Bliss Spa

Hosted a small bachelorette party at Bliss Spa at the W. The five of us enjoyed: full body massages, pedicures and facials. All the treatments and services were outstanding. We loved access to the pool and the very civilized bubbly and apps in the lounge. Kudos to spa manager Joey and his well trained staff. We also enjoyed the other patrons and their company. Great vibe, great, no nonsense, no attitude day spa. We will all be back!

Finally I made the time for Bliss! I’ve want to visit a Bliss Spa for years. My flight to Atlanta set up just right for me to book. I utilized the «Bliss Spa Booking» app to book my appointment. My appointment was booked out weeks in advance, but finding a appointment was rather limited. Guess everyone wants to come here too. I originally wanted a nail appointment but no such luck. I then decided on a «Blissage45» massage. The time worked for me but I longed for well a longer massage. I had a early flight to Atlanta I headed to the W for breakfast. I highly recommend stopping here for food. Next I heading upstairs and checked in for my massage. I was very early so Joey D the wonderful man behind the front desk showed me to the locker room. I mentioned to him that I would like a longer massage, he going to see if they could accommodate. I was able to grab a robe and lounge out by the pool with some champagne. The roof top was windy and cool. But it was relaxing in the sun. To warm up I visited the steam shower in the locker room. My massage therapist Tamiko greeted me early and let me know we could get started early for a longer massage. I was so excited how they were able to accommodate my schedule. The whole massage was wonderful, having worked in a spa I am a bit of a massage critic. I highly recommend Tamiko! She listened to me about how much pressure I like and delivered a wonderful massage. I loved this experience. I feel like my massage could have been better but my girlfriend I went with, who had a different massage, loved her masseuse. The facial was fabulous. And I loved the private shower/​sauna. I would definitely go back when I come back to Atlanta.

Received a massage and facial from here… overall would say it was just average. For the prices I would expect more pampering and luxurious accommodations. The facial left my skin feeling very oily. The massage was good but it’s hard to mess up a full body massage. All in all, just ok but for those prices I expect more!

I had an awesome Blissage with Leslie and manicure with Corina. They kept pampering me with champagne. Could have lounged by the pool. Awesome experience and will absolutely go back if I’m ever in Atlanta again! Thanks so much!

I’m traveling for business and had the WORST knot in my back. It felt like a baseball was lodged under my shoulder and I knew I needed help. This place was super flexible with their times and were able to easily work me in. From the champagne at the beginning and end, to the delicious brownies and eucalyptus steam shower, to David the massage tech who exceeding my expectations for a quick 30 minute massage, I’ll definitely return if I’m in Atlanta or The W again.

I had the pleasure of spending some time at this wonderful spa. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. I had an appt. the day before but I got lost so I was about 20 minutes late. Instead of that time getting counted against me, Dwayne offered to come in a couple of hours earlier the next day just so he could accommodate me. His massage skills are impeccable. It was one of the best massages that I have ever received in a very long time. He was very attentive to my needs and worked very hard to get rid of all my aches and pain. Both days that I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. The entire staff was very polite and had a great attitude. You could tell that they really enjoyed their job. I will definitely return the next time that I am in Atlanta. If I lived closer to Atlanta, I would be broke because I would be visiting this spa at least 4 days a week.

Love the spa/​wet bar rooftop view on the 16^th floor… that alone is worth the spa appointment. That pretty much accounts for the high rating for the spa– I arrived, valeted my car, and stopped at the front desk to get a key card for elevator access to the 16^th floor. The pool has these great white lounge chairs on the edges of the pool that allows you to sunbathe but also easily roll into the pool if you need to cool off… or hang partway off the chair and you can be in the water while working on your tan. There are also cushy lounge benches instead of traditional poolside seating, with great views of downtown Atlanta, with glass walls surrounding the entire floor. No wait service though, at least not while I was there… if you want food or beverages, I think you have to physically walk inside to the bar to order. Take your time here… I arrived with lots of extra time to relax by the pool.
I don’t know why I bothered filling out the spa form… neither the masseuse or facial esthetician found or read the form, so anything I wrote about what my massage and facial preferences are were ignored. My facial, while effective, was nowhere close to being relaxing, which I put on my form… the lady was banging containers around, making a big to-​do with rolling her chair around the room, and basically scrubbed the hell out of my sensitive skinned face with every step from cleansing, exfoliating, toner, mask & moisturizer. The music, alternating between jazz and easy listening pop, in the room was also LOUD… I think I was more tense coming out of the room than I was going in. Masseuse fared much better, but only after I told her what my preferences were.
The locker room and waiting room/​lounge area are both small… it can probably only accommodate 2 – 4 people, otherwise it will start to become crowded. I was shown the locker room and assigned locker (which has a number keypad lock where you assign the code) upon arrival, and given flip flops and a robe for my spa visit. There is one shower which is huge with 2 showerheads (including a rainfall showerhead), and one wall is a window with privacy film so that you get the filtered sunlight in the shower. There are containers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash installed on the wall, as well as flip down benches if you want to have a steam shower. The tiles are kind of cool– they were ceramic squares and looked like grass. There were also only two bathroom stalls, one of which was out of order when I was there. The lounge had complimentary water, tea and snacks– cheese cubes, sesame crackers, blondies, and the famous W fudge brownies. My spa treatment package came with a glass of sparkling wine as well. The spa will also validate the valet parking.
Overall, great pool experience and ok spa experience.

Joey the spa director is the best I’ve ever met. I had low expectations for a downtown hotel spa. They are professional and the therapists have been at the same location since the beginning. They all seem happy to work there and you can’t say that for every spa.

