The second time I just acted like I was in a hurry (so I didn’t have to buy products I «needed» OR tip) and left quickly. Nightmare!
Not to mention, I’ve had several facials by Skin Aesthetics Med Spa & Laser Center (check out my review of them — they are amaze!) and not once has anyone told me that I «needed» something for my skin. They are always willing to give you samples too, which is a bonus!
