I have had lunch here several times before which was good, so I came for breakfast with three others in my party. We ordered at the counter, paid and sat down. There were only two other patrons seated at the time. Two of our party were served their breakfast in a reasonable time, and we assumed that the other two of us would be served shortly. After another ten minutes, no food arrived. When I went to the counter to ask about our breakfast, it was clear it had never been ordered. One woman at the counter, one in the kitchen, and few other customers and they can’t get our order out? We asked for a refund and left.

Apparently the dinner business was not cutting it @ BJ’s and they eliminated dinner service. Too bad, but breakfast and lunch are still available. Biscuits are good and portions are impressive. This is one of the few places I know of serving kosher corned beef for breakfast. I feel kind of dirty eating breakfast somewhere other than the Galaxy Diner, but these guys have earned at least a try, in my book.

I have had a chance to come here on a few occasions, both for breakfast and lunch. It is cafeteria food done well. The prices are fair for the food. The breakfast at BJs is always a gamble because the quality depends on the cook that day. Sometimes the pancakes are overdone, eggs overcooked. Breakfast is an art, and BJ’s does better with the mass quantity cafeteria style offerings than the made to order breakfasts. Case in point I ordered«Huevos Mexicanos» that was advertised as two eggs, scrambled with onions, and chile peppers served with refried beans” I got two eggs scrambled with onions, potatoes and green peppers served with dry toast and LIMABEANS! I’m sorry, Lima beans??? What part of Mexico is this tradition from? The owner excused it by saying they did not have refried beans but that the Lima beans were«good». I always try to support local owners, but hate when they dismiss common sense and service to squeeze a profit. This location has housed many failed restaurants, from similar country food offerings to Indian cuisine, and in each case customers had the last say as to what they wanted, it wasn’t enough that the owners thought it was«good».

Not only was the food EXCELLENT and the portions ABSOLUTELYHUGE but the people were so friendly that I felt like I was in my own home with my own family. I don’t even know what else positive I could say about this place. It’s DEFINITELY a great place to try. Just fair warning… if you go to «chow down», put on your«eatin britches» because you’re going to get a LOT of food for not a lot of money!

I came here for lunch sometime last month as this was right down the street from my workplace. You wouldn’t expect it from the outside/plaza that it’s in but it is SUPER cute and meticulous inside. You can tell this place is run by women lol. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff who walked us through the process(think cafeteria style). We ended up ordering the meat combo which consisted of: 1 meat entrée + 2 sides + drink = $ 7 exactly. We weren’t too impressed with the meat entrée’s but the sides were decent. For the large portions you get for the price, this place isn’t too bad for a lunch joint. It seems to be a pretty popular place among the working crowd during the weekdays. There’s plenty of seating and their service was A+++. If you’re eating solo, they also have a flat screen TV for your entertainment.