At Bliss spa right now and it’s wonderful! Everyone has been so polite and accomodating. Pamela provided great and speedy booking; Erica gave an expert facial and especially paid attention to my sensitive skin; and Corina did the most meticulous pedicure on the planet; she really took great care of me. I came here to relax and get a nap along with some pampering — and i’ve gotten just that. The spa is clean (very necessary) and with any service you can access the pool and steam shower. I’ll certainly be back again once I make the time for myself again.

Never been to a Bliss Spa location even though I have been interested by their products over the years. I love to check out the best Unilocal rated spas in most new cities I go to, especially if they are in the neighborhood. Bliss Spa at the W Hotel was great, I had a Blissage 75 with Amber, who was both bubbly and warm as well as highly skilled and professional.
I took off one star because it’s pretty small for a day spa and even though I liked the music that was playing, I am not accustomed to hearing music with lyrics in a spa– I find myself focusing on it rather than relaxing. Regardless– it was wonderful, I would definitely recommend the spa and Amber the massage therapist.

It was nice; massage was nice; had a travelzoo coupon which made it all reasonably priced. Not mind blown, but solid.

Very nice staff! Used their steM bath facilities and have gotten a couple of services in the past. It is worth the money you pay.

My sweet Valentine treated me to an overnight stay at the W Hotel and a «Blissage» this morning. The spa was very cute and I hate I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the steam room. I am so big on customer service and making a relaxing experience a great one from the front door to the back room. The receptionist was rather dry, maybe 9am was too early for her liking. She wasn’t rude at all, just dry. My massage therapist, Lindsay, was just OK. Not sure how much experience she has but I wouldn’t assume she’s been in the business for a while. Her knuckles were killer and she used them a bit too much. There went my relaxation. I’ve had many massages but never had one as uncomfortable as this. She was nice though (very important detail).
The music was not the relaxing spa music that I normally prefer. I love a good jazzy feeling slow song but you have to be careful when using music with lyrics in a spa setting. Too powerful of a singer (though they may have a great voice) could change the mood, as it did. I’ve been wanting to try Bliss for a long time now and I’m kinda disappointed :-(
I almost forgot to mention that my though I was scheduled for a 75 minute massage, my service did not take 75 minutes. My therapist came to retrieve me from the locker area at least 10 minutes after my appointment time and I made it back to the locker room to get dress a couple of minutes before what should have been my massage ending time. I really don’t like the feeling of not getting what I paid for in more ways than one. I got dressed and left immediately. I was kinda disappointed to find out that my husband had already left a good tip.

I absolutely love coming to Bliss Spa. It is one of the nicest experiences I have ever had. The staff is so professional and friendly. From the moment you walk in the door, they strive to make you feel special. My massage therapist was Carla, I highly recommend her. I have never had such a fabulous massage before. So if you want to be pampered and leave your hectic life behind for a few hours, this is the Spa for you.

Ahhhh… I so needed this! My massage was so amazing I don’t remember the therapists name. I do know this I left feeling like a new me. From start to finish everything was top notch. My therapists kept me warm as I get cold easily. She kept checking in with me to see if my temperature was ok. Love that. I left in a blissful daze. Thank goodness I wasn’t driving. The staff all the way around treated me like VIP and I loved it. Thank you!

It’s sad to realize how awesome that your services are after you go to another location with the same name. I mistakenly booked for another location. I was all excited to see the Bliss crew since I no longer live in Atlanta.
Let’s just say that it was good, but not amazing like the Downtown location.
I went in 2011 for a spa day of mani/​pedis, scalp massage, body massage and facial. Awesome! It didn’t even matter that it rained so the pool wasn’t available. The steam shower was tenfold better. You got to try it. I’ll be back for a visit soon. Best spa trip ever. The products, information and experience is still memorable. From check in to check out, you will love it.

Went online and made a same day appointment for a manicure, wonderful not to have to call from my office! I always enjoy the cucumber water and relax for a few minutes before my appointment. Kim did a wonderful job on my manicure, you can tell she’s a professional.
One of the few salons downtown Atlanta and I will definitely be back when I’m in town.

Sipping bubbly poolside before noon on a weekday? Yes, it’s me in the gigantic sunglasses.
I had an early massage appointment, so for a while, it felt like the spa was my personal playground. I sat and sipped tea, took a steam shower, snacked on treats and read magazines. Once others arrived, it was a bit cramped, as it is a pretty small space.
My service was flawless, although the paraffin seemed to have zero effect on my abused summer sandal feet.
I loved the ceramic lawn floor tiles and the soft, lightweight robes. No whale music here. It was the first time I’d heard Peter Tosh and Nina Simone in a spa, and they even had a track by my one of my faves, James Hunter.
Slight yuk factor: hairs by the sink and on the shower floor and walls. The pool furniture was a bit spotty and the white lounges have seen better days.
Overall, it was a splendid escape.

Absolutely loved my pedi here! There was a 20% off coupon so it made my pedi very affordable. Love the ambiance and décor of the spa, very relaxing. My pedicurist was great – a good balance of friendly, professional but not too chatty. I take 1 star off for their poor phone customer service. I was new in town and found the salon on a whim when I needed a pedi in the next hour or so. I walked to the spa and got a little lost. I was told that I would be charged for my full pedi if I didn’t show up within 30 mins! That is a horrible cancellation policy if you ask me, especially if you make your appointment the same day. But my pedicure was so wonderful, it was worth the extra trek out.
